ABSTRACTDifunctionalized aminophenylenethienylidene-1,3-bisdicyanomethyleneindane (BDMI) derived second order push-pull chromophores and polymers have been synthesized and characterized. Preliminary studies of doped polymeric composite thin films reveal large SHG signals as well as good chemical and thermal stabilities under poling conditions.
