Abstract This study aimed at investigating the prevailing organizational climate at Al-Balqa Applied University \ faculty of princess Alia University from the viewpoint of the faculty members. The study population consisted of all faculty members at the faculty of princess Alia University whom count (80) individual. In order to collect the study data, a questionnaire was designed based on previous studies. The study showed that the overall mean for the organizational climate prevailing in Al-Balqa Applied University / Faculty of Princess Alia University from the Viewpoint of the Faculty Members has reached (3.32) and standard deviation (1.00), with a degree of importance of moderate. Results also showed that the field of personal relationships came in the first rank; while the field of affiliation ranked last. The study recommended creating an effective system of incentives in the university, in order to improve the satisfaction of faculty members for their jobs, which contribute to a organizational climate, which facilitates work processes, achieving the objectives of the university. The learning process at the faculty requires not only attending lectures and active participation in the tutorials, but also intensive individual work of a student, which is often presented in the form of a seminar paper. However, the most important individual work of a student is definitely a final paper - a diploma or a master's thesis. In order to present and facilitate the preparation of written works for the students of the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Maribor, we have prepared this handbook for writing and editing texts at the faculty. The professional monograph covers the chapters that lead the student through the whole process of research and writing their paper. From the initial search of the research idea and the basics of scientific writing and research in tourism, to the individual steps of the research process and research methods. The professional monograph also includes a chapter on personal relationships, which in particular addresses the relationship between a student and a mentor in the process of preparing the paper or thesis. The handbook also provides practical advice on language and text designing, as well as instructions for citing references. The professional monograph, thus, combines basic information that both students of tourism and their lecturers will use in their study and work processes, as they will follow the uniform guidelines for writing texts in tourism at the Faculty of Tourism.

The book brings together critical considerations and experiences linked to the work of the author, lecturer in restoration at the Florence University Faculty of Architecture, as supervisor of degree theses on restoration. The reflections concern teaching Restoration as a subject, the conditions within which the knowledge and culture of restoration can ripen within our universities and the most recent problems encountered by both the discipline and restoration projects. In the first part of the publication, these aspects are set out in broad and more precisely conceptual and methodological terms in chapters and themed paragraphs which also act as a guide to drawing up degree theses on restoration, as well as a contributing to the didactics and efficiency of the specific discipline. This is followed by a selection of degree theses on restoration discussed in recent years which show the route from the principles, general problems and intervention criteria for every case study to drawing up a project. They are projects that deal with analysis methods and techniques, surveys, specialist restorations, regeneration, and the relationship between old and new. In short, the projects are what gave the final stage in the university education meaning and substance, also in order to acquire fundamental keys to restoration culture and activities in the world after university.

This paper described that users visit the Tamilnadu Agricultural University library for collecting information from students and faculty members. The researchers have attempted to find out the perceptions and outlook of the university library users with highly response to utilize the facility is available. The study shows that the quality of collection with respect to books, Journals and e-resources. Google is most popular search engine among the user for browsing the net. Reference Service is the most prefer by the staff and students.

Sabe-se que a educação é uma das circunstâncias necessárias para que haja transformação na vida e no ambiente das pessoas e com a educação superior, em expansão e crescimento acelerado no Brasil, vivencia-se um novo aspecto, o crescimento local e regional das cidades. Partindo destes pressupostos, este artigo procurou verifcar qual foi a expansão do Ensino Superior no Estado de Mato Grosso, analisando os dados da Universidade do Estado de Mato Grosso (Unemat) e de que forma a expansão proporcionou o desenvolvimento dos municípios. A pesquisa se caracteriza como uma pesquisa exploratória, de abordagem quantitativa, com a realização de um estudo de caso. Foram analisados dados de dois censos do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografa e Estatística (IBGE): 2000 e 2010 e constatou-se, com os dados coletados, que a Unemat aumentou o número de cursos e o número de vagas no decorrer da década, demonstrando indícios de contribuição no aumento do PIB e do IDHM dos municípios em que a universidade atua.Palavras-chave: Educação. Desenvolvimento Regional.AbstractIt is known that education is one of the conditions necessary for any change in peoples’ life and environment and with higher education in expansion and accelerated growth, Brazil has been experiencing a new aspect , the cities ‘local and regional growth. Based on these assumptions, this article aimed to fnd what the expansion of higher education in the state of Mato Grosso was, analyzing the data of the State University of Mato Grosso (Unemat) and how the expansion enabled the municipalities’ development. The research is characterized as an exploratory research with a quantitative approach, with the completion of a case study. Based upon the returned questionnaires of 415 striking faculty members from the University of Saskatchewan, this study shows that faculty members who have attended the study session, and those who have been active in past union meetings were more likely to get involved in picketing and in picket organizing during the course of the strike. Analysis of their post-strike perceptions shows that the faculty attitudes towards the effectiveness of the strike, strike length, and back-to-work legislation were closely related to the militancy of the faculty during the strike.

Purpose – Sedentary behavior, independent of physical activity, is a risk factor for both morbidity and mortality. Little is known about factors related to sedentary behavior. The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between sedentary behavior and the demographic characteristics, perceived physical activity (PA) environment, and PA behaviors of 72 full-time, university faculty members. Design/methodology/approach – For this cross-sectional study, data were collected online using Survey Monkey®. Findings – Participants spent an average of 473 and 328 minutes/weekend day in sedentary activity. There was a positive correlation between minutes spent in vigorous PA and minutes spent sedentary while watching TV (p=0.047). There was a negative correlation between minutes spent in moderate PA per week and minutes spent sedentary while playing video games (p=0.034). Participants’ perceived PA environment scores were inversely related to their minutes spent in sedentary behavior during a typical weekday (p=0.027) and positively related to their minutes spent sedentary while on their computers (p=0.022). Originality/value – The study is the first to highlight the large proportion of time university faculty members spend in sedentary activities and factors that could be addressed to reduce this time.
