The analysis of the subject-space developmental environment of the preschool educational organization included several components. Among them, we outline the assessment of the quality of the subject-space developmental environment created in each age group of the kindergarten for the general development of children. The next component is taking into account kindergarteners’ self-assessment of the correspondence of the subject-space developmental environment of the kindergarten groups to the principles of its organization. The results of the assessment of the quality of the subject-spatial developmental environment, created in each age group of the kindergarten for general development, carried out by teachers, are presented. The results of studying the potential of a preschool institution are described. It is noted that teachers highly appreciate the capabilities of the preschool institution in terms of safety, accessibility of the location of objects and manuals for children. Teachers highly appreciate the subject space in terms of stimulating various types of children’s activities, as well as the availability of zones and equipment, play material for play, cognitive, artistic and aesthetic activities.

AIM: The purpose of this study was to evaluate daycare educators’ knowledge on oral health, malocclusions and non-nutritive habits and how to address these issues. Educators were also investigated on whether or not they had received previous instructions on oral health and the quality of such information. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A survey was conducted using a questionnaire, given to daycare educators of Araraquara (SP, Brazil). The structured questionnaire had close-ended questions, and was divided into three sections according to subject matter. RESULTS: Based on the analyzed questionnaires (n=143), most educators showed reasonable knowledge on oral health (72%) and non-nutritive habits (52.4%), although 89.5% of them had received previous instructions on the subject. Chi-square test showed no association between the level of knowledge among educators and the variables: age, type of school and self assessment of knowledge. CONCLUSIONS: These professionals need additional information about oral health in order to address these topics through educational practices, since educators are the best suited professionals to teach and motivate children.

The article presents the results of a study of the developmental potential of the kindergarten space for solving development problems and supporting the independence of older preschool children. The development of children’s independence occurs as a result of the child’s accumulation of experience of independent activity, including the experience of integrating different types of children’s activities. Therefore, the space of a preschool educational organization should provide conditions for children to choose interesting activities, including for its integration, which allows them to obtain the intended result. The space of a preschool educational organization means not only a group room, which includes a bedroom and a dressing room, but also corridors of a preschool educational organization, staircases, walking areas, and specialists’ offices. The framework of a preschool educational organization is considered through the organization of a subject-spatial developmental environment. As a result of the study, it was revealed under what conditions the space of a preschool educational organization acquires developmental potential and contributes to the development of independence of children of senior preschool age: a variety of subject content, accessibility and ease of placement of materials, the possibility of integrating children’s activities and independent transformation of the subject-spatial environment, all types of children’s activities are reinforced in a subject-spatial environment. Keywords: Independence, developing framework, subject-spatial environment, children’s activities, integration of children’s activities, developing the potential of the subject-spatial environment

Objective: To systematically review the literature on the telehealth initiatives in telerehabilitation practices in children and adolescents from zero to 18 years old. Data sources: Randomized and controlled clinical trials published in the past ten years (January 2002 to February 2012) in Medline/PubMed, Medline/BVS, PEDro and Cochrane Library databases. The descriptors "telemedicine", "rehabilitation" and "telehealth" were used in three different languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish). Data synthesis: From the 20 studies found in the literature, nine were included in this review. Most of the studies showed that telerehabilitation is able to produce better results in the treatment when compared to the traditional methods, providing less frequency of symptoms, better disease control, better quality of life and greater adherence to treatment. Conclusions: Telerehabilitation is a viable and effective strategy in the treatment of common diseases in children and adolescents. However, there are few studies on the subject in this age group. Although telehealth is already consolidated worldwide, there are no studies in Brazil that used the telerehabilitation in children and adolescents, which reinforces the need for more research and investments.

This paper focuses on the understanding of service quality in the context of Vietnamese universities. It proposes an approach for measuring the quality of the higher education service provided by universities in Vietnam. Firstly, an exploratory study was conducted. Then, the set of items which were generated became the subject of a questionnaire that was then administered to 675 students of a Vietnamese university to determine the dimensions of higher education service quality in this context. The obtained results permit us to appropriate a measurement scale which is slightly different from the SERVQUAL scale widely known as the standard for measuring service quality. The results also show that tangible elements, responsiveness and assurance seem to be three specific dimensions of the higher education service of Vietnamese universities.

The recent reprinting of Álvaro de Silva’s 1998 edition of a selection of More’s letters prompts the author to examine the subject of Spanish translations of More, and of de Silva’s general commentary on More’s correspondence and on his relationship to other humanists. The author reflects on aspects of More’s personality as exposed in his letters and uses what he finds as a corrective to several biographical misconceptions. He points out the strengths and weaknesses of de Silva’s work and compares it with that of other translators, particularly Elizabeth Rogers, and notes the particularly Spanish quality of de Silva’s edition.

The aspiration to keep the synergy in relations between majorities and minorities repeatedly emerges as the cause of conflicts in social relations. It is also a subject of the interest of the multicultural education, particularly in countries of Eastern Europe, building contacts with the culturally and ethnically diverse groups to a wider scale. Relations in culturally, religiously and ethnic diverse societies, are becoming more and more related to the personal attitudes and a given policy. These issues acquire in the prison circumstances even greater significance, as given moods and personal attitudes of the prison staff create the pragmatic aspects of the professional activities addressed to the sentenced. Additionally, the key role is played by the quality of the penitentiary policy and the legal culture. The article presents the comparative analysis of the research carried out in 2016 amongst the prison staff in Poland. The subject of the research concerned attitudes that influence the decisive processes. The personal relations have been analyzed in the context of the relation with the sentenced Muslims. The aim of the research was not only to reveal the quality of the decisions concerning the sentenced Muslims, but also the sources of such decisions. The latter, in consequence, may shift, as the research results prove, towards synergy or discrimination. The diversification of the discrimination was one of the intriguing aspects, disclosed at various levels that not always explicitly concerned the discrimination of the minority.
