Earnings management becomes an interesting topic of discussion. One of the thinking that as long as done in accordance with Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards it is difficult to say as earnings management. However, accountants tend to use accounting treatment to meet certain interests. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is earnings management in companies in the Food and Beverages Industry Sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data used in this study is secondary data derived from the financial statements of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2016. The results showed that almost all companies that become the object of research to did earnings management, either by lowering or increasing the company's profit.Keywords: Earnings Management

This study aims to determine the effect of simultaneous and partial ownership structure and earnings management on firm value in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. The method used in this study is the census method. The population studied was 32 companies in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. The data collected were secondary data. Analysis of the data in this study used path analysis using SPSS V. 24. The results showed that the ownership structure and earnings management, simultaneously, had a significant effect on the value of the company in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. The ownership structure, partially, has no significant effect on the value of the company in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. Earnings management, partially, has a significant effect on the firm value of the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies that are listed on the Exchange Indonesian Securities in 2014, and ownership structure does not significantly influence earnings management in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. Keywords: ownership structure, earnings management, company value

The presentation of Islamic Financial Statements has been regulated in PSAK 101 and every bank needs to refer to it. As we know, PT Bank Syariah Mandiri is the number 1 largest Islamic bank in Indonesia and other information obtained by researchers, PT Bank Syariah Mandiri will merge with 2 other Islamic state-owned banks, namely PT Bank BNI Syariah and PT Bank BRI Syariah. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining whether the financial statements of PT Bank Syariah Mandiri are appropriate in applying the application of Financial Accounting Standards 101. The types of data used are qualitative and quantitative data, the data used are general company information and company financial statement information in 2019. Sources the data used is secondary data. The data collection method is literature study. In the financial statements of PT Bank Syariah Mandiri, the bank has reported all components of the financial statements in PSAK 101. In the Statement of Financial Position PT Bank Syariah Mandiri does not include the Istishna Assets in Settlement and Salam Receivable accounts in the Statement of Financial Position, but in PSAK 101 Paragraph 61 explains Statement of Financial Accounting Standards 101 does not regulate the composition or format of presentation of statement of financial position items. PT Bank Syariah Mandiri continues to present relevant information on the Statement of Financial Position. However, in PSAK 101 Paragraph 61 explaining the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards 101 does not regulate the composition or format of the presentation of the statement of financial position. This study aims to examine the effect of Audit Committee, Independent Commissioner, Institutional Ownership, Managerial Ownership, Earnings Management to Related Party Transaction Disclosure. This type of research is quantitative reseacrh using secondary data of financial statements from manufacturing sector companies during 2016 to 2018 obtained from Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sampling technique that used is purposive sampling. The results showed that the Audit Committee, Independent Commissioners, Institutional Ownership, Managerial Ownership and Profit Management were able to influence the disclosure of related party transactions by 13%, while the remaining 87% were influenced by other variables outside this study. Partially, institutional ownership and managerial ownership significantly influence the disclosure of related party transactions. While the audit committee, independent commissioners and earnings management do not affect the disclosure of related party transactions.

This study aims to review transactions conducted by multinational companies operating in Indonesia related to transfer pricing activities. This study uses qualitative methods using two approaches, content analysis, and interviews. The content analysis aims to obtain related party disclosure information in the financial statements as stipulated in PSAK No. 7 (2015). The data used in the financial statements of manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry sector are included in multinational companies and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2014-2017. Meanwhile, interviews were conducted to confirm the data obtained through content analysis. The informant in the interview is one of the Polytechnic of State Finance STAN lecturer, who has academic expertise in international tax accounting and transfer pricing. This study concludes that, in general, multinational companies operating in Indonesia have disclosed related party information in their financial statements. Furthermore, the assessment of the fairness of transactions with related parties related to transfer pricing is based on the arm's length principle. The results of this study indicate the need for broader disclosure of financial accounting standards in Indonesia and the harmonization of taxation regulations in Indonesia with tax regulations in other countries related to transfer pricing practices.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengulas transaksi-transaksi yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan multinasional yang beroperasi di Indonesia terkait dengan aktivitas transfer pricing. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan dua pendekatan, yaitu content analysis dan wawancara. Content analysis bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi pengungkapan pihak-pihak yang berelasi dalam laporan keuangan sebagaimana diatur dalam PSAK No. 7 (2015). Data yang digunakan adalah laporan keuangan perusahaan manufaktur sektor industri barang konsumsi yang termasuk dalam kategori perusahaan multinasional dan terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dari tahun 2014-2017. Sementara itu, wawancara dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengkonfirmasi data-data yang diperoleh melalui content analysis. Informan dalam wawancara adalah salah satu dosen Politeknik Keuangan Negara STAN yang memiliki keahlian akademis dalam akuntansi perpajakan internasional dan transfer pricing. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa secara umum perusahaan multinasional yang beroperasi di Indonesia telah mengungkapkan informasi pihak-pihak berelasi dalam laporan keuangannya. Selanjutnya, penilaian kewajaran transaksi dengan pihak berelasi terkait dengan transfer pricing berdasarkan arm’s length principle. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan perlunya pengungkapan yang lebih luas dalam standar akuntansi keuangan di Indonesia dan harmonisasi peraturan perpajakan di Indonesia dengan peraturan perpajakan di negara lain-lain terkait dengan praktek transfer pricing.

