In the title compound, C17H14N2O6, the conformation about the C=C double bond [1.345 (2) Å] isE, with the ketone moiety almost coplanar [C—C—C—C torsion angle = 9.5 (2)°] along with the phenyl ring [C—C—C—C = 5.9 (2)°]. The aromatic rings are almost perpendicular to each other [dihedral angle = 86.66 (7)°]. The 4-nitro moiety is approximately coplanar with the benzene ring to which it is attached [O—N—C—C = 4.2 (2)°], whereas the one in theorthoposition is twisted [O—N—C—C = 138.28 (13)°]. The molecules associateviaC—H...O interactions, involving both O atoms from the 2-nitro group, to form a helical supramolecular chain along [010]. Nitro–nitro N...O interactions [2.8461 (19) Å] connect the chains into layers that stack along [001].

The mean plane of the central ester group [r.m.s. deviation = 0.024 Å] forms dihedral angles of 53.28 (13) and 36.93 (16)°, respectively, with the nitro- and chloro-substituted rings. The nitro group forms a dihedral angle of 19.24 (19)° with the benzene ring to which it is attached. In the crystal, molecules are linked by weak C—H...O hydrogen bonds, formingC(7) chains, which run along [100].

In the title compound, C12H10Cl2N2O2, the seven-membered heterocycle displays a half-chair conformation. The mean plane through the oxopropylidene group makes a dihedral angle of 36.44 (9)° with the fused benzene ring. An intramolecular N—H...O hydrogen bond to close anS(6) loop is noted. An important feature of the molecular packing are N—H...O hydrogen bonds that lead to the formation of helical supramolecular chains along thebaxis.

The title compound, C34H37N, is a pyrene derivative in which the pyrene ring system is linked to an ethylcyclohexane unit which, in turn, carries a [4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]ethyl substituent in theparaposition. The central cyclohexane ring has a chair conformation, with the exocyclic C—C bonds in equatorial orientations. The benzene ring is inclined to the mean plane of the pyrene ring system [maximum deviation = 0.038 (4) Å] by 14.84 (15)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked by C—H...π interactions, forming chains propagating along [010]. The crystal was refined as a non-merohedral twin [domain ratio = 0.9989 (4):0.0011 (4)].

The title compound, C13H16ClNO, contains a methylpiperidine ring in the stable chair conformation. The mean plane of the twisted piperidine ring subtends a dihedral angle of 39.89 (7)° with that of the benzene ring. In the crystal, weak C—H...O interactions link the molecules along the a-axis direction to form infinite molecular chains. H...H interatomic interactions, C—H...O intermolecular interactions and weak dispersive forces stabilize molecular packing and form a supramolecular network, as established by Hirshfeld surface analysis.

The thiopyran ring (C) has a half-chair conformation and its mean plane is inclined to the fused benzene ring by 1.74 (11)°, and by 60.52 (11)° to the mean plane of pyrrolidine ringA. In the outer pyrrolidine ring (B), the C atom opposite the fused C—N bond is disordered [site-occupancy ratio = 0.427 (13):0.573 (13)] and both rings have envelope conformations, with the disordered C atom as the flap. The planes of the phenyl ring and the benzene ring of the thiochromane unit are inclined to one another by 65.52 (14)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked by a pair of C—H...O hydrogen bonds forming inversion dimers.

In the title compound, C10H11NO2S2, the 1,3-dithiane ring has a chair conformation with the 1,4-disposed C atoms being above and below the remaining four atoms. The nitrobenzene substituent occupies an equatorial position and forms a dihedral angle of 88.28 (5)° with the least-squares plane through the 1,3-dithiane ring. The nitro group is twisted out of the plane of the benzene ring to which it is connected, forming a dihedral angle of 10.12 (3)°. In the crystal, molecules aggregate into supramolecular zigzag chains (glide symmetry along thecaxis)vianitro–benzene N—O...π [N—O...Cg(benzene) = 3.4279 (18) Å and angle at O = 93.95 (11)°] interactions. The chains pack with no specific intermolecular interactions between them.
