Earnings Management is a phenomenon that is influenced by various factors. Among them are such as information asymmetry, firms size and leverage. In Indonesia, earnings management existing cases of a few years ago. This study aims to investigate the influence of Information Asymmetry, Leverage, and firms size to earnings management practices in the mining sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. This study takes the population of the mining sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) 2010-2014. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling method. The analytical method used in this study using multiple linear regression analysis to examine the effect of Information Asymmetry, leverage, and the size of the company as an independent variable, earnings management practices as rhe dependent variable. The results showed that asymmetry of information, leverage, and firms size has effect on earnings management practices in the mining sector manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange Period 2010-2014

This research was conducted to see the effect of tax planning and company size on earnings management (Empirical Study on Company MAnufacturing Listed In Indonesia Stock Exchange). The factors tested in this study are tax planning and company size as independent variables and earnings management as the dependent variable.                This type of research is descriptive method of analysis and type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study is a manufacturing company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2015-2017. Sampling technique in this study using purposive sampling technique, so that obtained the number of samples of 21 companies with the final data amounted to 63 financial statements. Sources of data in this study are secondary data downloaded through www.idx.co.id and corporate website each in the form of annual financial statements of the company for 3 years in the period 2015 to 2017. Data analysis techniques in this study using multiple linear regression analysis.                 The results of this study indicate that simultaneously tax planning and the size of the company have a significant influence on the earings management in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock sExchange for the 2015-2017 period.

One industry sector that plays an important role for the economy in Indonesia is a manufacturing company. Because manufacturing companies are a big contributor to income for the country through taxes and other contracts. Because manufacturing companies have large asset values, they will face several business risks such as making earnings management. Companies with earnings management can result in a collapse of the company.The purpose of this study is to be able to analyze the impact of the effect between earnings management and information asymmetry in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), with the ultimate goal of recommending policies to improve manufacturing management. In this study the type of research is explanatory research using a quantitative approach. The data analysis in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis (Path analysis) on the financial statements of 300 manufacturing companies from 2013 to 2017.In this study the results for manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange for the period 2013-2017 the results are as follows: H1 testing shows that the earnings management with information asymmetry has a significant effect. H2 testing can conclude the results that the quality of financial statements on earnings management and information asymmetry does not have a significant effect.

This study aims to investigate the effect of information asymmetry on earnings management, investigate the effect of leverage on earnings management, investigate the effect of firm size on earnings management, and investigate the effect of profitability on earnings management. The population used in this study are manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2016-2018. The sample used was selected by the purposive sampling method and used secondary data in the form of an annual report. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the dependent variable, earnings management, and the independent variables are information asymmetry, leverage, firm size, and profitability. The results showed that information asymmetry did not have a significant impact on earnings management, but leverage, firmsize, and profitability had a positive and significant impact on earnings management.

Earnings Management is the action of a manager by presenting reports that increase or decrease profit for the current period of the business unit for which is responsible, without causing an increase or decrease in the unit's long-term economic profitability. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of information asymmetry, Company Size and Management ownership of Earnings Management in various industry sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2017-2019. The sample used in this study consisted of 93 samples of various industrial, basic and chemical sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2017- 2019 periods. The sample was selected using purposive sampling method. Earnings management is proxied by Discretionary Accrual using the Modified Jones Model. The data analysis method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that information asymmetry has an effect on earnings management, firm size has no effect on earnings management, and management ownership has no effect on earnings management. The results of this study also prove that simultaneously information asymmetry, firm size and managerial ownership have an effect on earnings management

Economic Rentability depend on the factor of the efficiency of cost control and working capital turnover (Khoyri, 2014; Vidiyastutik, 2013). This paper investigatesthe impact of cost control effectiveness and working capital turnover on Economic Rentability. The type of data used was quantitative data taken from the company's annual financial statements. Using panel data for 14companiesthat is all manufacturing companies of metal sub sector and the like that listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange and the observation period from 2012to 2016, we tested the relationships between the efficiency of cost control and working capital turnover by building panel model. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Meanwhile, the statistical method used is multiple linear regression analysis. Our findings showed that the efficiency of cost control does not have a significant effect on Economic Rentability. The results of this paperis indicated by the significance value of the efficiency of cost control greater than alpha (0.869> 0.05). This study also reveals that Working Capital Turnover has a significant effect on Economic Profitability. The statistical test shows that the significance value of Working Capital Turnover is smaller than alpha (0.000 <0.05).

This study aims to analyze the effect of executive characteristics and family ownership as a stimulus factor for tax avoidance and to see the existence of a political relationship as a moderating variable in the effect of executive characteristics and family ownership on tax avoidance. This research was conducted on manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2017-2019. In this study, the sample was determined based on the purposive sampling technique with the criteria that the sample company was manufacture listed on the IDX for three consecutive years from 2017-2019, published an annual report in the 2017-2019 period sequentially, did not experience delisting, was not a company the IPO in 2018-2019, did not experience any losses and did not have an ETR value of more than 1. The research sample was obtained from as many as 138 companies with 3 years of observation. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis (Multiple Regression Analysis) and Moderate Regression Analysis (MRA) using the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program. The results showed (I) executive characteristics had a significant positive effect on tax avoidance (II) family ownership had a significant negative effect on tax avoidance (III) political connections were not able to strengthen the executive's positive influence on tax avoidance (IV) political connections weakened family ownership on tax avoidance. This study can also show that the sample companies tend to comply with tax rules, they avoid sanctions and fines, and consider the risk of loss that must be faced by the company when proven to do tax avoidance.

This study aims to determine the effect of profitability, capital intensity, and inventory intensity on tax avoidance. This research was conducted at manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2017 with a population of 150 companies. Determination of the sample in this research is by non probabilaty sampling method and by purposive sampling technique, so that the research sample is 63 companies. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis which shows that all independent variables in this study, namely profitability, capital intensity, and inventory intensity have a positive effect on tax avoidance. This study aims to examine the variables of the proportion of independent commissioners, leverage, sales growth and profitability that affect companies to carry out tax avoidance. This research was conducted on all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2014-2017, with a total of 200 samples. Sample selection using probability sampling technique is purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is a multiple linear regression analysis test. The results showed that the proportion of independent commissioners, sales growth and profitability had no effect on tax avoidance while leverage had an effect on tax avoidance. This study aims to determine the effect of Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Total Assets (DAR), and Corporate Governance (CG) on tax avoidance in manufacturing companies listed on the IDX for the 2015-2019 period. Corporate Governance is proxied by the Composition of the Independent Commissioner, and Tax Avoidance is proxied by the Effective Tax Rate (ETR). The population in this study were 179 companies listed on the IDX. The sample selection used purposive sampling technique and the research sample was obtained as many as 60 companies. The data in this study are secondary data obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The data analysis used is descriptive analysis followed by the requirements test including normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and autocorrelation test. The statistical method used to analyze the data uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that Return on Assets (ROA) had a significant negative effect on tax avoidance. Meanwhile, Debt to Total Assets (DAR) and Corporate Governance (CG), which are proxied by the composition of the independent board of commissioners, have no effect on tax avoidance in manufacturing companies listed on the IDX for the 2015-2019 period.
