A mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) is a complex regulating cell growth, proliferation and autophagy. In the present paper, we show that mTOR complex1 also affects the expression of dihydropyridine receptor (DHPR), a key component of the supramolecular complex responsible for skeletal muscle excitation–contraction (E–C) coupling.
