For a kind of networked control systems with short time-delay, establish discrete time-invariant system model. Construct the Lyapunov function based on the Lyapunov asymptotic stability principle. Using Linear Matrix Inequalities method given the sufficient condition of H∞ robust controller design method of closed-loop feedback control systems. Matlab simulation indicates the effectiveness and correctness of the controller design.

Feedback control systems wherein the control loops are closed through a real-time network are called networked control systems. Multi-rate networked control systems mean the sampling rates of notes in networked control systems are not the same. The controllability of multi-rate networked control systems are investigated in this paper for the first time. Based on the mathematic model of multi-rate networked control systems with short time delay, some sufficient or necessary conditions for controllability of multi-rate networked control systems are got using stochastic systems approach.

With the development of network and control technology, networked control systems (NCS) have been widely studied recently, especially in the area of complex industrial systems. The system model and states observer based approach is very important for the fault detection (FD) and diagnosis of NCS. This chapter focuses on robust fault detection methods based on states observer. States observers on NCS with short time-delay and uncertain time-delay are both discussed and designed without changing the structure of the systems. The corresponding theorems are systematically given and proved. The methods of robust fault detection on NCS are proposed and some typical examples are demonstrated to test the presented methods.
