Abstract The comparative analysis of theoretical bases and the practice of moral education technologies implementation in Polish and Ukrainian pedagogy has been made. There has been stated that moral education technology in Ukrainian pedagogical science can be interpreted as a moral education system, the constituent parts of which are the following: aims, the content of the technology, procedural components (forms, methods and means of interaction between a teacher and pupils), diagnostic tools, and the result that meets the defined aim. Moral education technology can also be interpreted as modern means of moral education; as a project (model) of moral education process; as a branch of scientific knowledge; as any educational innovation. Moral education technology is interpreted as a strategy of moral education in Polish educational science. Three strategies of moral education - forming, searching and open - have been described. There have been determined that in Polish and Ukrainian pedagogical sciences the technology of moral education is considered to be a wider concept than the method and methodology. The technology of moral education is interpreted as a branch of scientific knowledge about the process, bases, techniques, methods and means of moral education, as well as conditions of its effectiveness, which ensure educational skills. Criteria of moral education technologies have been determined. The importance of educational diagnostics to the development of moral education technologies has been shown. The causes of the weak development of moral education technologies such as the lack of the accordance to the diagnostics criterion, an intuitive approach to solving moral education problems, complication of their solution have been cleared up. Prospects of using positive ideas in modern educational and moral environment have been revealed.

ABSTRACT Objective: To reflect on the advances and setbacks in the protection of the fundamental right to labor; demonstrate the interaction between theory and practice to meet the need for social transformation; and implementation and protection of fundamental rights in social, labor and business relations. Methodology: By way of the hypothetical deductive method of bibliographic review, with the use of comparative law and constitutional economic analysis of labor law, it will seek to reflect on the advances and setbacks in the protection of the fundamental right to labor. Results:The finding obtained from the investigation allows to conclude that, although thirty years after the Brazilian Constitution of 1988, its effectiveness still meets several barriers, which turns it into a letter of intentions. As a result, it is also possible to see a latent frustration in view of various infra-constitutional regulations that corrupt, deconstruct constitutional prediction, distort the democratic ideal and form a just and egalitarian society. However, as a result, the investigation is hopeful with the constitutional text, since there is a constitutionality and conventionality control to guarantee the effectiveness of the Magna Carta text, in particular labor legislation. Contributions: The contribution of the study lies in the constitutional reading of social relations, especially in the protection of social rights, in particular, labor law. Therefore, even if the infra-constitutional laws differ from the constitutional text, there are measures (control of constitutionality and conventionality) as mechanisms capable of resisting attacks against the constitutional ideal of an egalitarian, just and supportive society. KEYWORDS: Constitution; labor constitution; normative force; fundamental social rights; fundamental right to labor.

Churches have traditionally turned to conflict resolution measures, such as mediation, arbitration, and litigation, rather than conflict transformation approaches, when addressing congregational discord. In so doing, they miss the opportunity for constructive change that conflict presents and set themselves up for cycles of conflict to recur in the future. At the same time they diminish their self-claimed identity as followers of Jesus Christ, whose recorded teaching gives striking priority to peacemaking and reconciliation. Chapter one introduces the context for this thesis. Much work has already been done to explore biblical understandings of conflict, forgiveness and reconciliation, on the one hand, and to apply current conflict resolution practices to congregational settings on the other. However, little has been done to develop a conceptual framework that seeks to integrate biblical understandings with the insights of modern conflict analysis in a practically useful way. Chapter two of this thesis focuses on Jesus' teaching in Matthew 18 and shows why this passage is a key biblical resource for understanding and addressing congregational conflict. Chapter three examines conflict resolution theory and practice and shows why a transformational approach is the most appropriate one for addressing congregational conflict. The fourth chapter brings Jesus' teaching in Matthew 18 into a dialogue with current conflict transformation theory and practice. This conversation integrates theology and practice and clarifies the ways in which Jesus' teaching and transformative approaches to conflict both complement and enrich each other in the quest for lasting answers to the problem of congregational conflict. This thesis concludes by proposing a framework in which the many resources available might be understood and utilised in an integrated way by congregations that seek not only to enhance their capacity to respond to conflict in healthier ways, but also to embody the teachings of Christ in their midst.

Background. A growing body of occupational therapy knowledge and practice focuses not on health but on social transformation, and couples occupational therapy with community development. A tension in both these fields is the disconnect between what practitioners espouse and what they do, limiting the potential of practice. To address this, practitioners are encouraged to engage in praxis—the critical synthesis of theory and practice. Purpose. To explore whether and how Australian occupational therapy-community development practitioners engage in critical praxis. Method. A critical dialogical method was employed to complete multiple in-depth interviews with four occupational therapy-community development practitioners. Interviews were transcribed and analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings. Practitioners appeared capable of praxis but were not consistently employing it. Findings were grouped into themes: disjointed praxis, authentic praxis, supporting praxis, and praxis challenges and solutions. Implications. Occupational therapists need to be supported to develop, use, and maintain skills in critical praxis.

Democracy in the digital networked age of “fake news” and “alternative facts” requires new literacy skills and critical awareness to read, write, and use media and technology to empower civic participation and social transformation. Unfortunately, not many educators have been prepared to teach students how to think critically with and about the media and technology that engulf us. Across the globe there is a growing movement to develop media and information literacy curriculum (UNESCO) and train teachers in media education (e-Media Education Lab), but these attempts are limited and in danger of co-optation by the faster growing, better financed, and less critical education and information technology corporations. It is essential to develop a critical response to the new information communication technologies that are embedded in all aspects of society. The possibilities and limitations are vast for teaching educators to enter K-12 classrooms and teach their students to use various media, critically question all types of texts, challenge problematic representations, and create alternative messages. Through applying a critical media literacy framework that has evolved from cultural studies and critical pedagogy, students at all grade levels can learn to critically analyze the messages and create their own alternative media. The voices of teachers engaging in this work can provide pragmatic insight into the potential and challenges of putting the theory into practice in K-12 public schools.

Charitable nonprofits strive to meet their organization’s goals, address external demands, and secure resources to pursue their missions. Management scholars have recommended that nonprofits promote innovation and innovative practices to maximize profits and gain a competitive advantage. However, the voices of nonprofit practitioners who implement this strategy have not been heard. We used data from interviews and focus groups with 47 practitioners representing development and peace-building nonprofits across six continents to probe what innovation means to them. Five themes emerged: (a) experimentation and social transformation, (b) financial sustainability, (c) collective solutions, (d) new means for achieving missions, and (e) adaptations to local contexts. These findings reveal discrepancies in the meaning of innovation between theory and practice. The findings from this study suggests innovation and innovative practices can have different meanings in different sectors. Perspectives on nonprofit innovation are multifaceted, yet the overarching emphasis is finding transformative ways to attain organizational goal(s) for social change.
