National Academic Conference with International Participation was held at Kuban State University. The participants discussed the impact of digitalization on various aspects of political relations in modern society. The conference was attended by political scientists, philosophers, economists, sociologists, and philologists, resulting in the interdisciplinary nature of the discussions. The paper offers an analytical summary of the most interesting reports and the fundamental academic issues raised by the speakers.

The national research and practice online conference with international participation – “Social risks in modern society” was held at the Murmansk Arctic State University to discuss the current problems with respect to the development of today’s society. The academic novelty of the stu­dies presented at the conference is determined by widening of the concepts of the social risk phenomenon, conditions, causes and consequences of risk exposure for individuals, social groups, institutions and the society as a whole; the identification of certain risk factors specific to various regions of Russia and foreign countries; the assessment of the impact of risk events in modern society, including the 2020 pandemic; the identification of risk management mechanisms as well as best practices to prevent and handle risk-related consequences. A total of 186 attendees, including 8 foreign experts, took part in the conference; 84 papers were presented, most of them were based on the findings of studies undertaken with the support by the Russian Fundamental Research Fund. The conference brought together participants from 22 Russian regions and 5 foreign countries. As a follow-up to the conference, there were deve­loped guidelines on social risk management in today’s context.

The article covers the proceedings of the IV International Academic Conference ‘Historical, Cultural, Interethnic, Religious and Political Relations of the Crimea with the Mediterranean Region and the Countries of the East’, which was held on October 6–10, 2020 in Sevastopol on the basis of the Sevastopol State University and the State Historical and Archeological Museum-Reserve ‘Chersonesos Taurica’. Talks on given problems were distributed through several areas of research — marine archeology, data from written sources, history, international affairs, historiography and cartography, archeology, numismatics, and others. Particular attention was paid to the interdisciplinary and complex research.

The process of globalization, which many times is considered as new world order is affecting all spheres of modern society but also the media. In this paper specifically we will see the impact of globalization because we see changing the media access to global problems in general being listed on these processes. We will see that the greatest difficulties will have small media as such because the process is moving in the direction of creating mega media which thanks to new technology are reaching to deliver news and information at the time of their occurrence through choked the small media. So it is fair to conclude that the rapid economic development and especially the technology have made the world seem "too small" to the human eyes, because for real-time we will communicate with the world with the only one Internet connection, and also all the information are take for the development of events in the four corners of the world and direct from the places when the events happen. Even Albanian space has not left out of this process because the media in the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Kosovo are adapted to the new conditions under the influence of the globalization process. This fact is proven powerful through creating new television packages, written the websites and newspapers in their possession.

This research the impact of competitive quasi market on service delivery in Benue State University, Makurdi Nigeria. Both primary and secondary source of data and information were used for the study and questionnaire was used to extract information from the purposively selected respondents. The population for this study is one hundred and seventy three (173) administrative staff of Benue State University selected at random. The statistical tools employed was the classical ordinary least square (OLS) and the probability value of the estimates was used to tests hypotheses of the study. The result of the study indicates that a positive relationship exist between Competitive quasi marketing in Benue State University, Makurdi Nigeria (CQM) and Transparency in the service delivery (TRSP) and the relationship is statistically significant (p<0.05). Competitive quasi marketing (CQM) has a negative effect on Observe Competence in Benue State University, Makurdi Nigeria (OBCP) and the relationship is not statistically significant (p>0.05). Competitive quasi marketing (CQM) has a positive effect on Innovation in Benue State University, Makurdi Nigeria (INVO) and the relationship is statistically significant (p<0.05) and in line with a priori expectation. This means that a unit increases in Competitive quasi marketing (CQM) will result to a corresponding increase in innovation in Benue State University, Makurdi Nigeria (INVO) by a margin of 22.5%. It was concluded that government monopoly in the provision of certain types of services has greatly affected the quality of service experience in the institution. It was recommended among others that the stakeholders in the market has to be transparent so that the system will be productive to serve the society effectively

This perspective discusses the impact of political economy on the regulation of modern biotechnology. Modern biotechnology has contributed to sustainable development, but its potential has been underexplored and underutilized. We highlight the importance of the impacts of regulations for investments in modern biotechnology and argue that improvements are possible via international harmonization of approval processes. This development is urgently needed for improving sustainable development. Policy makers in the European Union (EU) in particular are challenged to rethink their approach to regulating modern biotechnology as their decisions have far ranging consequences beyond the boundaries of the EU and they have the power to influence international policies.

