The reliablel2–l∞andH∞control for a class of Lipschitz nonlinear discrete-time singular systems with time delay is investigated via dynamic feedback control. The main goal of this paper is to design a generalized nonlinear controller such that, for possible actuator failures, the closed-loop system is regular, casual, and stable with a givenl2–l∞andH∞disturbance attenuation level being satisfied. Some sufficient conditions are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), and the controller design method is also proposed. Finally, a numerical example is included to illustrate the effectiveness of our proposed results.

The robustH∞filtering problem for a class of network-based systems with random sensor delay is investigated. The sensor delay is supposed to be a stochastic variable satisfying Bernoulli binary distribution. Using the Lyapunov function and Wirtinger’s inequality approach, the sufficient conditions are derived to ensure that the filtering error systems are exponentially stable with a prescribedH∞disturbance attenuation level and the filter design method is proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by a numerical example.

This paper investigates the problem of the stability and stabilization of continuous-time Markovian jump singular systems with partial information on transition probabilities. A new stability criterion which is necessary and sufficient is obtained for these systems. Furthermore, sufficient conditions for the state feedback controller design are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

This paper investigates the problem of H∞ filtering for class discrete-time Lipschitz nonlinear singular systems with measurement quantization. Assume that the system measurement output is quantized by a static, memoryless, and logarithmic quantizer before it is transmitted to the filter, while the quantizer errors can be treated as sector-bound uncertainties. The attention of this paper is focused on the design of a nonlinear quantized H∞ filter to mitigate quantization effects and ensure that the filtering error system is admissible (asymptotically stable, regular, and causal), while having a unique solution with a prescribed H∞ noise attenuation level. By introducing some slack variables and using the Lyapunov stability theory, some sufficient conditions for the existence of the nonlinear quantized H∞ filter are expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, a numerical example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed quantized filter design method.

This paper studies the problem of guaranteed cost control for spacecraft evacuation. The relative dynamic model is established based on Clohessy-Wiltshire (C-W) equations. The paper has taken parameter uncertainty, output tracking, disturbance attenuation, and fuel cost into consideration. The paper introduces a new Lyapunov approach, so the controller design problem can be transferred into a convex optimization problem subject to linear matrix inequality (LMI) constraints. By using the controller, the spacecraft evacuation can be completed in a safe extent. Meanwhile, the fuel cost also has an upper bound. Then the paper analyzes the approach of evacuation and discusses possible initial states of the spacecraft for the controller design. An illustrative example is applied to show the effectiveness of the proposed control design method, and different performances caused by different initial states of spacecraft (-V-bar, -R-bar, and +H-bar) are simulated.

The problem of delay-dependent dissipative control for nonlinear neutral delay systems is dealt with. We develop the design method of dissipative static state feedback controller such that the closed-loop system is absolutely stable and strictly-dissipative. Sufficient conditions for the existence of the quadratic dissipative controller are obtained by using linear Matrix Inequality(LMI) approach. Furthermore, a procedure of constructing such a controller from the solution of LMI is given. It is shown that the solvability of a dissipative controller design is implied by the feasibility of LMIs.

A preview controller design method for discrete-time systems based on LMI is proposed. First, we use the difference between a system state and its steady-state value, instead of the usual difference between system states, to transform the tracking problem into a regulator problem. Then, based on the Lyapunov stability theory and linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, the preview controller ensuring asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system for the derived augmented error system is found. And an extended functional observer is designed in this paper which can achieve disturbance attenuation in the estimation process; as a result, the state of the system can be reconstructed rapidly and accurately. The controller gain matrix is obtained by solving an LMI problem. By incorporating the controller obtained into the original system, we obtain the preview controller of the system under consideration. To make sure that the output tracks the reference signal without steady-state error, an integrator is introduced. The numerical simulation example also illustrates the effectiveness of the results in the paper.

Singular systems arise in a great deal of domains of engineering and can be used to solve problems which are more difficult and more extensive than regular systems to solve. Therefore, in this paper, the definition of finite-time robust H∞ control for uncertain linear continuous-time singular systems is presented. The problem we address is to design a robust state feedback controller which can deal with the singular system with time-varying norm-bounded exogenous disturbance, such that the singular system is finite-time robust bounded (FTRB) with disturbance attenuation γ. Sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions to this problem are obtained in terms of linear matrix equalities (LMIs). When these LMIs are feasible, the desired robust controller is given. A detailed solving method is proposed for the restricted linear matrix inequalities. Finally, examples are given to show the validity of the methodology.

T For the networked control system (NCS), the considered system has actuator and sensor failures. In considering the impact of the network delay on system performance, establish a new class of uncertain NCS fault model Then use Lyapunov stability theory, fault-tolerant control theory and the static state feedback, the sufficient conditions for closed-loop NCS possessing robust asymptotically stable against actuator and sensor failure are given . And the robust H-inf fault-tolerant controller design method under the sensor and actuator failures is deduced in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMI). An numerical simulation is provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed conclusion.

In this paper the problem of robust stability and stabilization of a class of uncertain singular Systems with uncertainties in both the derivative and state matrices is studied. By using a parameter dependent Lyapunov function, we derive the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) based sufficient conditions for the stability and stabilization of the system. By solving these LMIs, the robust controller is derived. Finally, the numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed theorems.

This paper investigates event-based switching control for production inventory systems with time-varying delays. The different subsystems are established to describe the fact that the different production rates are adjusted to meet the different customer needs, and the conditions of average dwelling time are used to constrain the switchings. The event-triggered scheme, where the event generates when the relative error between the current review-data and the last transmission review-data exceeds a certain threshold, depicts the transmission of raw materials (or finished products) in practice. Then, the sufficient conditions of exponentially stable with a prescribed disturbance attenuation level [Formula: see text] and controller synthesis are formulated as linear matrix inequalitiess for the production inventory switching systems. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
