<em>Basic Health Research Data years 2010-2013 showed an increased prevalence of nutritional status (BMI for Age) with a category of thin 7,6%, while in 2013 increased to 11,2%. Total of 16 provinces have prevalence thin School Age Children above the national prevalence, one of the province are the West Sumatra Province. One of the causes of the incident is school age children's food consumption is not good. This study aims to determine the effect of nutrition counseling to behavior change of breakfast in elementary school students. This type of research with pre experimental study. The research approach using a design one group pre and post test design. The study was conducted in 05 Elementary Schools of South Solok District. The research was conducted from November 2015 to May 2016. The population in this study all students in fourth and fifth grade 05 Elementary School South Solok District. These samples included 58 people with the sampling technique stratified random sampling. Data analysis was performed using mutivariat General Linear Model (GLM) Repeated Measures analysis. The survey results revealed an increase in the average behavior before and after counseling 3 times. Average behavior before the counseling 18 ± 4,2, post test I increased to 25 ± 4,4, post test II increased to 30 ± 2,2 and post test III increased 37 ± 3,5. Based on the analysis of the GLM Repeated Measures according breakfast behavior known that increasing breakfast behavior has occurred in the post test I (p = 0,000), as well as post test II and III (p = 0,000).</em>

Today's technological advances are very rapid and increasingly sophisticated with the creation of gadgets. Gadgets greatly affect the development of elementary school students, especially developments in social interaction. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the old usage of gadgets with the social development of school children. The design of this research is  correlation analysis with the cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all 1-5 grade students at Jabon 2 Mojoanyar Elementary School in Mojokerto Regency with 125 children. The  sampling technique uses total sampling. The sample of this study amounted to 125 children. The  research instrument used a social development questionnaire. Data analysis using crosstab. The  results of this study indicate that most children use gadgets> 2 hours a day, 89 children (71.2%), and most school-age children have sufficient social development, 83 children (66.4%). The results of the crosstab analysis show that the longer children use gadgets, the less social development of children.  Children who use gadgets over time from the time limit specified by some experts make them addicted and less sensitive to the surrounding environment. Children tend to be individual and passive in interacting with their social environment and peers.   Keywords: Gadget, social Development, school-age children

Dental health problems are a very important concern in child development because of the vulnerability of school-age children to dental health problems. It happens because of problems with knowledge about dental health in children. This study aims to determine the increase in dental health knowledge using animated video media for health education in elementary school students in North Mollo. This is a pre-experimental design, with a one group pre-test and post-test design research design. This design does not have a comparison group, but at least a first observation (pre-test) has been made which allows testing of changes that occur after the experiment. The sampling technique used in this study was the purposive sampling technique, and the sample size is 51 students. The results of the analysis using the Wilcoxon statistical test showed that the animated video was effective to increase knowledge about dental health with a significance value (ρ) 0.00 <(α) 0.05. Animated video media can be used as an outreach technique about maintaining dental health in elementary school-aged children.

Hand washing has proven to be the most important step in avoiding disease and preventing the spread of germs to others. School-age children are a critical age group because at that age a child is vulnerable to health problems. As time goes by, comic media can also be used in health education. This study aims to determine differences in knowledge, attitudes, and actions of elementary school students towards CTPS before and after education with comic media. This research is a quantitative research that uses a quasi experimental design with the design of the Nonequivalent Control Group. The population in this study were the fourth and fifth grade students in 216 Tetebassi Elementary School, Talluborongna 110 Elementary School, 117 Rorre Elementary School, 107 Rante Lemo Elementary School, North Makale District, 541 students with 134 sample. Purposive sampling technique for determining samples. Measuring tool for this research is questionnaire. The results of this study found that there were differences in CTPS before and after intervention in the intervention group and the control group with knowledge (p=0.004), attitudes (p=0.043) and actions (p=0.001). In this study there are differences in knowledge of CTPS before and after intervention in the intervention group and the control group in students in Makale Utara Subdistrict, Tana Toraja District. For the next researcher, to conduct an educational media trial before being used on the target of school children.