Abstract Seasonal-to-multidecadal applications that require ocean surface energy fluxes often require accuracies of surface turbulent fluxes to be 5 W m−2 or better. While there is little doubt that uncertainties in the flux algorithms and input data can cause considerable errors, the impact of temporal averaging has been more controversial. The biases resulting from using monthly averaged winds, temperatures, and humidities in the bulk aerodynamic formula (i.e., the so-called classical method) to estimate the monthly mean latent heat fluxes are shown to be substantial and spatially varying in a manner that is consistent with most prior work. These averaging-related biases are linked to nonnegligible submonthly covariances between the wind, temperature, and humidity. To provide additional insight into the averaging-related bias, the methodology behind the third-generation Florida State University monthly mean surface flux product (FSU3) is detailed to highlight additional sources of errors in gridded datasets. The FSU3 latent heat fluxes suffer from this averaging-related bias, which can be as large as 90 W m−2 in western boundary current regions during winter and can exceed 40 W m−2 in synoptically active portions of the tropics. The regional impacts of these biases on the mixed layer temperature tendency are shown to demonstrate that the error resulting from applying the classical method is physically substantial.

Based on historical and theoretical analysis of the development of social functioning of musical communication, as well as some problems of its management, the author attempts to theoretically justify the ways and means of optimizing music and communication processes that contribute to enhance the social and cultural role of musical art. The article describes fundamental concepts, which should be taken as the basis for the organization of musical life in modern society. The author puts forward such a conceptual theoretical statement as the principle of multi-factor audience differentiation. Consequently, the paper considers important facets of the theory of musical communication management in society, namely the target programming, scientific forecasting and long-term planning. The ways and methods of implementing these principles aimed at the achievement of a certain level of control over the music communication processes in society are also considered. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the impact of current social and economic changes in Russia on the formation of marketing and management in the social life of musical art.

It is noted that in modern socio-economic conditions the problem of social responsibility of business, which is based on the responsibility of the organization for the impact of its decisions on society, its welfare, the environment; the interrelation of such concepts as social corporate responsibility, corporate ethics, corporate culture, business ethics, social and ethical marketing, image, reputation is analyzed. Emphasis is placed on the fact that compliance with the principles of socially responsible marketing directly affects the formation of a positive image and reputation of the company, which in turn are the same assets of the company as others, but do not have a material component. The essence of the concepts "image" and "reputation" is revealed, the interrelation between these concepts is investigated and their fundamental differences are determined. The special role of trust in the process of managing the reputation of the organization is determined; the definition of trust as the basis for the formation of reputation is given; emphasis is placed on the crisis of confidence in modern society and approaches to overcoming this crisis. It is noted that the formation of trust is possible due to the openness of the company and public dialogue, which is based on the organization's communication policy, not only with the use of advertising in all its manifestations or PR technologies, but also certain social actions, active participation in public life. solving social problems, ie all those issues that are outside the scope of business, but indirectly affect it. It is concluded that socio-ethical, environmental, cultural problems have long acquired a global character, solving these problems brings additional benefits to business in the long run, strengthens its reputation and forms a positive image in society, to implement all these intentions designed socially responsible marketing , which becomes a tool in managing the reputation of the organization. It is noted that the problem of reputation management as an asset of the organization, which is becoming increasingly important and requires a strategic approach, needs special attention.
