The 5G mobile communication has now become commercially available. Furthermore, research across the globe has begun to improve the system beyond 5G and it is anticipated that 6G will deliver higher quality services and energy efficiency than 5G. The mobile network architecture needs to be redesigned to meet the requirements of the future. In the wake of the commercial rollout of the 5G model, both users and developers have realized the limitations of the system when compared to the system's original premise of being able to support the vast applications of connected devices. The article discusses the related technologies that can contribute to a robust and seamless network service. An upheaval in the use of vast mobile applications, especially those powered and managed by AI, has opened the doors to discussion on how mobile communication will evolve in the future. 6G is expected to go beyond being merely a mobile internet service provider to support the omnipresent AI services that will form the rock bed of end-to-end connected network-based devices. Moreover, the technologies that support 6G services and comprehensive research that enables this level of technical prowess have also been identified here. This paper presents a collective wide-angle vision that will facilitate a better understanding of the features of the 6G system.

The deployment of 4G/LTE (Long Term Evolution) mobile network has solved the major challenge of high capacities, to build real broadband mobile Internet. This was possible mainly through very strong physical layer and flexible network architecture. However, the bandwidth hungry services have been developed in unprecedented way, such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), etc. Furthermore, mobile networks are facing other new services with extremely demand of higher reliability and almost zero-latency performance, like vehicle communications or Internet-of-Vehicles (IoV). Using new radio interface based on massive MIMO, 5G has overcame some of these challenges. In addition, the adoption of software defend networks (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV) has added a higher degree of flexibility allowing the operators to support very demanding services from different vertical markets. However, network operators are forced to consider a higher level of intelligence in their networks, in order to deeply and accurately learn the operating environment and users behaviors and needs. It is also important to forecast their evolution to build a pro-actively and efficiently (self-) updatable network. In this chapter, we describe the role of artificial intelligence and machine learning in 5G and beyond, to build cost-effective and adaptable performing next generation mobile network. Some practical use cases of AI/ML in network life cycle are discussed.

In contemporary society, Internet services and phones are blending into a mobile device frequently called smartphone. As a consequence, mobile Internet is having an exponential growth and new practices of mobile social networking and mobile communication are emerging, as these devices make it easier to maintain networks of relationships. Resulting from this convergence, contemporary mobile user experience also contributes to the blending of local and global through the permanent dynamic articulation of communication and coordination. This chapter deals with the emerging adoption drivers of mobile Internet and the behaviors of use that characterized it, highlighting the importance of mobility for online activities and the industry’s and user’s perspective of this technology adoption, patterns of use, motivating factors, and type of activities performed online. The authors’ main hypotheses argue that the nature of social interactions allowed by m-Internet is a key adoption driver and that, as consequence, social activities are integrative and relevant parts of m-Internet service. Moreover, The authors discuss that the type of access has an influence on the type of activities undertaken online, arguing that mobile access facilitates interaction and participation and supports more collective-based activities.

Wireless mobile internet is migrating towards an integrated system of internet and mobile communication network to fulfill the future of mobile network requirement: ubiquitous communication, where mobile users move freely almost anywhere and have access to the internet, communicate with anyone, anytime with any application using the best service available. This demands rapid progress in mobile communication networks and their internet technologies. This research project on the analysis of the Quality of Service (QoS) provided by Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) in the cellular internet networks. It aims to analyze and address the QoS of the internet network experienced by the user. QoS monitoring and analysis require the processing of large amounts of data and knowledge of which kinds of applications the traffic is generated by. To obtain satisfactory QoS based on internet network analysis, some network metrics must be measured and monitored at a regular time interval. In this research work, the network metric that will be measured for the internet service are signal strength, download speed, upload speed, and network transaction latency. This network metrics data will be collected from the consumer’s mobile device by the use of a crowdsourcing mobile application that is installed on the consumer’s mobile device. The investigation will cover mobile communication network providers in Nigeria. The data collated is then evaluated and analyzed.

Networking connectivity is increasingly based on wireless network technologies, especially in developing nations where the wired network infrastructure is not accessible to a large segment of the population. Wireless data network technologies based on 2G and 3G are quite common globally; 4G-based deployments are on the rise during the past few years. At the same time, the increasing high-bandwidth and low-latency requirements of mobile applications has propelled the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standards organization to develop standards for the next generation of mobile networks, based on recent advances in wireless communication technologies. This standard is called the Fifth Generation (5G) wireless network standard. This paper presents a high-level overview of the important architectural components, of the advanced communication technologies, of the advanced networking technologies such as Network Function Virtualization and other important aspects that are part of the 5G network standards. The paper also describes some of the common future generation applications that require low-latency and high-bandwidth communications.

During the design processing of the future exploratory products, requirements from users seems to be a key factor for products availability achievement. As a practical user modeling method, Persona may accomplish the potential needs data mining effectively based on the analyzing of users. This review mainly focused on how to apply the persona in the exploratory products investigation to acquire useful information from the products design. The method to establish persona and the operating rules were also discussed in this article. The concept of the mobile internet device in future was used as an case to demonstrate the persona mentioned above.

: The ever-increasing dependency of the utilities on networking brought several cyber vulnerabilities and burdened them with dynamic networking demands like QoS, multihoming, and mobility. As the existing network was designed without security in context, it poses several limitations in mitigating the unwanted cyber threats and struggling to provide an integrated solution for the novel networking demands. These limitations resulted in the design and deployment of various add-on protocols that made the existing network architecture a patchy and complex network. The proposed work introduces one of the future internet architectures, which seem to provide abilities to mitigate the above limitations. Recursive internetworking architecture (RINA) is one of the future internets and appears to be a reliable solution with its promising design features. RINA extended inter-process communication to distributed inter-process communication and combined it with recursion. RINA offered unique inbuilt security and the ability to meet novel networking demands with its design. It has also provided integration methods to make use of the existing network infrastructure. The present work reviews the unique architecture, abilities, and adaptability of RINA based on various research works of RINA. The contribution of this article is to expose the potential of RINA in achieving efficient networking solutions among academia and industry.

Abstract This paper describes the design of a testing environment for massive assessment of assignments for Android application programming courses. Specific testing methods and tool suggestions are continuously consulted with Wirecard company, dedicated to the development of mobile applications. The paper also analyzes the most common mistakes of students and suggests ways to uncover them through tests. Based on these, it creates tests, compares the performance of the emulator and real device tests, and the proposed tools are partially retrospectively tested on assignments from the previous run of a particular Android application programming course. From partial results the paper suggests changes for the course in relation to the testing environment and deploys it in the background of the course alongside the manual evaluation. It describes testing experience, analyzes the results and suggests changes for the future
