Since the stricto sensu graduate programs are predominantly directed to the researcher’s formation, the investigation process revolved around the following guiding question: where and by which processes did teachers of engineering courses of a public university in Bahia built their professional knowledge related to teaching? This qualitative study is grounded in discussions made by authors who discuss University Pedagogy: Masetto (2012), Pimenta (2009), D'Ávila (2013), Soares (2009) and teacher training: Pimenta (2014); Marcelo Garcia (2012); Mizukami et. al. (2010) and Nono (2005). The collection of data was carried out by a socio-professional questionnaire, as well as the application of the teaching case entitled "Ricardo's Dilemma". The analysis of the data was based on the assumptions of the content analysis technique (BARDIN, 1977). The performed analysis allows us to assert that: a) the teaching practice of university professors is based on model teachers that they had during their schooling process in basic and higher education. b) The teaching profession, in higher education, is built daily, based on experience exchange with peers. c) the teaching practice during the master's degree and the participation in training courses have been considered as driving elements in the learning processes of teaching and professional development of the subjects participating in our study. Keywords: University teaching. AbstractThis paper proposes to measure the museums performance with a model that combines the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Balanced Scorecard (BSC) methodologies with a third method, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), which is often used to support decision making. Starting from the two-stage DEA–BSC model of Basso et al. (Omega Int J Manag Sci 81:67–84, 2018), which integrates DEA and BSC, we explore the advantages to consider also the AHP methodology, with the aim to include the judgement of some museums’ experts on the relative importance of the BSC perspectives in the performance evaluation model. A first approach uses directly the AHP priorities derived from the judgements expressed by the museums’ experts interviewed to determine the weights to aggregate the four BSC performance scores into an overall performance indicator. A second approach uses the judgments of the museums’ experts indirectly to introduce proper restrictions on the output weights of the second-stage DEA model. With this approach, we overcome the problem arising from the dispersion of the preferences within the group of experts, that may heavily affects the first approach. Both approaches proposed in this contribution are applied to the case study of the municipal museums of Venice.

This study investigates the social studies curriculum applied in 4th 5th 6th and 7th grades in Turkeyaccording to the principle of balance, which is one of the guiding principles of curriculum development. The research is conducted with a case study of qualitative research methods. The research is designed with a holistic case study design. Research data were collected by the methods of the interview with social studies teachers, observation in 4th 5th 6th and 7th grades and document review of the course objectives in the social studies curriculum and analyzed by content analysis technique. The reliability of the data was calculated with the multi-degree Kappa coefficient based on the agreement between the observers and the opinion agreement for the opinions. According to the results of the study, it was found out the principle of balance was generally neglected, and there is balance with regards to the past and present, different cultures and local culture, close and distant environment, classroom and out-of-class learning while there is no balance in terms of using only written, verbal and visual materials and the other principles. The research consequently suggested recommendations to curriculum development experts and teachers to ensure the principle of balance.

Abstract IR-OBIRCH (Infrared Ray – Optical Beam Induced Resistance Change) is one of the main failure analysis techniques [1] [2] [3] [4]. It is a useful tool to do fault localization on leakage failure cases such as poor Via or contact connection, FEoL or BEoL pattern bridge, and etc. But the real failure sites associated with the above failure mechanisms are not always found at the OBIRCH spot locations. Sometimes the real failure site is far away from the OBIRCH spot and it will result in inconclusive PFA Analysis. Finding the real failure site is what matters the most for fault localization detection. In this paper, we will introduce one case using deep sub-micron process generation which suffers serious high Isb current at wafer donut region. In this case study a BEoL Via poor connection is found far away from the OBIRCH spots. This implies that layout tracing skill and relation investigation among OBIRCH spots are needed for successful failure analysis.

Abstract The application of an individual failure analysis technique rarely provides the failure mechanism. More typically, the results of numerous techniques need to be combined and considered to locate and verify the correct failure mechanism. This paper describes a particular case in which different microscopy techniques (photon emission, laser signal injection, and current imaging) gave clues to the problem, which then needed to be combined with manual probing and a thorough understanding of the circuit to locate the defect. By combining probing of that circuit block with the mapping and emission results, the authors were able to understand the photon emission spots and the laser signal injection microscopy (LSIM) signatures to be effects of the defect. It also helped them narrow down the search for the defect so that LSIM on a small part of the circuit could lead to the actual defect.
