With continuous expansion of manufacturing scale, the scene data that virtual prototype system has to deal with is far beyond a single computer's processing power. To meet the requirements of large-scale simulation, this study designs a virtual prototype system based on PC cluster. The problems including software architecture of virtual prototype system, transformation of CAD model, scene graph management, real-time rendering of huge dataset, and so on are investigated in detail in this paper. Finally a prototype system has been implemented. The system is constructed by PC cluster and gigabit LAN. The aim of the system is to build a large-scale, high resolution, immersive virtual environment supporting users' virtual design and manufacture.

Towards the large models of complex industry products, parallel rendering is often adopted to increase the resolution, performance and scalability for 3D product visualization. In this paper, we are targeting the interactive visualization of the complex CRH3 product assemblies in a virtual environment. To render CRH3 model and assembly animation, a PC Cluster-Based sort-first parallel rendering system for virtual assembly is presented and some combined strategies are discussed. With this approach, our experimental results show that high resolution display and parallel speedup with relatively low overhead in CHR3 virtual assembly can be achieved.

In these days most of the software development uses preexisting software components. This approach provides plenty of benefits over the traditional development. Most of the software industries uses their own domain based software libraries where components resides in the form of modules, codes, executable file, documentations, test plans which may be used as it is or with minor changes. Due to shrinking time and high demand of software development it is necessary to use pre tested software components to ensure high functionality in software developed. Software components can be used very easily and without having the worries of errors and bugs because these are developed under expert supervision and well tested. What we have to do is just embed these components in our project. In this paper a survey got conducted over 112 software developer, testers and freelancers. In survey several issues in CBSD were identified. An efficient repository along with a component search engine is developed. All the component retrieval techniques were evaluated and compared with precise and recall method.
