Four magnetic fractions of small classes concentrates (0,05—0,125 mm) of a representative technological sample have been separated from titanium-bearing medium thickness sandstones of Malorucheysky unit (Pizhemsky titanium deposit). They have been studied: general sample (T-2) and three partial (T-l a, b, c) ones obtained by gravitational separation in heavy liquid in three density intervals (3,3—3,5; 3,5—3,7; 3,7—3,9 g/cm3). It has been demonstrated that the magnetic fraction of the small productive classes consists mainly of pseudorutil, ilmenite, siderite (ironstone) and garnet. The phase composition of iron-titanium phases has been reliably established by the means of normative recalculation of chemical analysis data, as well as methods of Mossbauer spectroscopy, infrared (IR) absorption and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). The ratio of the pseudorutile, ilmenite, siderite and associated rare earth minerals monazite-kularite and zircon accumulated in the respective gravity classes, has been computed . It has been recommended to use the methods of recovery of the concentrates (extraction of zircon and monazite) before the operation of desilication, as well as their purification from siderite.

Glutaraldehyde is a widely used reagent for hemoglobin cross-linking in blood substitutes research. However, hemoglobin polymerization by glutaraldehyde involves modifications of its functional properties, such as oxygen affinity, redox potentials, and autoxidation kinetics. The aim of this article is to investigate, by electron paramagnetic resonance and Mossbauer spectroscopies, the changes that occur in the iron environment after glutaraldehyde cross-linking. Spectrometric studies were performed with native hemoglobin and hemoglobin cross-linked as soluble and insoluble polymers. Spectrometry data comparison with glutaraldehyde-modified hemoglobin functional properties allows to interpret from a structural point of view that glutaraldehyde action occurs as a decrease of the O—N(F8His) distance, an increase of the Fe—N(F8His) bond length, and the decrease of the distal-side steric hindrance.Key words: hemoglobin, glutaraldehyde, Mossbauer spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance, blood substitute.

AbstractBoth the cadmium vacancy (Vcd) and the tellurium vacancy (VTe) in CdTe are identified by means of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). The Vcd is a double acceptor and the EPR spectrum is observed in its single negative charge state. The symmetry is found to be trigonal, which can be explained in a model in which the hole occupies a dangling bond t2 orbital and the orbital degeneracy is removed by a static Jahn-Teller distortion. The hyperfine interaction shows that the hole is localised on one of the four Te neighbours. The EPR spectrum of VTe+ reveals cubic (unperturbed) symmetry and the hyperfine structure shows that the unpaired electron is equally spread over the four Cd neighboursPhoto-EPR measurements locate the 0/+ state of VTe at Ev + 0.2 eV and the 2-/- acceptor level of VCd to be situated less than 0.47 eV above the valence band.

AbstractAcellular (true) slime moulds (Myxomycetes) are capable of a transition to the stage of sclerotium — a dormant form of plasmodium produced under unfavourable environmental conditions. In this study, sclerotia of Fuligo septica were analyzed by means of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. The moulds were cultivated in vitro on filter paper, fed with oat flour, and kept until the plasmodia began to produce sclerotia. The obtained sclerotia differed in colour from yellow through orange to dark-brown. The EPR spectra revealed a free radical, melanin-like signal correlated with the depth of the colour; it was strongest in the dark sclerotia. Sclerotization only took place when the plasmodia were starved and very slowly dried. Only the yellow sclerotia were able to regenerate into viable plasmodia. This suggests that myxomycete cytoplasm dehydration is an active process regulated metabolically. Plasmodial sclerotization may therefore serve as a convenient model system to study the regulation of cytoplasmatic water balance, and sclerotia as a convenient material for EPR measurements, combining the quality of plasmodia with the technical simplicity of the measurements characteristic of dry spores. Darkening of the sclerotia is most probably a pathological phenomenon connected with the impairment of water balance during sclerotization.

Abstract. Indonesian Government has increased the quality of their education. One of their efforts is by providing School Operational Funding. However, there is a lack of supervision in managing the funding. BPK, BPKP, Inspectorate of North Sulawesi Province and the city of Kotamobagu had not yet conducted any audit on the fundings from 2012 to 2016. BPK has only monitored or controlled the funding whether they are genuinely transferred from central government to School Education Unit and to each school in City of Kotamobagu. From the supervising point of view, nor has School Committee implemented their supervising functions sufficiently. Therefore, this research is intended to investigate such phenomena. This is a qualitative exploratory research. Data were collected by in-depth interviews and document analysis. Data were validated by triangulations: researchers, theory and sources of data. Findings indicate that there are some constraints in managing BOS: supervision, human resources, communication and bureaucracy structure. Those four factors are crucial in relation to manage the funding complying with regulations.       Keywords:  School Operational Funding Management, Supervision, Human Resources, Communication and Bureaucracy StructureAbstrak.

