In this communication the inclined slot loaded rectangular microstrip patch antenna fed by microstripline is presented for modern communication system. The antenna is housed in a volume of 5X3X0.16cm3. The low loss tangent and commercially available modified glass epoxy substrate material is used for the fabrication of the antenna. The design concept is presented. The proposed antenna gives a maximum bandwidth of 20.78% and overall bandwidth of 44.49% with operating range of 8.28 GHz to 12 GHz. The antenna shows broadside and linear radiation characteristics with a peak gain of 7.08 dB. The experimental and simulated results are compared. This antenna may find its applications in X-band range communication systems.

AbstractParametric study and analysis of microstrip patch antenna with multiple slit positions is presented in this research contribution. This work is aimed to design a microstrip patch antenna, which can able resonate dual-band frequencies (i.e. 3.5 GHz and 5.3 GHz) with a trade-off between the geometrical parameters. The proposed antenna designed using the multiple slits on the patch, RT Duroid 5880 as substrate material, and with a defected ground structure. Owing to the geometrical miniaturization this antenna will be capable to work at sophisticated communication systems where size of the communication system is a desired parameter.

A spiral fork shaped hexagonal micro strip patch antenna is designed to operate at different frequencies, which are in ultra-wide band range (3.1-10.6GHz). The newly presented antenna is simulated on a Flame Retardant - 4 (FR4) epoxy material with dielectric constant 4.4and overall size of structure is 28*28mm2 . Coplanar waveguide feeding (CPW) is used in this design for easy simulation. This proposed triband structure resonates at 1.36GHz, 5.74GHz and 8.8GHz. The proposed pentaband antenna resonates at 2.38GHz, 3.64GHz, 6.76GHz, 7.36GHz and 8.98GHz with corresponding impedance bandwidths are 200MHz, 70MHz, 170MHz, 520MHz and 420MHz. The peak gains at their resonant frequencies are 1.77dB, 2.45dB, 3.53dB, 4.54dB and 2.28dB respectively with good radiation characteristics. These antennas are suitable for S - , C - and X - band applications.

This paper proposes a compact sized dual band microstrip patch antenna with microstrip feed line. The patch of antenna is a rectangular shaped patch which has a circular slot in the patch for multiband operations. This antenna covers frequency bands, centered at 2.4GHz, 3.3GHz, which is useful for the C-band and X-band operations. In this paper, a microstrip patch antenna with compact size of 21x17x1.6 mm in rectangular shape. This antenna is designed on FR4 substrate (Dielectric constant=4.4) of thickness h=1.6mm with ground of size 25x10 mm. The proposed structure were simulated on CADFEKO simulation software. This proposed antenna is suitable for multiband wireless communication systems and mobile equipments.
