A new gonibregmatid centipede,Vinaphilusunicusgen. n.,sp. n., is described based on two females from a single location in northern Vietnam. The new genus and species are distinguished mainly by the arrangement of the ventral pore-fields, which is unique among all Chilopoda. A critically revised synopsis of the Gonibregmatidae is also given. In particular, three species are provisionally recognized inHimatosomaPocock, 1891:H.bidivisumSilvestri, 1919,H.porosumPocock, 1891 (=H.typicumtridivisumSilvestri, 1919,syn. n.), andH.typicumPocock, 1891. The generaDschangelophilusVerhoeff, 1937 andTweediphilusVerhoeff, 1937, with their speciesD.coloratusVerhoeff, 1937 andT.malaccanusVerhoeff, 1937, are moved to the Gonibregmatidae, whereasGeoporophilusaporusAttems, 1930 is moved to the Oryidae asOrphnaeusaporus(Attems, 1930),comb. n.

Abstract Gilen gen. nov. (type species G. orientalis sp. nov.) from South East Asia is described and illustrated. The new taxon has a produced mid-longitudinal facial projection, which differentiates it from all other known genera of Ichneumonidae. It belongs to the tribe Perilissini in the subfamily Ctenopelmatinae (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae) and is recorded from Laos, Northern Thailand and Vietnam.

Mekongomantis quinquespinosa gen. et sp. nov., a new Mantidae genus and species is described based on specimens from two localities—Lam Vien plateau in Vietnam and the environments of Umphang, Thailand. The new genus has five posteroventral spines on the forefemur, a feature previously unknown in any Mantidae (sensu stricto) genus. The rest of external morphology is similar to Tenodera Burmeister, 1838 and Mantis Linnaeus, 1758, while the characters of the male genitalia place the species more closely to Hierodula Burmeister, 1838 and Camelomantis Giglio-Tos, 1917. The discovery of such a large (>70 mm) genus level taxon exemplifies the poorly studied diversity of Mantodea in the rapidly deteriorating Greater Mekong area. To ease identification, we also provide a key to the Mantidae of South-East Asia.

Zhengica cornuta gen. nov., sp. nov. (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomidae: Pentatominae: Pentatomini) from Shanxi, China, is described, illustrated, and its phylogenetic affinities are discussed. The genus is recognized as a generalized member of the clade of Pentatoma Olivier, 1789 and related genera, its phylogenetically closest relative is probably Cervicoris Hsiao & Cheng, 1977.

A rheophylous cladoceran, Rheoalona mekongensis sp. nov., gen. nov. (Anomopoda: Chydoridae: Aloninae) is described from the Mekong River, South-East Asia. Rheoalona gen. nov. belongs to the Coronatella-branch of Aloninae, it differs from Karualona Dumont & Silva-Briano, 2000 in absence of seta 1 of IDL of thoracic limb I and by particularly strong lateral setae of postabdomen; from Anthalona Van Damme, Sinev & Dumont, 2011 in a wide connection between major head pores, lack of cosmaria, and two-flaming torch setae of limb IV; and from Coronatella Dybowski & Grochowski, 1894 in two major head pores, very small elementary denticles of postabdomen, and a very small basal spine of postabdominal claw. R. mekongensis sp. nov. is specially adapted for dwelling in the upper layer of fine sediments of turbid rivers. Our finding stress the importance of sampling in riverine habitats for the full inventories of the cladoceran fauna.

We describe a new genus, Manitischeria Diškus & Stonis, gen. nov., and five new species: Manitischeria selindica Stonis & Diškus, sp. nov., M. namibiensis Stonis & Diškus, sp. nov. from Africa, and M. brachiata Diškus & Stonis, sp. nov., M. symbolica Diškus & Stonis, sp. nov., and M. baryshnikovae Diškus & Stonis, sp. nov. from South East Asia. We discuss the diagnostics of Manitischeria gen. nov. composed of these new species and others transferred from Tischeria Zeller. Species are mostly trophically associated with Malvaceae, but also Rhamnaceae and Betulaceae. We list 18 currently known species of Manitischeria gen. nov., including M. ptarmica (Meyrick), the type species, and provide 13 new combinations and the first documentation of genitalia of some, previously little-known species. New species are illustrated with photographs or drawings of the adults, genitalia, and the leaf mines when available. We briefly discuss the use of herbarium specimens to discover lepidopteran leaf mines, host plant, and distribution data.

The genus Rhacophorus Kuhl & Van Hasselt is currently known to contain 92 species of frogs (Frost 2018), distributed across south and south-east Asia. Rhacophorus feae Boulenger is a large member of this genus and has a seemingly expansive range been recorded from southern Yunnan in China, the Karen hills in Myanmar, northern Thailand, northern Laos and northern Vietnam (Chanard et al. 1999; Orlov et al. 2002; Nguyen et al. 2005; Stuart 2005; Yang 2008). It is currently included in the intrageneric R. dennysi group (Dubois 1986) along with R. duboisi Ohler, Marquis, Swan & Grosjean , R. dennysi Blanford, R. dugritei (David), R. minimus Rao, Wilkinson & Liu, R. hungfuensis Liu & Hu, R. dorsoviridis Bourret, R. nigropunctatus Liu, Hu & Yang, and R. smaragdinus (Blyth).

Endoparasitic Ascodipterinae (Streblidae) were collected from bats from southeast China and northern Vietnam. Among this material, the new genus and species Maabella stomalata is described. The dealate females of this new taxon from China were attached over the joints of the wings of Rhinolophus affinis Horsfield and Rhinolophus macrotis Blyth. They were also removed from the wings of Rhinolophus paradoxalophus (Bourret) and R. macrotis from Vietnam. Clarification of the relationships of the streblid genera Ascodipteron Adensamer, 1896, Maabella, and Paraascodipteron Advani and Vazirani, 1981 is discussed. Techniques are presented for the preparation and preservation of these small obligate parasites.Key words: Ascodipteron, bat flies, endoparasite, neosome, Paraascodipteron, Rhinolophus

A new genus and species of freshwater crab, Diyutamon cereum n. gen., n. sp., is described from a cave in Guizhou, China. This is the first record of a true stygomorphic crab from China and East Asia, possessing pale body coloration, strongly reduced eyes, and long ambulatory legs. While superficially similar to Chinapotamon Dai & Naiyanetr, 1994, and Tiwaripotamon Bott, 1970, the new genus possesses a diagnostic combination of carapace, ambulatory leg, thoracic sternal, and male abdominal characters that easily distinguishes it from other genera. Molecular data derived from the mitochondrial 16S rDNA supports the establishment of the new genus.

The new genus Paralasianthus is described from South-East Asia. Five species are recognised in the genus, four of which required new combinations, P. brevipes, P. dichotomus, P. lowianus and P. hainanensis, and one is described as a new species, P. zhengyianus. A key to the species is presented.
