Currently, in developing the most inclined and steep coal deposits in the Central and Northern Kuzbass (Western Siberia, Russia), the deeping longitudinal open pit mining method is used with overburden rock moved to external dumps using transport technology. One of the ways to reduce the rate of land withdrawal while reducing development costs by shortening the distance of overburden movement is to use block lateral mining method with overburden storage in the worked out space. The paper emphasizes that well-known technological solutions consider quarry fields untouched by mining, or in the process of exploitation, so the block mining procedure is using fragmentally along with moving overburden by dump trucks. Internal dumping, as an element of land preservation, has not been generally considered to date. This is a deterrent to the implementation of resource-saving mining technologies, both in design and mining practice.

Ecological problems in the open pit mining of coal deposits are extremely hard, since mining operations are accompanied by disturbed land to a large depth with significant changes in the landscape, hydrometeorological conditions, mixing of rocks and removal of infertile or even harmful rocks with radioactive isotopes to the surface. Disturbed lands are unusable if they are not repaired. All man-made disturbances of the environment caused by open pit mining are divided into landscape (changes in terrain, vegetation and soil cover) and environmental (violation of living conditions within the allotment and adjacent lands: changes in water regime, pollution of the soil, air and water basins) onesOne of the most important areas in the field of environmental protection is the reclamation (restoration) of the earth’s surface. In accordance with the requirements of the protection of the subsoil, enterprises engaged in the development of mineral deposits are obliged at their own expense to bring disturbed lands into a state suitable form for their further use. Reclamation of ought to be carried out during open pit mining operations and must be completed after mining of mineral resources in the terms established by the authorities that provide land for use.

Information about the geological structure of Kuznetsky coal basin (Kuzbass) allows us to note that coal deposits developed by open-cast method are characterized by complicated conditions and have the following features: large length of deposits at significant depths of occurrence; coal series bedding of different thicknesses (from 1 to 40 m); different dip angles (from 3 to 90º); a significant number of dip and direction disturbances; different thickness of unconsolidated quaternary sediments (from 5 to 40 m); a wide range of strength values of rocks. In addition, there is a thickness irregularity and frequent variability of elements of occurrence of coal seams within the boundaries of a quarry field both in length and depth of mining. From the point of view of open-pit mining, such deposits are complex-structured. The factors listed above have a decisive influence on the choice of technical means, the order of development and the possibility of carrying out surface mining operations. Therefore, there is a need for a systematization of mining and geological conditions for the development of coal deposits, the purpose of which is to ensure a process of evaluation of complex-structured coal deposits for the development of coal-bearing zones by various complexes of equipment.

Reducing the costs of the transport component, reaching up to 50% or more of the total cost of the mined coal, is an urgent task that does not require additional confirmation. Since the development of measures to improve the purely technical indicators of motor transport at open-pit mines is beyond the scope of the general study, we will limit ourselves to the search for technological solutions that can have a positive impact on the overall cost of production. This may include, for example, the search for solutions to reduce the duration of the transport cycle and optimization of its components. It is also necessary to study the possible changes in the indicators of the transport technology of open-pit mining when using classic open-pit dump trucks and autonomous heavy platforms (unmanned open-pit haul trucks). The article presents an analysis of existing technical and technological solutions and research on the use of unmanned transport technologies. It is established that the parameters of transport technology will change to some extent with the introduction of unmanned heavy platforms, which will inevitably lead both to the correction of the existing regulatory documentation, and a possible revision of the classical postulates of open-pit mining.

The need in considering changes (including sharp) of the atmospheric pressure during the operation of deep open pits as one of the unfavorable factors is substantiated. It is believed that the atmospheric pressure in a particular region varies slightly-within 30–40 mm Hg per year. But at the present time, when only in Russia there are five open pits with a depth of 500 m and more, it is impossible to ignore changes in the atmospheric pressure in relation to workers moving, for example, by motor transport, from the surface to the bottom of the open pit and back. In this case, it can change by 50 or more mm Hg in half an hour. To solve the related problems, it is required to find out how atmospheric pressure affects the blood pressure of the open pit workers. The experience of the Dead Sea Clinic located in Israel at the Dead Sea at a depth of more than 400 m below the sea level is taken as a basis. Long-term measurements of the blood pressure in patients of the clinic revealed a tendency to decrease it by an average of 10–20 mm Hg. To prevent the adverse effect of a sharp change in the atmospheric pressure on people working in deep open pits, it is required to provide for appropriate measures of a different nature: technological (provide for changes in the characteristics of the open pit roads to ensure smoother descents and ascents of the dump trucks); technical (use of the conveyor and combined transport); organizational (including changes in the work and rest regimes of the working employees); regulatory (amendments to the relevant safety rules and other normative documents). To apply the results obtained in the open pit mining, it is necessary to conduct appropriate research in the operating deep open pits.

