In first mine of Chagannaoer, 2# coal seam, the mainly mined out layer, was 22.00m thickness in average. In order to meet the requirements of production ability, the mine was planned to apply mining technology of fully mechanized caving. Good or bad of top coal’s caving was an important prerequisite which decided the mining technology of top coal caving could be chosen or not. Due to lack of producing mines in this region and no experience to refer, we simulated the mining process of 2# coal seam using numerical software of FLAC3D, and gained evolution laws of stress and displacement of top coal and overlying strata and expansion laws of plastic zone. Through analysis, we got that the top coal damaged seriously and the top coal could be caved smoothly. Relying on the geological conditions of site, we verified the simulated results with method of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. Combined with the research results, we decided that 2# coal seam’s caving was better and was convenient for top coal caving, so it was suitable for caving mining in 2# coal seam in first mine of Chagannaoer.

The reshaping process of pipes is an important method in producing non-circular pipes. Desired profile products are produced by passing round pipe through the rotating rollers. Cave-in defect is one of the common defects in the reshaping process. Roller design issues can decrease this kind of defect. In this paper, a method based on the slab method and the incremental plasticity has been presented to the numerical study of a 2D reshaping process. For investigating the Cave-in defect, the contact model has been developed. The concept of element elongation has been introduced to increase the accuracy of the contact model. Based on the presented method, numerical software has been developed to simulate the 2D reshaping process. Elastic-plastic equations for this subject have been driven based on the incremental method, J yielding criterion, and non-linear combined hardening. The effects of the radius of the roller profile on cave-in defects have been investigated by using the presented software (DARF). A set of experiments has been conducted in a forming station to verify the results. Results show that the presented model has higher accuracy than the Abaqus commercial software in predicting the cave-in defect. Based on the results of the model, the local increase of yielding stress directly affects the cave-in defect. Also, a meaningful relationship between the radius of the roller and the amount of the cave-in has been observed.

In this paper, a novel MEMS based LLC converter is proposed for on chip power supplies. The design is optimized based on commercially available Metal MUMPs process for fabrication. The resonant frequency is optimized at 20MHz and MEMS based variable capacitor is fabricated on the chip to tune the peak resonance frequency of circuit which varies due to the load variations. The Design is simulated in FEM based numerical software COMSOL and Intellisuite. According to analysis the magnetizing inductance of 42nH and leakage inductance of 40nH has been achieved from 16 mm2 rectangular coil transformer. The total capacitance of 1500pF has been achieved from parallel plate capacitors and variation of 3pF has been achieved from variable capacitor.
