Here, we report the complete genome sequence of the cytokinin-producing plant growth-promoting strain Pseudomonas fluorescens G20-18. The complete genome assembly resulted in a single, circular chromosome of 6.48 Mbp and harbors several secondary metabolite biosynthesis gene clusters that are potentially involved in its plant growth-promoting function.

ABSTRACT Here, we present a complete circular genome (5.4 Mb) and a plasmid (104,972 bp) of the plant growth-promoting bacterium Phytobacter diazotrophicus strain UAEU22, isolated from date palm rhizosphere in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Annotation of the genome resulted in 5,229 predicted genes.

We report the complete genome sequence of the plant growth-promoting bacterium Pantoea agglomerans strain UAEU18. Genome assembly of P. agglomerans strain UAEU18 resulted in a single gapless circular genome of 4.04 Mb, three associated plasmids (plasmid 1, 513,383 bp; plasmid 2, 86,850 bp; and plasmid 3, 184,488 bp), and a total of 4,556 gene models.

ABSTRACT Bacillus cereus C1L, a plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium, provides protection against fungal pathogens in monocot plants. To gain new insights into the biocontrol mechanisms used by this rhizobacterium, we determined the complete genome sequence of B. cereus C1L. One chromosome and three plasmids were identified with a total size of ~6.0 Mb.

Bacillus atrophaeusGQJK17 was isolated from the rhizosphere ofLycium barbarumL. in China, which was shown to be a plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium as a new biological agent against pathogenic fungi and gram-positive bacteria. We present its biological characteristics and complete genome sequence, which contains a 4,325,818 bp circular chromosome with 4,181 coding DNA sequences and a G+C content of 43.3%. A genome analysis revealed a total of 8 candidate gene clusters for producing antimicrobial secondary metabolites, including surfactin, bacillaene, fengycin, and bacillibactin. Some other antimicrobial and plant growth-promoting genes were also discovered. Our results provide insights into the genetic and biological basis ofB. atrophaeusstrains as a biocontrol agent for application in agriculture.
