Now, the quality of higher speed and larger capacity are required to the real-time storage system. This paper designs a high-speed and large-capacity storage system which uses FPGA as the master of SOPC system controlling NAND Flash chips. This system puts forward an advanced storage structure which has several NAND Flashes with multi-buses, forming a parallel pipeline design. By using the key technologies of bad block management and the ECC algorithm, which greatly avoids the influence of the invalid block to the storage system and reduces the probability of error data as well. It can not only improve the storage bandwidth and capacity substantially, but also ensure the reliability of the storage system effectively. As a result, the storage system achieves the capacity of 1.5TB and the bandwidth of 1280MBps. Also, this system uses high-speed exchange interface to link to the external network, which achieve the real-time transmission and control of data, and make the storage system standard, universal, and scalable.

This paper was aimed at finding out the solution to the problem of insufficient dimensional accuracy caused by non-linear shrinkage deformation during injection molding of small module plastic gears. A practical numerical approach was proposed to characterize the non-linear shrinkage and optimize the dimensional deviation of the small module plastic gears. Specifically, Moldflow analysis was applied to visually simulate the shrinkage process of small module plastic gears during injection molding. A 3D shrinkage gear model was obtained and exported to compare with the designed gear model. After analyzing the non-linear shrinkage characteristics, the dimensional deviation of the addendum circle diameter and root circle diameter was investigated by orthogonal experiments. In the end, a high-speed cooling concept for the mold plate and the gear cavity was proposed to optimize the dimensional deviation. It was confirmed that the cooling rate is the most influential factor on the non-linear shrinkage of the injection-molded small module plastic gears. The dimensional deviation of the addendum circle diameter and the root circle diameter can be reduced by 22.79% and 22.99% with the proposed high-speed cooling concept, respectively.

The dynamic constitutive behaviors of concrete-like materials are of vital importance for structure designing under impact loading conditions. This study proposes a new method to evaluate the constitutive behaviors of ordinary concrete at high strain rates. The proposed method combines the Lagrangian-inverse analysis method with optical techniques (ultra-high-speed camera and digital image correlation techniques). The proposed method is validated against finite-element simulation. Spalling tests were conducted on concretes where optical techniques were employed to obtain the high-frequency spatial and temporal displacement data. We then obtained stress–strain curves of concrete by applying the proposed method on the results of spalling tests. The results show non-linear constitutive behaviors in these stress–strain curves. These non-linear constitutive behaviors can be possibly explained by local heterogeneity of concrete. The proposed method provides an alternative mean to access the dynamic constitutive behaviors which can help future structure designing of concrete-like materials.

This article focuses on research and implementation of a kind of solid storage system that is based on NAND flash which can store the data with high speed and huge capacity. A design with quad 1.25Gsps ADC and flash storage array with 1TB is demonstrated in the paper. The design is applied widely in many fields such as radar, communication and speech recognition. The detail of hardware development is also introduced in the thesis. In addition, a method is discussed to approve the reading and writing bandwidth by parallel operations on multiple pieces of flash. By using the method, the data bandwidth is arrived 6GB/S.

This paper describes a new Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer with the capability to measure diffuse reflectance (DR) from 5000 to 500 cm−1 (2 to 20 µm) in addition to the normal transmittance measurements. The instrument has a true simultaneous double beam measurement mode and a high speed single beam mode. The system also takes advantage of many data manipulation and display features due to the built-in computer and 2.5 million word storage system. One of the objectives of this work was to produce a practical instrument which includes the DR capability; another was to introduce the qualitative and quantitative measurements of DR in the infrared to the analytical community. DR has been commonly available in the visible and near ir spectrum, but until this new instrument, has not been available in the ir. A brief survey of the background and history of DR and emittance measurements in the ir is given. The design details and operation of the instrument are generally examined. Brief examples are provided for a few transmittance, trace analysis, and microsampling applications, and a variety of DR results are shown. The addition of diffuse reflectance as a tool in the infrared opens new avenues for investigation and application in many fields.

Based on the theory of ultrasonic testing, an online data-acquisition and storage system is designed. The design scheme of hardware and software of the system is introduced in this paper, in which the embedded processor DSP and FPGA is used as its control core and the interface of PCI bus and DSP is designed. Thus a high speed and large-capacity ultrasonic signal can be processed, furthermore the pipelines defects can be analyze and evaluate.
