Data for quasi-free photoproduction of π0π0 and π0π+/- pairs from 7 Li have been analyzed in view of the in-medium properties of hadrons. Data have been measured with the CB/TAPS detector setup using the Glasgow photon tagging spectrometer for incident photon energies up to 820 MeV. The double π0 invariant mass distributions show an enhancement with respect to the mixed charged channel at small invariant masses. This enhancement could be consistent with an in-medium modification of the ππ interaction in the I = J = 0 channel, however effects from final state interactions must also be considered.

We have investigated π0π0 and π±π0 photoproduction off complex nuclei. Simulations have been performed by means of a semi-classical BUU transport model including a full coupled-channel treatment of the final state interactions. We show that the target mass dependence of the π0π0 invariant mass spectrum as measured by the TAPS collaboration can be explained without introducing medium effects beyond absorption and quasi-elastic scattering of the final state particles. On the other hand, we find considerable discrepancies with the data in the π±π0 channel, which are not understood.

We present an overview of the SAID group effort to analyze new γn → π-p cross sections vs. the world database to get new multipoles and determine neutron electromagnetic couplings. The differential cross section for the processes γn → π-p was extracted from new measurements at CLAS and MAMI-B accounting for Fermi motion effects in the impulse approximation (IA) as well as NN- and πN-FSI effects beyond the IA. We evaluated results of several pion photoproduction analyses and compared πN PWA results as a constraint for analyses of pion photoproduction data (Watson's theorem).

We discuss the low-mass enhancement effect in the baryon–antibaryon invariant mass in three-body baryonic B decays using final state interactions in the framework of Regge theory. We show that the rescattering between baryonic pair can reproduce the observed mass spectrum.

Rare B± decays to three charged kaons are analysed. The weak decay amplitudes are derived in the QCD factorization approach. The strong final state interactions between pairs of kaons are described using the kaon scalar and vector form factors. The scalar form factors at low K+K- effective mass distributions are constrained by chiral symmetry and are related to the coupled channel meson-meson amplitudes describing all the transitions between three channels consisting of two kaons, two pions and four pions. The vector form factors are fitted to the data on e+e- collisions. The model results are compared with the Belle and BaBar data.

We study the potential of the nextepcollider, namely, LHeC, with two optionss=1.3 TeV ands=1.98 TeV, to search for excited spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 neutrinos. We calculate the single production cross-section of excited spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 neutrinos according to their effective currents describing their interactions between gauge bosons and SM leptons. We choose theν⋆→eWdecay mode of excited neutrinos andW→jjdecay mode ofW-boson for the analysis. We put some kinematical cuts for the final state detectable particles and plot the invariant mass distributions for signal and the corresponding backgrounds. In order to obtain accessible limits for excited neutrino couplings, we show thef-f′andciV-ciAcontour plots for excited spin-1/2 and excited spin-3/2 neutrinos, respectively.

AbstractIn the present work, we investigate the decays of $$B^{0}_{(s)} \rightarrow \phi \pi ^{+}\pi ^{-}$$ B ( s ) 0 → ϕ π + π - with the final state interaction based on the chiral unitary approach. In the final state interaction of the $$\pi ^+\pi ^-$$ π + π - with its coupled channels, we study the effects of the $$\eta \eta $$ η η channel in the two-body interaction for the reproduction of the $$f_{0}(980)$$ f 0 ( 980 ) state, where its contribution to the $$f_{0}(980)$$ f 0 ( 980 ) state can be ignored. Our results for the $$\pi ^+\pi ^-$$ π + π - invariant mass distributions of the decay $$B^{0}_{s} \rightarrow \phi \pi ^{+}\pi ^{-}$$ B s 0 → ϕ π + π - describe the experimental data up to 1 GeV well, with the resonance contributions from the $$f_{0}(980)$$ f 0 ( 980 ) and $$\rho $$ ρ . For the predicted invariant mass distributions of the $$B^{0} \rightarrow \phi \pi ^{+}\pi ^{-}$$ B 0 → ϕ π + π - decay, we find that the contributions from the $$f_{0}(500)$$ f 0 ( 500 ) are significant, but not from the $$f_{0}(980)$$ f 0 ( 980 ) state. With some experimental branching ratios to determine the production vertex factors, we make predictions for the branching ratios of the other decay channels, including the vector mesons, in the $$B^0_{(s)}$$ B ( s ) 0 decays, some of which are consistent with the experimental measurements within the uncertainties.