With open-pit mining method in Kuzbass is widely used automobile transport, transportation costs up to 70% of the cost of coal production. It is not economically feasible to use asphalt concrete and cement concrete as a material of temporary technological roads, and the use of crushed coal-bearing rocks will make it possible to increase the efficiency of coal mining by open method. Currently, the question of the application of the coal-bearing rocks for building temporary technological roads is poorly studied. The paper proposes a method of determining the thickness of road pavements of technological roads, which can be applied directly by the mining company, their analysis has been carried out, the dependence from the strength factor and the category of blockiness of foundation rocks has been determined.

Erdenet copper-molybdenum deposit is the biggest one in the world and has a significant impact on Mongolian society and economy. Today LIEBHERR-994B hydraulic shovels from Germany, electric shovels including EKG-10 and EKG-15 from Russia operate for the mining works, and dump truck BelAZ - 75130 used for transportation. The causes of shovel downtime are classified as technical, technological, and organizational. During the study period, 41% of the total downtime of the excavator’s park was technical, 45% was technological, and 11% was organizational downtime. For shovels, 7% of technological downtime is due to blasting, and for dump trucks 8.7%. In open-pit mining, blasting is performed on a weekly basis, so the duration of this technological downtime can be considered almost constant. If the time between blasts or period of blasting can be arranged optimally, it will be possible to reduce mining equipment’s downtime due to blasting.

Research aim is to reduce the costs of a mining company and the number of accidents by increasing the efficiency of the use of equipment and eliminating the human factor. Research methodology: analysis of possible areas of application of autonomous mining dump trucks and problems associated with this process. Results. Mining is carried out in difficult mining conditions, which makes the presence of people in the working area of the quarry problematic. Mining companies are looking to cut costs and make jobs safer, especially in developed countries with high labor costs. The use of dump trucks with remote and autonomous control systems in open pits makes it possible to increase the safety and efficiency of open pit mining, reduce the influence of the human factor and increase the productivity of mining machines. While human drivers can do their job well, autonomous trucks can drive the exact route every time without getting bored, tired or resting. The car does not need clean air, good visibility and a lunch break. At the same time, mining autonomous dump trucks can be used in remote-controlled, semi-autonomous and autonomous modes, and the driver in them is replaced by a central controller and a local self-management system. The robot does not get tired and does not make mistakes, it can work 24 hours a day. Eliminating human error and regular training improves safety and increases the productivity of a mining operation. Such companies as BelAZ, Komatsu and Caterpillar are the leaders in the production of autonomous mining dump trucks. Conclusions. The introduction of autonomous transportation allows the mining company to actually reduce its operating costs. While autonomous technologies are still in their infancy, they continue to evolve. Complex solutions will be of great interest - centralized systems that allow working with a fleet of autonomous vehicles and other mining equipment. Therefore, this direction today is the most developing and promising, and the use of autonomous dump trucks in the mining industry is no longer a distant prospect, but a reality of today

Introduction, purpose of the work. Within the framework of the computer-aided system, the technology of a method is formed to control the current trajectories (CT) of unmanned vehicles (UMV) when they move along quarry routes in open-pit mining. The purpose of the presented research is to analyze the application of the wavelet transforms technique to the problem of routing unmanned vehicles when they move along quarry routes. Methodology. The results of modeling one-dimensional signals corresponding to the UMV current trajectories are presented, when the latters deviate to the left / right from the nominal axial trajectory (NAT), as well as their time-frequency distributions in the wavelet medium. The algorithm of the procedure for displaying scalar signals is developed and described to control UMV CT in a complex medium of time-frequency wavelet transforms. This transformation allows you to monitor the movement of UMV in a functionally transparent and informative way and effectively manage the processes of trajectory routing of dump trucks in the quarry. The analysis of research results. The processes of modifying the current trajectories of the UMV movement under the control of the computer-aided system are generated using the methods of wavelet transforms. They are based on algorithms for projecting trajectory signals with a time-dependent frequency (chirp signals) onto a set of wavelet functions within a wavelet thesaurus (wavelet dictionary), wavelet matching pursuit procedures, and representing scalar signals in a specific multidimensional medium of Cohen’s class time-frequency distributions. Simulation results in the form of waveform trajectory (CT-) signals and their three-dimensional Wigner time-frequency maps representing the movement of UMV in a start-stop mode, and the signals of formed continuous deviation trajectories while they deflect to the left and right of NAT. The algorithm for generating a 3D-image of a UMV current trajectory one-dimensional signal is presented. Conclusion. It is concluded that the mathematical technique of wavelet transforms is the most appropriate and effective one for computer-aided monitoring and controlling the dynamics of UMV moving along opencast mine routes.
