A pots experiment was conducted at the Department of Biology/College of Education for Girls/University of Anbar during Autumn season of 2018-2019 to study the effect of the salinity irrigation water and spray by humic acid in some of morphological, physiological, growth and yield traits of wheat cv. IPa. The experiment was randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. The first factor was assigned for irrigation by saline water at four level (S0, S1, S2 and S3), while the second factor was the foliar spraying of humic acid in three level (0.0, 1.0 and 1.5 g l-1). The results showed that there was significant reduction in plant height, vegetative dry weight, biological yield and chlorophyll leaves content when the plants were irrigated by saline water approached to 41.09 cm, 0.747 g, 0.849 g plant-1 and 38.67 SPAD, respectively at salinity level of 8.3 ds m-1 compared with the plants which irrigated by fresh water. The total carbohydrates were significantly decreased at the treatment of 8.3 ds m-1 reached 18.71 mg g-1. Spray levels humic acid achieved a significant increase in plant height, dry weight of the vegetative part, biological yield and chlorophyll leaves content sprayed at 1.0 and 1.5 g l-1 compared to no sprayed. Nitrogen concentration was significantly increased, while both phosphorus and potassium were decreased in the vegetative parts of wheat as the salinity of irrigation water increased. However, the increase of humic acid levels led to significant increasing in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium concentration.

Abstract. This research aims to determine the effect of broiler manure doses and BiotamaxTM biofertilizers on growth and yield of Chinese cabbage in the Selat Village, Buleleng Regency, Bali from November - December 2018. The randomized block design (RBD) factorial, consisting of two factors was the experimental design used in this research. The first factor is the dose of broiler manure (A), composed of 3 levels, namely control (A0), a dose of 15 tons.ha-1 (A1), and 30 tons.ha-1 (A2). The second factor is the application frequency of biological fertilizers with four levels, namely control (B0) which was administered concurrently for seven days before planting at a dose of 0.09 g.plots-1. B1 with an administrative frequency of 7 and 14 days before and after planting (HST), respectively, with a dose of 0.045 g.plots-1. (B2) with a 3times administrative frequency of 7, 14, and 28 days before, after birth and after each dose of 0.03 g.plots-1 (B3). The results of the study, the frequency of giving BiotaMaxTM biological fertilizer at the same time, provided the heaviest oven-dry weight per crop, which was 9.39 g. The treatment of broiler chicken manure dose of 30 tons.ha-1 (A2), resulted in the best oven-dry weight canopy per plant at 9.26 g. The relationship between the dose of broiler chicken manure with canopy oven-dry weight per plant showed a linear relationship, namely y = 0.0608x + 7.2483 (R2 = 32.53). The best economic weight per hectare is obtained in the provision of 30 tons.ha-1 (A2) broiler manure, weighing 30.10 tons.ha-1. The relationship between the dose of broiler manure and economic weight per hectare shows a linear relationship, y = 0.3247x + 21.699 R² = 59.88%. The frequency of giving BiotaMaxTM biofertilizers at the same time is 7 days before planting at a dose of 0.09 g.plots-1 (B1) gave the heaviest economic weight per hectare, at 28.21 tons.ha-1. The combination of broiler chicken manure dose and the frequency of BiotaMaxTM biofertilizer gave no significant effect (p≥0.05) on the growth and yield of Chinese cabbage. Keywords: broiler manure, biofertilizer frequency, petsaiAbstrak. Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of drought stress and mycorrhizal dose on the growth and yield of maize (Zea mays L.). The research was done in the BPTP Banten Screen House and the Soil and Climate Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University starts from November 2020 until February 2021. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) consisting of two factors. First factor was drought stress with four levels, namely k1 (100% FC), k2 (80% FC), k3 (60% FC), and k4 (40% FC) and second was the mycorrhizal dose with 3 levels, called m0 (0 g/pot), m1 (10 g/pot), and m2 (20 g/pot). There were 12 treatment combinations that were repeated 3 times in order to obtain 36 experimental units. The results showed that the drought stress treatment had a significant effect on maize plant height at 7 WAP of 174.22 cm, plant dry weight of 86.67 g, root dry weight of 21.67 g, and seed dry weight of 37 g. Drought stress of 40% FC can reduce the growth and yield of maize. The mycorrhizal dose treatment had no significant effect on the growth and yield of maize. The application of mycorrhizal dose of 20 g/pot tends to increase the growth and yield of maize. There was no interaction between drought stress treatment and mycorrhizal dose on growth and yield of maize.

