Infertility has repercussions as a problem in different areas. Regarding the sphere of the couple, this is a situation that can affect both spouses and operates in marital satisfaction. Therefore, the objective of the present study was to know how the conjugality is affected by the female infertility from the national and international scientific production. It is an integrative review of the scientific literature indexed in the databases/libraries PUBMED, PsycINFO and LILACS published between 2008 and 2018, in the Portuguese, Spanish and English languages, which recovered 34 publications, which were submitted to critical analysis. It is a predominantly international production, with a quantitative approach. The guiding question that led to the present revision was answered, so that it was found that infertility transforms the conjugal relationship, most often negatively, which has no direct influence of the female factor as cause. In contrast, the search for treatment is shown as an aspect of cohesion between the couple, which strengthens itself in pursuit of a common goal. Therefore, it is necessary to develop actions that aim at improving the marital and sexual quality of life of couples who are undergoing diagnosis and treatment for infertility. Palavras-chave : Infertility; Marriage; Spouses.

Medical audit has been defined as the systematic, critical analysis of the quality of medical care, including the procedures used for diagnosis and treatment, the use of resources and the resulting outcome and quality of life for the patient (DOH, 1989). The White Paper Working for Patients states that the Government proposes that every consultant should participate in a form of medical audit agreed between management and the profession locally. It also states that management should be able to initiate an independent professional audit.

It is statistically proven that high labour productivity ensures the competitiveness of the territory, the level and quality of life of the population. Therefore, policy makers are taking measures aimed to improve labour productivity both on national and regional levels. This policy needs scientific justification, so methodological issues are becoming more acute every day. The article presents a critical analysis of international experience in evaluating and analysing labour productivity indicators. The methods are classified and described in the article; the advantages and disadvantages of the methods are identified. In addition, the article provides examples of the empirical application of these methods.

Abstract Several studies have documented the importance of social networks for quality of life (QL) in old age. This article presents a review and critical analysis of the literature on the relationship between the social networks of the elderly and their QL/well-being. A survey using interdisciplinary search engines [Web of Knowledge, Scopus, Scholar Google, Science Direct and Online Knowledge Library (b-on)], followed by an in-depth examination of the 37 documents subsequently identified, selected based on content, the geographical context of the study and its publication date, suggested a number of tendencies. In the first place, networks of friends have a greater impact on the QL/well-being of elderly persons than family networks. Secondly, the positive effect of the existence of more than one type of relationship was revealed (such as simultaneous friendships and family relationships). Finally, literature suggests emotional closeness has a positive impact on QL/well-being. The present study exposed the lack of longitudinal studies into the causality between network characteristics and QL/well-being. It also revealed the lack of research on the relationship between social networks and QL/well-being in elderly persons living alone. One problematic aspect relates to the fact that few studies provide a definition of the QL measures they adopt, or the rationale behind the manner of their operationalization of the concept.

One of the problems of public administration is the need to select the best criteria for assessing the quality of life of the population. The aim of the study is to provide a critical analysis of current approaches to measuring and monitoring the quality of life of the population. The object of the study is the quality of life of the population. The subject of the research is approaches to measuring and monitoring the quality of life of the population. The article provides a comparative characteristic of the prevailing classes of measures used in economics. The advantages and disadvantages of natural, monetary, physical, power, temporal, dimensionless units of quality of life have been analysed. The main foreign and domestic approaches to such monitoring have been considered and the positions of the Russian Federation in foreign ratings of the quality of life have been indicated. Using the methods of content analysis, comparison, systems analysis, expert assessment, etc., the features of contemporary quality of life assessment tools have been highlighted. Global, subnational and national quality of life assessment methods in relation to measurement tools have been compared and a comparative analysis has been presented in a summary graph. The author’s classification of quality of life management approaches has been presented. Historical and economic analysis allows us to distinguish between the monetarist approach, the social justice approach, and the physico-economic approach. Monetary methods of managing the quality of life of the population are based on financial and economic factors and monetary measurement tools, the social justice approach is based on the study of socio-psychological factors and life satisfaction indicators, the physical and economic approach reconciles the needs of the socio-economic system with the capabilities of the natural environment and uses power units of measurement. Foreign research in recent years has been dominated by subjective (socio-psychological) measurement methods, whereas in Russian research objective measurement indicators still play a major role in monitoring quality of life. The article offers recommendations for developing an improved methodology for assessing the quality of life of the population using social time.
