Mathematical proof is an important aspect in mathematics, especially in analysis. An error in the mathematical proof construction process often occurs. This study aims to analyze the students’ errors in producing proof. Each of the categories of students’ Adversity Quotient (AQ) is identified related to the type of students’ error. The type of students’ errors used according to Newmann’s Error Analysis. This study used a qualitative approach. This study was conducted to 25 students who were taking real analysis course. Documentation, test, and interview were used to gather the data. Analyzing the students’ test result and then interviewing them for each AQ category were done for the analysis process. The results show that there are 48% climber students, 52% camper students, and no one is identified as a quitter student. Climber students tend to make some proving error such as transformation error, process skill error, and encoding error while camper students make the comprehension error, transformation error, process skill error, and encoding error when they are producing proof.

The paper presents the ideology of a qualitative approach to decision making ‐ verbal decision analysis. The authors have analyzed existing quantitative approaches and pointed out their main disadvantages. They formulated the requirements for decision‐making methods taking into account these disadvantages: psychological correctness of a dialog with decision maker (DM), strict mathematical proof of the methods and checking of DM information for consistency. The authors present the results of research on psychological correctness of operations of preference elicitation from DM. Several existing verbal decision analysis methods are briefly mentioned.

In the moving process of four-legged walking robot, the robot uses the random 3 foots to support its body, and the rest 1 foot to swing. This process is carried on alternately to complete the robot moved forward. If the robot's foothold position, the independent drive joint variables and the length of leg linkage are inaccurate, the robot's swing leg would deviate from the desired position, which led to the robot will deviate from the target track. The robot's swing leg trajectory is analyzed in this paper. On this basis, the swing leg trajectory accuracy is discussed under the condition that the errors of the robot's foothold position, drive joint variables and leg's linkage length are given. The analysis process is illustrated by an example. The error analysis has significant meaning for four-legged walking robot control .
