The value of effective management in educational organizations is increasingly recognized by various stakeholders. The purpose of this study is to find out if the Head of Islamic Religious Education in Ketapang City uses an effective leadership pattern in managing his leadership. The findings of this study show that madrasah Aliyah level principals are effective leaders who understand how to be professional leaders. Professionally, this means that the head of Aliyah madrasa has established himself as an education leader and is committed to maintaining high standards at all times. In some cases, the head of Madrasah Aliyah falls into the category of master school leaders who are able to show quality in areas where others can place the principal. as a school leadership authority. The principal is not only good-looking, but also able to show an understanding of the concept of quality. However, no correlation was observed between the principal's leadership and student achievement levels. This indicates that the principal is an education leader with a professional or even a master's degree, but there is no relationship between leadership level and student learning achievement.

The importance of effective management in educational organizations is getting more and more attention from various parties. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the heads of Madrasah Ibtidai'yah in Metro City had implemented effective leadership patterns in leadership management in madrasah. The results of this study indicate that the heads of Islamic elementary schools in Metro City are actually principals who present themselves as effective leaders and understand well how to become professional leaders. The professional meaning here is that the head of the madrasah has shown itself to be an education leader and always maintains quality at all times. In certain circumstances the head of the madrasah has even included the category of master school leaders who are able to show quality where other parties can place the principal as an expert in leading the school. The principal not only looks good, but also is able to show understanding of the meaning of quality. However, there has not been seen any influence between the headmaster's leadership and the level of achievement achieved by students. This means that principals actually include educational leaders with the title of professionals or even masters, but there is no significant influence between the level of leadership and student achievement.

This study aims to determine and describe the influence of principal leadership and teacher performance on student achievement in SMA NegeriLubuk Raja OganKomeringUlu (OKU) District. The method used is a quantitative method. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The results of the study can be concluded that the test results show that the higher the effective leadership of the principal, the higher the student achievement squared the correlation coefficient between the two variables is 0.588. The square of the correlation coefficient between the two variables (r2y2) of 0.5069 can be interpreted that if other variables are not controlled, then 50.69% of the proportion of student achievement variance can be explained by the level of teacher performance. and the multiple correlation coefficient between the two independent variables with the dependent variable Ry.12 of 0.684. From the correlation coefficient, the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.684 means that 68.40% of the proportion of student achievement variants can be explained jointly by the principal's leadership and teacher performance.

The data analysis technique used a simple regression test and multiple regression tests followed by a correlation test. Data analysis results based on the coefficient of determination for each research variable on teacher performance obtained the coefficient of determination of work motivation of 47.8%, academic supervision of 45.5%, and the variable of principal leadership of 44.4%. While the results of the coefficient of determination collectively were 53.8%. This study aims to determine the effect of school committee performance on improving the quality of educational learning and principal leadership on Islamic learning. This study uses quantitative methods because the research data is in the form of numbers and the analysis uses statistics. The variables in this study are the contribution of the school committee's performance, the leadership of the school principal and the improvement of the quality of learning Islamic religious education. The data were processed using SPSS version 21. The results showed that there was a significant influence between the performance of the school committee and the improvement of the learning quality of Islamic religious education by 37.8% and the remaining 62.2% was influenced by other factors outside the research. This data shows that the higher the influence of the school committee's performance, the higher the increase in the quality of learning. In other words, the school committee is an institution that is located in each educational unit, and is an independent body that does not have a hierarchical relationship with government institutions that are in the middle between parents, students, teachers, and the local community. Furthermore, there is the influence of the principal's leadership on improving the quality of Islamic religious education learning by 66.4% and the difference of 33.6% is influenced by other factors outside the research. This data shows that the higher the influence of the principal's leadership, the higher the increase in the quality of learning.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to contribute to the knowledge base on the ways in which assistant principals view their roles, and on the potential challenges involved in a distributed leadership model. Design/methodology/approach – The study employed a narrative capture method, in which assistant principals from two large urban school districts were asked to relate and self-interpret two leadership stories through a web-based narrative capture form. A total of 90 stories were collected from 45 assistant principals. Participants rated their stories based on a set of leadership indicators (including method of decision making and type of teacher interaction present in the story, among others); the results were analyzed statistically. Findings – Overall, participants tended to view their roles in terms of instructionally focussed leadership. However, leadership challenges emerged in several areas of leadership practice, including operational management and teacher professional development (PD). Demographic factors were found to influence leadership perceptions and practices. Research limitations/implications – This study begins to fill the empirical gap on assistant principal leadership roles, practices, and perceptions. Further research, using other methods (e.g. observation), is needed to collect evidence of in situ leadership practices of assistant principals, and how those practices impact and relate to school objectives for teaching and learning. Practical implications – The study sheds light on the leadership development needs of assistant principals and on the importance of ongoing, tailored PD, based on factors including where leaders are in their careers and how they envision their roles. Originality/value – This paper contributes to nascent scholarship regarding assistant principal school leadership.
