The consequences of the Syrian Civil War that started in March 2011 have been tragic and devastating for the Syrian people. Many of them have fled their country and sought asylum in other parts of the world, especially in Turkey. The unofficial figures suggest that there are close to six million Syrian refugees living in Turkey, yet over two million of them are not registered to work under the temporary protection provided by the Turkish government. As a result of this, it is impossible for many refugees to get a legally paid job. Refugees usually work in informal sectors for extremely low wages. This makes refugees vulnerable to exploitation at work and get employed at jobs that locals are reluctant to do. This chapter highlights the case study of two non-profit companies that have been launched by two young Turkish social entrepreneurs in Turkey to create employment opportunities to provide regular and sustainable income to Syrian refugees that public and private sectors have failed to meet and address.

Trust is a fundamental part of life. It also remains an essential exchange that fosters a relationship between a leader and employees and between other leaders. Without trust, it is nearly impossible for an organization to be successful. Organizational leaders must facilitate an environment based on trust to navigate the organization successfully. Without trust, organizations tend to derail from their vision and future possibilities. The world begins and ends with leadership, as John Maxwell once said, and leadership begins and ends on trust. Trust requires years of building and nurturing. Without trust, it is nearly impossible for organizations to build relationships or work successfully across cultures and borders. Working in the global economy we know we must act with the understanding that trust is an intricate ingredient when working effectively with global organizations, global teams, and international clients.

The article deals with the general approach to understanding the social entrepreneurship essence, the concept of which, unlike entrepreneurship as a whole, its different types in terms of income and employees, is not defined by law; analysis of various information sources to compare approaches to defining the concept of social entrepreneurship; presents socially active entrepreneurs and public figures who have contributed to the social entrepreneurship development in Ukraine. In order to determine the main features of social entrepreneurship, the articlepoints out its differences from a charitable organization and traditional business by such factors as structure, dependence on external and internal financial sources, types of income and directions of profit distribution, and also analyzes the motives of social entrepreneurs. Special attention s paid to the analysis of economic indicators that characterize the social enterprise development effectiveness in the world. In particular, data from the United Kingdom, Israel and Italy were analyzed, which show significant financial prospects for the countries. The authors found that in Ukraine there are already numerous examples of organizations that support social entrepreneurship. The article describes for the selected organizations their activities and the nature of the social entrepreneurship concept. At the same time, five paradoxes that arose in Ukraine in the field of social entrepreneurship were mentioned as following: the main source of income for working in the social sphere entrepreneurs are grants that are not fundamentally in contact with international practice; the carelessness of entrepreneurs who are not concerned about the future of a company created with borrowed funds; absolute lack of support from the state; lack of interest in state supporting; an excess of laws in the country that contradict each other.According to the results of the research, the authors present obstacles to the concept of social entrepreneurship implementation in Ukraine and the steps needed to stimulate development. Taking into account current trends in the world development, the authors outline the global goals of UN sustainable development, which covers social entrepreneurship as a type of economic activity.

However, much of the literature on this subject has been devoted to analyze how social entrepreneurship aids such populations in developing locations. While this chapter does not try to diminish the admirable work carried by social entrepreneurs in developing countries, it points out that an analysis of this discipline in a developed location is overdue. To initiate a conversation, this chapter analyzes how institutional voids can arise in a developed location and the role that social entrepreneurship has in closing such gaps and to include vulnerable populations in the formal banking industry in the United States.

Global software engineering requires the coordination of team participants around the world, mainly in large software projects. How can computer science students learn the organizational and intercultural skills required to guide and participate in global distributed projects? To answer this question, this paper analyzes international virtual team teaching with the use of software engineering. Experiences and lessons learned are presented based on the results of a joint Mongolian-German team project. The obtained results with the Mongolian team encourage the project to include students and researchers from the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico.
