This study examines the intergenerational equity problem of Saudi Arabia, a country that is highly dependent on oil, a non-renewable resource, for most of her income. The first part which is introductory covers the definition of the main concepts, the importance of energy and the Saudi Arabian economic trend. The second part covers oil production and the alternative and future strategies. The paper has articulated documentation as the major source of information, while maintaining review through thinking holistically as the drive to making analyses of the discussion. It is a case study design as it focuses on Saudi Arabia. The third part of the paper discusses the challenges to models, alternatives, and the impact of future price of oil. The paper concludes that managing an economy which has the strength of nonrenewable resource such as oil, need highly adept understanding of resource management while containing other industrial products to support the economy.

A growing body of research examines the impact of recent teacher evaluation systems; however, we have limited knowledge on how these systems influence teacher retention. This study uses a mixed-methods design to examine teacher retention patterns during the pilot year of an evaluation system in an urban school district in Texas. We used difference-in-differences analysis to examine the impact of the new system on school-level teacher turnover and administered a teacher survey ( N = 1,301) to investigate individual and school-level factors influencing retention. This quantitative analysis was supplemented with interview data from two case study schools. Results suggest that, overall, the new evaluation system did not have a significant effect on teacher retention, but there was significant variation at the individual and school level. This study has important implications for policymakers developing new evaluation systems and researchers interested in evaluating their impact on retention.

The need of education which is properly accommodated in Constitution Number 20 of 2003 about national education System on article 50, verse 3 which mandate that Government and/or Local Government hold at least one educational unit on whole educational level to be developed as school at international level. After 8 year implementation, through Constitution Court session on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, issued a policy about abolition of international based school. Constitution Court has accepted the complaint which is submitted by Coalition against Commercialization of Education. In its consideration, Constitution Court considers that international school in governmental school is on the contrary to UUD 1945. The purpose of this research is to know about the impact of Constitution Court decision (The Abolition of RSBI/SBI Program) in schools and public institutions in this case about student guardian. This research is also expected to be able to give contribution for knowledge and science especially to research policy in education. The method of this research is qualitative research and case study. This research is held in SDN 26 Argamakmur which is one of Pioneering International School (RSBI). This research uses some informants; they are teachers and administration staffs of SDN 26 Argamakmur, student guardians, the officials of education and culture department of North Bengkulu regency and the officials of education and culture department of regional offices and also some policy experts in the field of education. This research finds out some facts that Constitution Court decision about the revocation of RSBI in SD BI 26 Argamakmur causes the result of psychology pressure for teachers as the spearhead of policy implementer. Before this decision published, the teachers who teach in this school have their own pride to teach in this school. Physically, RSBI School in Argamakmur has some facilities such as computer laboratory, Language laboratory, and ICT room. These facilities need high maintenance fund. Therefore, regional government still has responsibilities toward the impact of status alteration of this school. The alteration of status from RSBI school to regular school results on various impact for society especially students guardian. For the parents who have sent their children to RSBI School, there is a pride form the parents toward their children because they have basic skills that aren’t given in other schools. The skills are active English skill and computer skill. Many parents who have their children study in International Standard Primary School (SD BI) feel disappointed since there won’t be written international standard school in their children’s educational certificate. International predicate is considered as a pride for some parents. The steps taken by school have been based on circular letter of education and culture Minister of Indonesia dated January 30, 2013. This collective case study explores the use and impact of instructional technology on fourth grade Gifted and Talented (GT) students' engagement and motivation to learn. Through this exploration, the authors were able to modify their use of instructional technology to suit the needs of the heterogeneous group of GT learners. Although the level of use, purpose for use, and how students used the instructional technology varied between the courses, this case reveals that the heterogeneous nature of the GT students necessitated a flexible approach to instruction and use of IT in order to maintain high levels of engagement and motivation. While these findings are not novel, they add to the discourse regarding teachers' perceptions of GT students and how those perceptions inform instructional practices. This chapter intends to stimulate critical self-reflection regarding perceptions of GT students and the impact those perceptions have on instructional practices.

Using quarterly data from 2010 to 2019, this paper investigates the impact of listing status on the performance of the National Commercial Bank (NCB), the largest commercial bank in Saudi Arabia, by applying a combination of financial ratios analysis and efficient frontier analysis with a mix of parametric and non-parametric tests. The overall results show that although the NCB performance is superior compared to their counterparts, this superiority has deteriorated after the bank was listed in 2014. This result was captured by the deterioration in the efficiency measures of NCB, indicating the significance of using the efficient frontier analysis as an additional monitoring tool by the Saudi regulators. The financial ratios analysis also shows that even though the NCB profitability has increased, there is an increase in the bank’s overall risk after being listed. Therefore, Saudi regulators should closely monitor their listed banks as these banks are directed toward high-risk assets.

This research was written to discover the future trends in new media and social networking .The researchers have taken a personal interest in the developments of Web 2.0 platforms after noticing the impact they have made on society on a global scale as well as in our own daily life. The advances in this technology have altered the way individual users and organizations can communicate with each other. In this study of the social network sites we will concentrate on Facebook and its effectiveness as a tool of marketing in the Saudi population because recently it gained enormous popularity for marketing communications. Facebook especially describes itself as the perfect marketing tool because its developers have created an advertising system which allows businesses to use the information of each Facebook user for targeted advertising. Facebook provides the ideal platform for direct communication between organizations and customers. Marketing on social network sites has to follow new rules and principles and each organization has to clearly determine if social media marketing is appropriate for them or not. Through extensive research and analysis, the researchers intended to find if the Facebook is an effective marketing tool in Saudi Arabia where marketers can reach and influence targeted consumers.