Hasil survei oleh WHO pada 8 Provinsi di Indonesia tahun 2003 didapatkan angka cidera pada anak usia sekolah sebesar 28,27%. Hasil ini berimplikasi terhadap tingginya angka kematian pada anak usia sekolah di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bimbingan tentang resiko cidera terhadap perilaku pencegahan cidera di SD Bibis Kasihan Bantul Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuasi eksperimental dengan rancangan one group pre test post test design. Subyek penelitian adalah pelajar SD Bibis yang pernah mengalami cidera berjumlah 50 sampel, 25 orang kelompok kontrol dan 25 orang kelompok perlakuan. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner dan cek list observasi. Uji statistik menggunakan SPSS dengan tingkat kemaknaan p < 0,05. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji z test, perilaku pencegahan cidera anak usia sekolah pada kelompok perlakuan terlihat adanya peningkatan prosentase dari hasil pre test dan post test, yaitu 36% perilaku pencegahan cidera yang baik pada pelajar SD Bibis, dengan nilai p = 0,003 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan perilaku pencegahan cidera antara sebelum dan setelah diberikan perlakuan. Pada kelompok kontrol terjadi peningkatan 8% perilaku pencegahan cidera yang baik pada pelajar SD Bibis, dengan nilai p = 0,157 yang berarti tidak terdapat perbedaan perilaku pencegahan cidera antara nilai pre test dan post test pada kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan tentang resiko cidera berpengaruh terhadap perilaku pencegahan cidera anak usia sekolah (p = 0,000). Sehingga perlu dilakukan kerja sama dengan berbagai intansi terkait (dinas kesehatan, dinas pendidikan dan dinas perhubungan) untuk implementasi kebijakan pencegahan cidera pada anak usia sekolah.Kata kunci: guidance, cidera, perilaku, anak usia sekolahABSTRACTThe largest cause of injuries in school age children in developing countries such as Indonesia is an accident on the highway. The results of the WHO survey conducted in 8 Provinces in Indonesia in 2003 found the number injured at school age children for 28,27%. This study aims to determine the effect of giving guidance about the risk of injury prevention behavior in elementary Bibis Kasihan Bantul Yogyakarta. Research method used is quasy experimental design one group pre test post test design. Research subjects were elementary school students who have experienced Bibis injuries with totaling 50 samples, 25 of the control group and intervention group of 25 peoples. Ways of collecting data using questionnaires and observation check list. Statistical tests using SPSS with value level is p < 0,05. The results of this study data analysis using z test testing, injury prevention behaviors of school age children in the intervention group looks to an increase in the percentage of the pre test and post test, where an increase of 36% injury prevention behavior is good at Bibis Elementary School students, with the value p = 0,003, which means there is a difference between injury prevention behavior before and after a given intervention. In the control group an increase of 8% of injury prevention behaviors in both Bibis Elementary School students, with a value of p = 0,157, which means there is no difference in behavior between the value of injury prevention pre test and post test in the control group. The results showed that the guidance about the risk of injury affects behavior in primary injury prevention school age children’s (p = 0,000). So must cooperation with various related institutions (public health, education services and transportation services) to policy implementation order to realize the existence of injury prevention curricula in school age children.Keywords: guidance, injury, behavior, school age children

