Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are a varied group of cell-derived, microscopic, fluid-filled pouches released from cells into neighboring microenvironments that are quickly gaining recognition as a potentially powerful tool against epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). Recent studies show that not only do EVs play an integral part in the development of cancer through intercellular communication, cell survival, and immune modulation but also may assist with early diagnosis and improved treatments. EOC currently has few effective screening options for early detection of this disease; and, therefore, it is detected at an advanced stage where it is more likely to recur, develop chemoresistance, and ultimately become fatal. Newer research has evaluated EVs as biomarkers for early screening and diagnosis and as novel targets for treatment of EOC. Moreover, EVs are possible targets for novel immunomodulatory therapies to directly target cancer cells or make cancer cells more susceptible to other treatment modalities. Therefore, EVs present an exciting, promising approach which may improve clinical outcome for EOC patients.

The objective of the paper was to evaluate developed screening tools on autism students’ as early detection detect early signs especially on visual for ASD children. The outcomes of early intervention in ASD can be improved but it depends types of the treatment. Method of collecting data was using tool, observation and interview. In design, flowchart and storyboard are produced. While in development stage, learning media and materials are presented with visualization in the form of sound, text, videos and pictures. The results of this study are a positive score and feedback from children with ASD. They are easy to focus in using this tool instead of conventional screening tool. The students really attract to something that related to technology. However, the suggestion of a screening for ASD when concerning from their parents or family. The quality of the instruments and screening procedure are the challenges faced during the process. The advantages of early screening and detection among ASD is very to avoid parents unnecessary worry among parents.

The Postpartum period is characterized by overwhelming emotional, biological, physical, and social changes. It needs significant personal and interpersonal adaptation, especially in primigravida. Pregnant women and their families are colored by the joyful arrival of a new baby in the postpartum period. But also, the mother in the postpartum period can be vulnerable to a range of postpartum psychosis. Postpartum psychosis is one of serious mental disorder that can result in adverse consequences such as suicide. Suicide is rare during the acute episode, but the rate is high later in the mother’s life and first-degree relatives. Psychosis postpartum is frequently under‑diagnosed, it needs early screening and diagnosis to determine the appropriate treatment as a mandatory part of postpartum care.


The key to successful management of any disease is its timely screening and diagnosis. Undetected and uncontrolled diabetes increases the chances of oral diseases, especially periodontitis. Chronic periodontitis and diabetes are two mutually related pathologies and are known to aggravate each other’s pathological effect. Since diabetes acts as an important risk factor for periodontal inflammation, it is essential to screen blood glucose levels to detect diabetes in patients presenting with chronic periodontitis. Periodontal inflammation produces ample gingival bleeding (gingival crevicular blood: GCB) during examination by the periodontal probe, which could be utilized to evaluate blood glucose levels and glycemic control at the dental office. Early screening and diagnosis of diabetes intervenes in the long-term complications of both the diseases and helps in better disease management. The objective of this review was to highlight the reliability and acceptability of different techniques using gingival crevicular blood for evaluation of blood glucose levels along with their advantages and limitations. By this literature review, we analysed over 60 studies published regarding the use of gingival crevicular blood for screening diabetes in periodontitis patients. The data was gathered via Google scholar and Medline using the keywords “Periodontitis, Inflammation, Glycemic control, Diabetes, Gingival crevicular blood” from the years 1993-2019. Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths in the US, and it is expected to be the second leading cause of cancer deaths by 2030. The lack of effective early screening tests and alarming symptoms with early undetectable micro-metastasis at the time of presentation play a vital role in the high death rate from pancreatic cancer. In addition to this, the low mutation burden in pancreatic cancer, low immunological profile, dense tumorigenesis stroma, and decreased tumor sensitivity to cytotoxic drugs contribute to the low survival rates in PDAC patients. Despite breakthroughs in chemotherapeutic and immunotherapeutic drugs, pancreatic cancer remains one of the solid tumors that exhibit meager curative rates. Therefore, researchers must dedicate more effort to understanding the pathology and immunological behavior of PDAC, in addition to properly utilizing more advanced screening modalities and new therapeutic agents. In our review, we focus mainly on the latest updates from clinical guidelines and novel therapies that have been recently investigated or are under investigation for PDAC. We used PubMed as a search tool for finding original research articles addressing the latest developments in diagnosing and treating PDAC. Additionally, we also used the clinical trials published on clinicaltrialsgov as sources for our data.