The formation of mixed ligand complex of Mn(II) with catechol (L1) and 2-aminopyridine (L2) was determined by elemental analyses (C, H and N), molar conductance measurement, thermogravimetric analysis, infrared, electronic and electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopies. The elemental analysis data show the formation of 1:1:1 [M: L1: L2] complex. The molar conductance measurement shows a non-electrolyte nature. The thermogravimetric analysis data of the complex display the existence of hydrated and coordinated water molecules. The infrared spectral data exhibit the coordination sites that are through -OH,-C=N and –NH2groups. The electronic spectral data display the electronic transitions of the ligands and suggest an octahedral structure for the complex. The electron paramagnetic resonance spectrum of the complex reveals the existence of paramagnetic phenomena and supports its geometrical structure. Seed germination and root length of grass were also assayed under the effect of MnCl2.4H2O, catechol, 2-aminopyridine and its complex. Mn(II) salt was the most effective on germination than its complex which possess the high test effect on root length, while the ligands are the least active of all.

The Schiff base complexes derived from Salicylaldehyde and o- pheneylenediamine have been prepared and characterized using several physical techniques, in terms; elemental analysis, molar conductance measurements, thermogravimetric analysis, magnetic moment measurements, infrared, electronic and electron paramagnetic resonance spectra. The elemental analysis data exhibit the formation of 1:1[M: L] complexes. The molar conductance values reveal a non- electrolytic nature. The thermogravimetric analysis data of Cr(VI) complex show the presence of water molecules. The obtained magnetic moment values exhibit the existence of three unpaired electrons in the Cr(III) complex and a diamagnetic phenomenon for the other three complexes. The infrared spectral data display the coordination behavior of the Schiff base towards Cr(VI), Cr(III), Pb(II)) and TiO(IV) ions. The electronic absorption spectra of the Schiff base and its complexes show π→π* (phenyl ring), n→π* (HC=N) and the expected geometrical structure for the prepared complexes. The electron paramagnetic resonance spectral data satisfy the presence of a paramagnetic phenomenon and support the expected geometrical structure of Cr(III) complex. The Schiff base and its new complexes were tested for antibacterial activity against gram positive bacteria; Staphylococcus aureus and gram negative bacteria; Salmonella, Escherichia coli including the resistance bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

This archaeometric study is focused on the marble used in a group of fragmented sculptures found at the Roman villa of Quinta das Longas (Elvas, Portugal). Dating from the 4th century AD, the pieces are of remarkable quality and correspond to ideal and mythological figures from several iconographic cycles. The numerous fragments, all of very fine-grained white marble, are associated with the ornamentation of an impressive nymphaeum of the villa. Their high level of sculpture technique and style, the models followed and their similar typology to other well-known parallels raise the hypothesis of being linked with Aphrodisian workshops. Using a well-established multi-method approach, with Optical microscopy, X-ray Powder Diffraction (XRPD), qualitative and quantitative cathodoluminescence (CL) by CL-Optical and CL-SEM, and stable C and O isotopic and trace element analytical techniques (IRMS and ICP-AES), together with complementary parameters obtained from electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and 87Sr/86Sr isotopes, the marble provenance can be identified with certainty. The results all point to the best quality of white Göktepe marble, confirming the stylistic connection to the ancient Carian sculptors.

A person's status as a prisoner or prisoner has a new problem for them and their families that they leave, because not all problems can be resolved from outside the prison because the involvement of prisoners in the family is still needed. High demand for the necessities of life increases the inner pressure of the family when interacting with home, school, and other social environments in the form of expressions, awards, and conclusions that are not always true. This study is intended to determine the relationship between crime and the quality of prisoners' empathy from the point of view of compassion towards family members, as well as how prisoners express empathy for families. The method used is qualitative to obtain descriptive analysis data about phenomena, events, social activities, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions, individual thoughts, and groups about the empathy of prisoners. The results obtained are, the prisoner's ability to generate empathy for other prisoners does not depend on age and age, the prisoner's ability to establish communication with good persuasion, being an example for other prisoners, there must be a collection of books or other. Unprinted material on empirical and suggestive matters, and prisons are examples of ways to improve the quality of one's empathy.