ABSTRAKWanita muda cenderung memiliki perilaku buruk pada kebersihan selama menstruasi. Ketika reproduksi basah dan basah, maka akan meningkatkan keasaman memfasilitasi pertumbuhan jamur. Kondisi seperti gatal pada vulva, area eksternal biasanya terjadi pada wanita muda di masa menstruasi. Perilaku seseorang dipengaruhi oleh tingkat pendidikan dan pengetahuan. Pengetahuan seseorang tentang sesuatu dapat menyebabkan perubahan perilaku. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas pendidikan kesehatan dengan metode ceramah dalam merawat kebersihan vulva terhadap perilaku kebersihan vulva saat menstruasi pada wanita muda di kelas VII di SMPN 1 Gondang Mojokerto.Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre eksperimental One Group Pre-Post Test Design. Populasi adalah wanita muda di kelas VII di SMPN 1 Gondang Mojokerto. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling dan diperoleh 21 sampel wanita muda. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner. Analisis data dengan membandingkan perilaku rata-rata memperlakukan kebersihan vulva selama menstruasi sebelum dan sesudah kuliah pendidikan kesehatan.Hasil penelitian sebelum pengobatan (pre-test) menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 9,000 sedangkan penelitian setelah perawatan (post test) menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 14,190. Ada perubahan dalam perilaku rata-rata memperlakukan kebersihan vulva selama menstruasi wanita muda sebelum dan sesudah kuliah pendidikan kesehatan di 5.190.Berdasarkan hasil pendidikan kesehatan dengan metode ceramah efektif untuk meningkatkan perawatan perilaku untuk kebersihan vulva selama menstruasi pada wanita muda. Kuliah pendidikan kesehatan tentang kebersihan vulva dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu cara efektif untuk memperbaiki perilaku kebersihan yang buruk selama menstruasi pada wanita muda.Kata kunci: pendidikan kesehatan, perilaku, kebersihan vulva ABSTRACTYoung women tend to have bad behavior on hygiene during menstruation. Conditions such as itching of the vulva, the external area usually occurs during young women in the menstrual period. Person's behavior is influenced by the level of education and knowledge. One's knowledge about something can cause behavioral changes. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effectiveness of health education with the lecture method of treating vulva hygiene on the behavior of vulva hygiene during menstruation in young women in class VII at SMPN 1 Gondang MojokertoType of research is pre experimental One Group Pre-Post Test Design. The population was young women in class VII at SMPN 1 Gondang Mojokerto. Sampling technique used total sampling and obtained 21 samples of young women. Measurement tool used in the study was questionnaire. Analysis of the data by comparing the average behavior of treating vulva hygiene during menstruation before and after the health education lecture.The results of the study before treatment (pre-test) showed a mean value of 9,000 while the study after treatment (post test) showed a mean value of 14,190. There is a change in the average behavior of treating vulva hygiene during menstruation young women before and after the health education lecture at 5,190.Based on the results of health education with the lecture method effectively to improved behavioral care for vulva hygiene during menstruation in young women. Health education lecture about hygiene vulva can be used as one of the effective ways to improve the behavior of poor hygiene during menstruation in young women.Key Words: health education, behaviour, vulva hygiene

Surgery requires a preoperative nursing action which is the initial stage of operative nursing, which starts from the time the patient is admitted into the patient's reception room and ends when the patient is transferred to the operating table for surgery. Psychological and physiological reactions to surgical procedures and anesthetic processes that allow for an anxiety response, especially in pre-school-aged children. Preschoolers who are sick and have to be hospitalized can experience unpleasant experiences and cause anxiety. They tend to refuse treatment and treatment that is being undertaken, causing delays to some actions including surgery. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of cartoon videos on reducing preoperative anxiety levels in pre-school age children. This research method uses quasi-experimental with a pre and post-test approach with out control. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample of 20 children who were divided into 2 groups. This research instrument uses the HARS anxiety questionnaire. Data analysis using paired t-test. The results showed that the decrease in preoperative anxiety levels in pre-school children after being given a cartoon video intervention by 4.20, after being given an animated video intervention by 4.70. The results of the study also obtained p value> 0,000, which means the influence of cartoon videos and animated videos on reducing preoperative anxiety levels in pre-school age children. Suggestions that researchers can give are nurses can provide animation video interventions to minimize preoperative anxiety in pre-school age children.

Background: The balanced  nutrition  paradigm is currently unknown  to  the  general public, especially school-age children. The old paradigm of four healthy five perfects is still taught in schools. Whereas in the new paradigm of balanced nutrition, in addition to the principle of nutrition that must be consumed in a balanced manner, there is another message that must be conveyed, namely physical activity at least 30 minutes every day, regular exercise, drinking 8 glasses of water a day, washing hands before and after eating and always monitor your weight. Purpose: This community service activity aims to improve balanced nutrition knowledge in elementary school age children. Method: The method of community service is through lectures and games for ice breaking so that the atmosphere becomes more fun. Results: Most of the students of SDN Kalisari 1 Surabaya were female (54%), 10 years old (62%), and parents had jobs in the “other” category namely construction workers, janitors and farm workers (38%). As many as 83% of students have breakfast habits and 88% of students often access the internet. The level of student’s knowledge of balanced nutrition is included in the sufficient category (59%). There is a difference in the level of knowledge before and after counseling about the concept of balanced nutrition (α = 0.04). Conclusion: Efforts to increase knowledge of balanced nutrition with counseling and game methods are considered effective because there is a significant increase in the level of knowledge of SDN Kalisari 1 Surabaya students.

The unbalanced eating behavior of school-age children is influenced by the level of nutritional knowledge. The purpose of this research is to analyze the comparison of media education with videos and pop-up books on the knowledge of balanced nutrition guidelines for elementary school students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The total sample used in the study was 90 students who were taken by probability sampling and then divided into two groups, 45 students were given education with video media (P1) and 45 students were educated with pop-up book media (P2). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney test with a significant level of 0.05. The results obtained are that there is a difference in the level of knowledge of the pop-up book group before and after education (p=0.0001) and there is no difference in the level of knowledge of the video group before and after education (p=1.00). Pop-up book media is more effective in increasing students' knowledge level of balanced nutrition compared to video, so pop-up book media can be an alternative media used to provide education to elementary school students.

