The paper deals with the study of the impact of regular air passenger transport on international long-distance regular bus transport in the Slovak Republic. The comparative period is 2017 (2018) with 2008. The issue is also related to the issue of the use of Slovakian airports for regular air transport after the Slovak Republic entered the European Union in 2004. According to the results of the 2008 survey, both modes of transport have significantly affected the economic crisis. The development of low-cost airlines also affected the decrease in the number of issued transport licenses in 2018 compared to 2008 in international regular bus transport.

Nowadays, we live in an accelerated, complex, globalized world, where expectations are high for everyone. The child of today has to train a lot to be successful. The enlargement of the European Union and the expansion of the Schengen zone opened gates to society and economy that were not dreamed before by the countries of Central and Easter Europe. Many businesses were able to develop and grow, and they could achieve the goals they set until the end of the ´90s. The situation has changed since the turn of the millennium. The global markets, the easily accessible products and services, the convenience of the World Wide Web, the growing competition, the multinational companies and foreign chains, the high consumer expectations and the requirements and standards of EU have resulted the end of many businesses. The aim of the paper was to evaluate the impact of European Union support funds on the business of family enterprises in the southern districts of the Slovak Republic. The research material was obtained from primary sources. Data were subject of deeper analysis by statistical methods. Subsequently hypotheses were  formulated  and verified by use quantitative methods. According to results, in a group of businesses not supported by EU programs more than half of the respondents could not develop in the last 3 years, they had negative results. It can be stated that if external support and consultancy are present in family business life, the younger generation will find the family business more dynamic, innovative and attractive and therefore they will continue to run the family business.

The presented article is focused on funding options of regional airports. It describes the provision of state aid to regional airports, and it defines the regional airport, its specifications, and problems. From the view of the present legislation, it evaluates the European Union legislation and its application, it also analyses the state aid provision in civil aviation. In the context of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it describes the situation in air transport and solves the provision of state aid to regional airports in Slovak Republic. Based on acquired knowledge and information, it suggests the changes in the legislation, and it brings a new vision how to improve the situation of regional airports not only in Slovak Republic, but also in the world.

Europe has the strongest and largest tourism in the world. As in times of economic prosperity, the industry can prosper, in the case of a change in the economic environment as a result of a crises, it is hit hard and the tourism industry throughout the European Union is suffering billions of euros in damage. It is the case of all post-communist countries and also in Slovak Republic. The effects of such fluctuations are all the greater for the country´s GDP because they do not have contingency plans in place and solutions are often chaotic or implemented too late. The article assesses the impact of several crises, including the current one associated with COVID-19 and predicts a possible approach to mitigate the consequences of the crisis and at the same time better manage the future crisis.

Horrek Konstituzioa erreformarazi du eta ondorio eta erreforma ugari ekarri ditu sektore publikoan, batik bat antolamendu-ahalmenari eraginez. Erreforma horiek Estatuko lurralde bakoitzari zenbateraino eragiten dion ere baloratzen da. RESUMEN: Este trabajo tiene como objeto abordar la incidencia de la crisis económica en el ordenamiento jurídico analizando los rasgos que han ido surgiendo e incorporándose al ordenamiento jurídico a lo largo de estos años. La reforma de la Constitución como consecuencia de la exigencia de la Unión Europea de incorporar el principio de estabilidad presupuestaria vinculando a todas las Administraciones públicas ha traído importantes consecuencias y numerosas reformas en el sector público, afectando en especial a la potestad de organización. El alcance de esas reformas en los distintos niveles territoriales del Estado es igualmente objeto de valoración. ABSTRACT: This works aims at dealing with the impact of economic crisis in the legal order by analyzing the features that for the last years have arisen and been incorporated onto the legal order. The reform of the Constitution as a consequence of the European Union request of incorporating the principle of budgetary stability binding all public administrations has carried out important consequences and many reforms in the public sector, having a particular effect on the power of organization. The scope of those reforms in the several territorial levels of the State is likewise to be valued.

Although significant attention has been paid to the impact of the recent economic crisis on European economies, less attention has been devoted to the association between the economic crisis and corruption. Utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM), the present study investigated the structural relationship between the economic crisis and perceptions of corruption in the European Union. Standard and multilevel SEM was used to estimate the relationship between the economic crisis and perceptions of corruption utilizing data from the 2011 Eurobarometer. The results confirmed the hypothesized model. Specifically, the study found a moderately strong direct positive relationship between the economic crisis and perceptions of corruption. The results indicated that a one-size-fits-all policy aimed at combating corruption, or perceptions thereof, is likely to yield inconsistent results.

The number of passengers using airport services increases constantly. One of the most important factors driving the Polish air transport market is the development of low-cost carriers, which have currently a large market share, especially it concerns regional airports. Also it should be remembered that, as Poland started to be a member of the European Union, the air traffic has grown rapidly. It resulted in numerous investments in infrastructure, such as the creation of modem passenger terminals, access roads, parking lots, runways, aprons and modern systems navigation. At present, the system of civil airports in Poland consists of 15 units, which are competing with each other to get more passengers. Therefore, the purpose of the presented study was to analyze the preferences and expectations of passengers of the International Airport Kraków in relation to the airport itself as a main origin/ final destination point of travel by air transport and in relation to airlines operating at this airport. This analysis was based on factors, which determine passengers’ choice.

Abstract The crises the European Union has gone through over time have called into question the Union’s legitimacy and efficiency. The 2008-2009 financial crisis, the European debt crisis, the migration crisis and Brexit, have all tested the solidarity between member states. The COVID-19 pandemic is without a doubt the most drastic crisis in the EU’s history, with very severe socioeconomic consequences. The EU leaders were strongly criticized for not reacting quickly and efficiently enough to mitigate the impact of the virus, reduce suffering, and ward off the economic crisis. In this context, the questions that arise are: Is the Union a modern-day Titanic? Will it sink or it will sustain its legitimacy and come out stronger and more united from this unprecedented challenge?
