Simulation methods are widely used in railway planning and operation. However, at the moment there are no applicable solutions in the process simulation for a smooth transition among different infrastructure levels on the basis of a unified structure with consistent algorithm. In this paper, a multi-scale simulation model is designed with consideration of the level of detail of the investigated infrastructure model and the homogeneity of the processes running in the simulation model. A comprehensive and synthesized view of railway planning and operation is therefore obtained. Within the multi-scale simulation model, railway planning and operation processes can be simulated, evaluated and optimized consistently. KEY WORDS: railway planning, simulation, multi-scale, aggregation, discrete scaling, continuous scaling, homogenous process, inhomogeneous process

Although numerical simulation is an important method of researching dynamic frequency process, obvious deviations have been found between numerical simulation and the measured trajectory in many accidents. And the existing simulation model and parameters cannot describe the actual dynamic process of frequency accurately. Research was carried out on the influence of four parameters to the dynamic frequency process, which based on the WSCC system. The four parameters include the inertia constant of generator, generator frequency coefficient, dead band and turbine intermediate superheating coefficient. Northeast China power grid and measured data are used to verify the above research conclusion. Checking the dynamic frequency process simulation model and parameters can improve the accuracy of dynamic frequency process simulation on the base of the measured trajectory and the physical characteristics of the parameters. It can also give efficient foundation for the setting work of UFLS, overcoming the previous conservative operation mode and so on.

To study the maintenance resources deployment optimization, the resource usage characteristic was analyzed and a maintenance process model was constructed considering multi-team sharing test equipment. Applying model, the quantitative analysis was made and the maintenance performance of different resources deployment was provided.

In order to make a rational planning of CAPP-PPC process, the differences of product serial and concurrent CAPP-PPC process were studyed in this paper. Based on Witness, Three kinds of product serial and concurrent CAPP-PPC process simulation model were established for products with different complicated degrees. Simulation results show the time of concurrent process is much shorter than serial process, for complex products, especially obvious.
