Abstract In this study, implemented artificial nueral network (Ann) in apparel manufacturing organizations to optimize the supply chain converging on right supplier selection by analyzing their performance criteria. Moreover, data collected from three diffrents factory to analyze the efficiney and profit -loss status of that units. Furthermore, analyze the supplier selection criteria of three suppliers in order to select the right supplier at the real time in apparel manufacturing industry . This study shows that it can be saved 20 % of the total cost.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the practice of selecting green suppliers conducted by companies to be environmentally friendly and how these practices have implications for purchasing green products in 5-star hotels in Bali. Research methods: This study is guided by the green supply chain management model and the green selection model. A descriptive research design is used. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The population consists of 63 employees from companies that supply room supplies, food & beverage, chemical, and Spa. Data were analyzed using SPSS and presented using tables, graphs, frequencies, and percentages. Results and discussions: The study revealed that the selection of environmentally friendly suppliers had a positive and significant effect on the implementation of environmentally friendly purchases. The implications of selecting green suppliers create new market opportunities. Hotel cooperation with suppliers is getting closer and mutually committed to operational purchasing activities. Conclusion: The study revealed that the selection of environmentally friendly suppliers had a positive and significant effect on the implementation of environmentally friendly purchases. The indication was that green supplier selection is a major factor that influences the implementation of green purchasing at 5 stars hotel in Bali.

Supplier selection is one of the most important multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems for decision-makers in the competitive market. Today’s organizations are seeking new ways to reduce the negative effects they have on the environment and to achieve a greener system. Currently, the concept of green supplier selection has gained great importance for its ability to incorporate environmental or green criteria into classical supplier selection practices. Therefore, in this study, a multi-phase MCDM model based on the best-worst method (BWM) and the interval type-2 fuzzy technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (IT2F TOPSIS) is proposed. A case study in a plastic injection molding facility in Turkey was carried out to show the applicability of the proposed integrated methodology. The paper offers insights into decision-making, methodology, and managerial implications. Results of the case study are examined and suggestions for future research are provided.

Purpose – This paper aims to focus on development of a green supplier selection model using an index system based on a combination of traditional supplier and environmental supplier selection criteria. Strategies that balance economic and environmental performance are increasingly sought after as enterprises that increasingly focus on the sustainability of their operations. Green supply chain management (GSCM) in particular, enables the integration of environmentally friendly suppliers into the supply chain to be systematised to fit with specific environmental regulations and policies. More persuasively, GSCM allows enterprises to improve profits whilst lowering impacts on the global environment. Design/methodology/approach – A two-phase survey approach was adopted for the research. For the first phase, semi-structured interviews with senior management representatives of the case company – a Chinese-based electronic machinery manufacturer – were used to determine green supplier selection criteria. For the second phase, a two-part questionnaire survey was undertaken, the first part providing the data for an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) analysis of the first-phase criteria and the second with collecting data for an Entropy weight analysis. The resultant AHP and Entropy weights were then combined to form compromised weights – which, using technique for order preference by similarity to the ideal solution (TOPSIS) methodology, were translated into preferential rankings of suppliers. Findings – Senior managers were found to rank traditional criteria more highly than environmental alternatives – the implication being that for the company, concerned, it may take some time before environmental awareness is fully assimilated into GSCM practice. Originality/value – The paper moves us a significant step closer to the application more widely, of innovative AHP-Entropy/TOPSIS methodology to real-world SCM problems.

Legal and public pressures have urged companies and firms to practice good environmental policy. Apart from that, growing environmental consciousness among consumers has also evolved into a potential marketing opportunity that many companies deem valuable. In order to effectively manage a companys environmental policy, linking it closely to purchasing activities can potentially be a helpful way. In this paper, fuzzy axiomatic design (AD) approach is used to address the issue of green supplier selection. A case study is presented to demonstrate the utilization of fuzzy AD principles in analyzing qualitative environmental performances of suppliers with the consideration of all sub-criteria. The proposed approach is able to produce indicative results in terms of information content and is capable of identifying the most eligible supplier among three alternatives. This signifies that the application of fuzzy AD approach in the area of green supplier selection is feasible and is worth further exploration.

Today green supply chain is considered all around the world and supplier selection has been changed regarding these green and carbon emission criteria, so green supplier selection has been a major problem in this area. In this study we use fuzzy time function to assist managers in green supplier selection under uncertainty and ambiguity. This function will consider derivation from the goal during the time and by using it, and we will be able to have the best supplier in every period after having some modification in legal limitations for green supplier selection criteria. We use a fuzzy TOPSIS to have better initial weighting in TODIM, a discrete multicriteria method based on prospect theory in uncertainty (known as TODIM in Portuguese) decision making method. The results indicated that our proposed approach can easily and effectively accommodate criteria with gains and loss functions during time and also by using this method we will have a more reasonable predict of our suppliers ranking in future and that will help us in future investment in these suppliers. Finally it has been shown in car industries in Iran.

In these days, considering the growth of knowledge about environmental protection and green issues in manufacturing, green supplier selection would be the central component in the management of supply chain. This paper intends to apply data envelopment analysis for supplier selection considering environmental merits. The suppliers’ performances with respect to criteria are not pure numbers and considered in linguistic terms according to decision makers’ opinion. To handle the subjectivity of decision makers’ assessments, fuzzy logic has been applied. A case study is done to present the application of the method.