Palavras Chave: coeficiente de cultura, componentes de produção, irrigação suplementar, solo arenoso, Helianthus annuus L.     SUNFLOWER GROWTH AND YIELD UNDER IRRIGAGATION LEVELS IN NO-TILLAGE SYSTEM IN ARENITO CAIUÁ REGION - PARANÁ STATE.     2 ABSTRACT   The sunflower crop adapts various soil and climate conditions, however, the water requirements and the crop coefficients in different growth stages are not yet well defined. In Arenito Caiuá, Northwest of Parana State, because the soil is extremely sandy with low water retention capacity, there is a need for annual crops cultivation under no-tillage technique. In order to establish a proper supplemental irrigation management for sunflower cultivation in this condition, crop coefficient values were proposed in five phases of development. A randomized block design was used with three replications and five treatments, one without  and four irrigation depths based in the adoption of different crop coefficients. At the end of each phasethe following yield components were measured: dry matter, capitulum and stem diameter, and plant height. Most components responded in a linearly, independent of the phase analyzed. There wasn’t sunflower low yield without irrigation equal to 2271 kg ha-1, however the highest yield 3063 kg ha-1 was obtained by irrigation which used crop coefficients equal to 0.4, 0.8, 1.2, 0.8 and 0.4 in phases 1,2,3,4 and 5, respectively.   Key-words: crop coefficients, yield components, irrigation, soil, Helianthus annuus L.

AbstractDrought tolerance of two sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) genotypes, cultivated cultivar 1114 and interspecific line H. annuus × H. mollis, was studied under laboratory conditions using PEG-6000. Four levels of osmotic stress (−0.4, −0.6, −0.8 and −1.0 MPa) were created and performances were monitored against a control. Physiological and biochemical stress determining parameters such as malondialdechyde (MDA), proline content, and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) were compared between seedlings of both genotypes. The results indicated that both genotypes have similar responses at four osmotic potentials for all traits studied. All seedling growth parameters such as germination percentage, root length, shoot length, root and shoot dry weight decreased with increasing osmotic stress. MDA, proline, and H2O2 were found to be increased at different osmotic gradients in comparison to control. Cultivar 1114 was less affected than the interspecific line under these stress conditions. The data observed in the experiments revealed that perennial wild H. mollis can hardly be considered to be an excellent candidate of drought tolerance genes.

One way to improve maize (Zea mays L.) production is through land extension using Andisol land. However, andisol soil has phosphate (P) fixation problem due to the high amorphous material. Hence, the use of organic material in the form of humic acid that has greater affinity to amorphous minerals is recommended to solve the problem. This research was conducted in February-May 2017 at Tri Dharma field of Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University. The Andisol land used has a low available P category from Datar, West Java and Wonosobo, Central Java. This research was arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD), consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was maize cultivar (Bisi-2 and Pioneer-35). The second factor was the doses of humic acid, consisting of control treatment (without fertilizer and humic acid), NPK without humic acid, and NPK + humic acid at 5%, 10%, and 15%. The percentage of humic acid given, based on the amount of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer, was 350 kg ha-1. Fertilization was applied 3 times 100 kg ha-1 on 1 WAP, 150 kg ha-1 at 3 WAP and 100 kg ha-1 at 7 WAP. The results is, humic acid treatment had the same effect with NPK fertilization treatment only and control on P available Andisol soil. Humic acid, also has the same effect with NPK fertilizer treatment in increasing the yield component of 100 seeds weight, dry weight of seeds, harvest index, length of cobs and productivity.
