The article focuses on the study of change of containing heavy metals (zinc, copper, iron, cadmium, lead, arsenic) in the abiotic and biotic components of the Serepok river (Vietman) influenced by wastewater discharge from industrial areas. Heavy metal content was determined in the river water and bottom sediments in the four zones: above and within the boundaries of industrial regions Xoa Phu and Tam Thang and in two water reservoirs situated below the boundaries of those industrial areas. Tilapia Galilean ( Sarotherodon galilaeus ), Hemibagrus ( Hemibagrus ), and sazan ( Cyprinus carpio ) caught in these areas were the hydrobionts under study in which liver, gills, skeleton and muscles accumulation of heavy metals was detected. In the organs of fish caught in the river within industrial region, heavy metals concentration was 3-7 times higher. The greatest concentration of heavy metals was found in the liver and gills of fish caught in the boundaries of industrial regions, the least concentration was in the muscles. In most cases, significant correlation between heavy metal concentration in organs of fishes and in river water, bottom sediments has been revealed.

Sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP), which is widely used as a builder in synthetic detergents, was found as one of the major factors of eutrophication in rivers and lakes. Many countries have used nitrilotriacetate (NTA) in detergents to replace STPP, but it induced another pollution problem. Because NTA is an effective chelating agent, it will dissolve heavy metals from the sediments and affect the fate of metal species in rivers. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the mobilization of heavy metals from sediments by NTA. The experimental results indicated that NTA increases the mobilization of heavy metals as the shaking time increases and reaches an apparent equilibrium concentration after 24–48 hours. Typical results show that using 20mg/l of NTA and shaking time of 6 days, the fraction mobilized is about 8 to 15% for Cu, 1 to 7% for Zn, 7 to 10% for Pb, and 7 to 30% for Cd. Hardness of the water affects the formation of heavy metal-NTA complexes significantly. Biodegradation of the trisodium salt of NTA starts after 6–9 days with degradation time of the metal-NTA complexes decreasing in the order of Cu > Cd > Zn > Pb > Ca.

The research has been conducted to find out rumen metabolite of Balinese cows that being given stewed water of Lannea coromandelica peel as a feed additive. The research used group random design (RAK) with 4 treatments of rations and 3 times repetition. Each repetition used three Balinese cows. The weight of cows being used ranging between 137.5 – 235 kg. Basic rations being given were equal, arranged based on a percentage of dry material (% DM) namely: 50% of arrow grass, 20% of gamal leaves (Gliricidia sepium), 1% of urea and 29% of rice bran. Whereas for treatment was feed additive level. The basic ratio of +0 was feed additive (A). The basic ration of +1000 ml was feed additive (B). The basic ration of +1500 ml was feed additive (C) and a basic ration of +2000 ml was feed additive (D). Variables being observed were: N-NH3, volatile fatty acid total and volatile fatty acid partial (acetic acid, propionate acid and butyrate acid). The result of research showed that the administration of 1000 ml-2000 ml of feed additive of stewed water of Lannea coromandelica peel in basic ration differed markedly (P<0.05) to increase the concentration of N-NH3, volatile fatty acid total and volatile fatty acid partial. The utilization of stewed water of Lannea coromandelica peel as a feed additive in basic ration was increasing rumen metabolite of Balinese cows.

The effectiveness of forest resources depends on the comprehensiveness and rationality of their consumption and processing into finished products. This article discusses the problem of using solid fir wood greenery residues generated during the industrial production of essential oils. Bioconversion is considered to be the most promising use. The objective of this research was to study the chemical composition of bioconversion products of fir wood greenery-based substrates. The РР-3.2 strain of Pleurotus pulmonarius (Fr.) Quél was used as a biodestructor. In the process of bioconversion, the contents of polysaccharides and lignin substances is reduced to 38% and 28%, respectively. Up to 20% of protein accumulates in bioconversion products of fir wood greenery. The amount of nucleic acids is not more than 1.5 g per kg; the contents of heavy metals, such as mercury, cadmium, arsenic, and lead, do not exceed the maximum permissible concentration standards. The substrate weight loss reaches 15%. When fallen leaves and post-extraction poplar bud residues are added to the substrate, the substrate-destroying activity of fungi increases, and the protein content increases by 3%. The digestibility of products as a result of bioconversion increases 1.6–2.8 times depending on the substrate composition. The obtained data support the recommendation of post-fermented substrates based on fir wood greenery and balsam poplar biomass for use as a protein feed additive.
