With the development of human society, people’s requirements on landscape environment have been increasingly higher. Waterfront landscape, as the important component of a city, shall not only demonstrate the natural beauty of natural landscape but also the ecological and humanistic beauty of human landscape. This paper finds out the related principles and design methods to integrate regional culture into the design of waterfront landscape through analyzing the concepts and content of waterfront landscape.

Thanks for the opportunity that sent students to attend the short-term academic class at University of Wales Trinity Saint David at the end of 2019, the author took this opportunity to deeply experience the local customs, cultural customs and landscape of Britain. At the same time, as a landscape design researcher, the author elaborated the design methods and elements of the British natural landscape garden. Through literature reviewing and field feeling, and compared with classical Chinese gardens, the author analyzed their similarities and differences. "Wild and exquisite" means "natural and worth thinking". The author analyzed the characteristics of several modern natural landscape garden visited and found out the moment of "wild and exquisite" in British natural landscape garden.

The current landscape space design ignored the existence of self-awareness and demonstration of Human Beings, meanwhile it also make human beings being dominated constantly. This thesis combined narrative, space, plot and other theories which related with the theory of landscape design explored the design methods which make the landscape views more appealing and space-create strategies which take narrative as spatial clues from the angel of main body in creation and started by aesthetic experience and behaviors of Human Beings, it also reflect harmonious spatial order between Views and Human Beings.

Road Landscape design does not exist independently in urban construction but intergrates into the urban cultures by design. This article discusses based on Huangshi Mining and Metallurgy culture the urban road design from the aspects of color, pavement, blind sidewalk, plants, and public environment facilities. Also it proposes the way of design that combines cultural landscape and natural landscape according to the city geographical features, therefore makes the urban road landscape design to be more cultural and representative.

In order to find a way to combine traditional culture with modern living needs, taking “Chinese painting” as the breakthrough point, through the study of the development process and artistic characteristics of Chinese painting, four aspects of classical philosophy, natural landscape image, brush and ink composition artistic conception, and abstract aesthetic conception contained in Chinese painting are summed up. The results of the study provide enlightenment for contemporary residential landscape design, and summarize the methods of creating Chinese paintings in residential landscape design. Thus, a residential landscape model with the characteristics of “Chinese painting” is found out.

With the increasingly distinct pursuit of traditional culture by the public, the new Chinese-style landscape will be a development trend with constant improvement, playing a motivated role in a city, even a country. This paper conducts an analysis on the related concept and elements of new Chinese-style landscape and proposes the design methods of new Chinese-style landscape, to create a new design featuring the period feel and sense of nationality, with better integration and inheritance between tradition and modernity.

Landscape architecture is the connection between human and nature, which enhance human health and comfort. It contributes to water conservation and natural resource preservation since it is a part of the global ecosystem. The geographical location, which represents the climatic and terrestrial features, is one of the essential considerations of the landscape design due to its cruciality of design impacts. In this research, new landscape classification has been revealed that categorizes the landscape into two main categories: natural landscape and built landscape, and each category has been followed by subcategories which have demonstrated in this paper. One of the landscape architecture objectives is to optimize the design for human needs and comfort, thus how will the landscape design optimize in different climate conditions? There are many environmental design strategies that respond to any climate type conditions.

The landscape features of traditional villages displayed in the Huizhou District were formed in a specific environment gradually. It was the result of the comprehensive effects of natural, historical, social, and cultural factors. This study took Qizili Village as an example and sorted out the composition and current situation of its natural landscape and human landscape. To refine the proper composition model of Qizili Village, we analyzed the landscape features from the perspectives of the natural environment, layout planning, traditional architecture, environmental elements, and traditional culture. Finally, we concluded the landscape connotation of Qizili Village.

Urban sculpture, as the important component of landscape environment, has caused peoples attention increasingly and is more and more widely used in modern landscape design. Urban landscape sculpture design should not only consider the design of physique itself, but also consider the environmental space and regional characteristics. The theme, form of artistic representation and the size of sculpture are determined according to the environment of set point of sculpture.