This study aims to analyze the effect of KAP size, firm size and earnings management on the integrity of financial statements. The integrity of financial statements is the extent to which the financial statements presented indicate true and honest information. This study was taken because there are still contradictions from previous studies. This study uses secondary data. The population in this study is the consumer goods industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2012-2016. Determination of the sample by purposive sampling method, there are 13 samples from the total population of 40. The method used to analyze the data is panel data regression analysis, Eviews 9. Regression analysis results show that firm size negatively significant to the integrity of financial statements. While the size of KAP and earnings management have no significant effect on the integrity of financial statements.Keywords: Financial Statement Integrity, Company Size, Company Size and Earnings Management

This study investigated financial leverage on earnings management in manufacturing firms in Nigeria. A total of twenty-nine (29) listed firms on the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) were studied, and secondary data were extracted from their annual financial statements as reported in the factbook. Ordinary least squares (OLS) method was used to analyze the data. The results revealed that: the management of manufacturing companies in Nigeria employs all the three strategies of earnings management in their companies. The relationships between financial leverage and each of the dependent variables are positive but weak. Financial leverage does not have a significant impact on accruals earnings management in listed manufacturing firms in Nigeria; but it does on real earnings management and deferred tax earnings management; The study concludes that financial leverage has a positive impact on accrual earnings management, while both financial leverage and total leverage has a negative effect on real earning management. The study recommends that users of financial statements should factor in financial leverage in assessing reported earnings by lowering/upping their expectations as to the reliability of the earnings, depending on whether financial leverage is high or low.

This study aims to discuss the accounting implementation by the Indonesia Companies in recognizing, measuring, presenting, and disclosing environmental obligations that occur as a result of the company's operations. The analysis is carried out by reviewing disclosures on environmental management activities that have been carried out by the company, which has financial reports and annual reports. The method used is descriptive qualitative method with the data used are secondary data, financial statements, and annual reports obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2015 to 2017 fiscal years. The samples employed in this study is thirteen food and beverage subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2015 to 2017. The results of this study suggest that from 2015 to 2017, the food and beverage sub-sector companies have not reported any environmental obligations in the form of social-environmental responsibilities in the financial statements. The companies report their environmental responsibility activities as a company expense reported on the income statement. Accounting for environmental obligations related to recognition, measurement, recording, disclosure, and reporting has not been regulated in financial accounting standards, so reporting environmental obligations is still voluntary.

In supporting the company's growth and development activities to achieve its goals, the company requires an asset or assets. Assets are a form of wealth and resources owned by the company. Fixed assets have a very important position in the company so that it can run well. The purpose of this study was to determine the suitability of the application of fixed asset accounting at PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk to the recognition of property and equipment, measurement of the time of disclosure of property, plant and equipment, measurement after disclosure of property, plant and equipment, derecognition of property and equipment, and disclosure of property, plant and equipment compared to PSAK No. 16. The data used in this scientific writing is Secondary Data in the form of information regarding the Accounting Application of Fixed Assets of PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk in the 2019 Financial Statements. The data analysis method used in this scientific writing is the descriptive-comparative analysis method. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk in carrying out its Fixed Assets accounting policies in accordance with PSAK No. 16 but PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk has not adopted PSAK No. 16 in its financial statements. The author assumes the application of accounting by PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk regarding PSAK No. 16 has complied with financial accounting standards. Therefore, the application of accounting for PT Gajah Tunggal's fixed assets must be maintained, carried out effectively and the company can adopt PSAK 16 in its financial statements.

The COVID-19 pandemic, which began in the first quarter (Q1) of 2020 in Indonesia, has certainly had a major impact on the company’s financial performance. The first-quarter financial report should have been able to show the actual condition of the financial company because it can be a projection for investors and analysts regarding the company’s performance in the next period. Unfortunately, many gaps in financial reporting that can provide space for management to commit earnings management. This study aims to prove the difference in earnings management in the Q1 of 2020, namely the period after the COVID-19 pandemic with the Q1 of 2019, namely the period before the COVID-19 pandemic. The data type of the research is secondary data using the financial statements of companies listed on the Indonesian Stock exchange in the Q1 of 2018, the Q1 of 2019, and the Q1 of 2020. The Q1 of 2018 is needed in this research related to the search for the Q1 of the year of 2019 data. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the Wilcoxon test with SPSS 25 software. This research has proven that there is a difference in earnings management in the Q1 of 2019, namely before the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Q1 of 2020, named after the COVID-19 pandemic. The level of earnings management during the COVID-19 pandemic represented in the Q1 of 2020 was lower than the earnings management in the period before the COVID-19 pandemic, namely in the Q1 of 2019.

This research was conducted to see the effect of tax planning and company size on earnings management (Empirical Study on Company MAnufacturing Listed In Indonesia Stock Exchange). The factors tested in this study are tax planning and company size as independent variables and earnings management as the dependent variable.                This type of research is descriptive method of analysis and type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study is a manufacturing company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2015-2017. Sampling technique in this study using purposive sampling technique, so that obtained the number of samples of 21 companies with the final data amounted to 63 financial statements. Sources of data in this study are secondary data downloaded through www.idx.co.id and corporate website each in the form of annual financial statements of the company for 3 years in the period 2015 to 2017. Data analysis techniques in this study using multiple linear regression analysis.                 The results of this study indicate that simultaneously tax planning and the size of the company have a significant influence on the earings management in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock sExchange for the 2015-2017 period.