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya kesempatan siswa untuk berbicara saat pembelajaran bahasa Jepang. Setengah dari sampel menyatakan bahwa selama ini kurang mendapatkan kesempatan berbicara bahasa Jepang dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang. Padahal saat ini siswa dituntut untuk dapat berbicara dan berkomunikasi secara global. Dan kemampuan berbicara adalah implementasi dari materi-materi pelajaran bahasa Jepang yang telah dipelajari. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, peneliti mengujicobakan metode cooperative learning tipe inside-outside circle dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang terhadap siswa XII IPA 2 SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung. Tujuan dari dilaksanakannya pembelajaran dengan metode ini adalah agar siswa mampu untuk berbicara dengan bahasa Jepang secara aktif dan menguji efektivitas dari metode tersebut.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi (pre-test and post-test one group). Teknik pengambilan sampling dengan cara random sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung dan sampelnya adalah 16 orang siswa kelas XII IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan angket.Dari hasil analisa data tes diperoleh nilai t-hitung sebesar 4,205. Dan dengan db 15 pada tahap signifikansi 5% diperoleh t-tabel sebesar 2,13 dan signifikansi 1% diperoleh t-tabel  sebesar 2,95. Karena nilai t-hitung  >  t-tabel , maka Hk diterima.  Hal tersebut berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan berbicara siswa sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya metode cooperative learning tipe inside-outside circle. Hal tersebut diperkuat dengan hasil angket yang menyatakan bahwa lebih dari setengah responden merasakan pengaruh penerapan metode cooperative learning tipe inside-outside circle terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Jepang. Keyword: kemampuan berbicara, metode cooperative learning tipe inside-outside circleAbstractThis research was motivated by the lack of opportunity to speak Japanese during the class. 50% of the sample stated that they are have a small opportunity to speak Japanese during learning Japanese. Yet, in this time students are required to be able to talk and communicate globally. And the ability to speak is the implementation of Japanese language lessons. To overcome these problems, researcher tested the method of cooperative learning type of inside-outside circle in learning the Japanese language to students XII IPA 2 SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung. The purpose of the implementation of learning with this method is the students are able to speak japanese actively and to test the effectiveness of the method. This research uses a quasi experimental (pre-test and post-test one group). Sampling technique by means of random sampling. The population in this study were all high school students of SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung and the sample was 16 students of class XII IPA 2 as the experimental class. Instruments for this research is a test and questionnaire. From the analysis of obtained data, value t-count of 4,205. And with 15 db at this stage of the 5% significance was obtained t-table by 2.13 and 1% significance obtained t-table by 2.95. Because the value of t count> t-table, then Hk accepted. This means that there are significant differences in their speaking ability before and after the implementation of cooperative learning type of inside-outside circle. This is reinforced by the results of a questionnaire which states that more than half of the respondents feel the effect of the application of cooperative learning type of inside-outside circle of the ability to speak Japanese. Keyword: speaking ability, cooperative learning method type of inside-outside circle

Cases of sexual violence and abuse in Indonesia are increasingly common. Not only in adults, children are now victims. Some cases of victims or perpetrators involve underage children. Many parents feel taboo to talk about early childhood education with children. This causes children not to get information that is supposed to protect themselves from sexual violence. Need to do various efforts to provide education to children about knowledge to protect themselves from sexual violence. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sexual violence education on children on efforts to protect from sexual violence. This study uses pre-experimental design with approach pretest-posttest design. The number of samples is 195 children taken by purposive sampling technique. Analyze data using  different Wilcoxon Signed Rank test with 95% significance level, p ≤ (0.05). The results showed that the average age of the respondents was 10.2 years and most of the men were 52.8%. Before giving education, the average score of respondents' knowledge about efforts to protect themselves from sexual violence was 6.7 and increased to 7.79 after giving education. There is a difference in knowledge about efforts to protect themselves from sexual violence before and after being given education (p value ≤ 0.001; <α = 0.05). It is recommended that the provision of information about sexual violence be given regularly by teachers and parents.Keywords: Education - Elementary School Age Knowledge - Efforts to Protect Themselves from Sexual Violence
