This paper proposes a novel and efficient algorithm for defogging of color (RGB) images. The fog in a scene is mostly due to the attenuation and airlight map, which decrease the quality of the image of the scene. To enhance such images from the visual point of view, a fractional-order anisotropic diffusion algorithm with [Formula: see text]-Laplace norm is proposed for removing the fog effect. In particular, a coupling term is added in order to model the inter-channel correlations. The weights used in the coupling term stop the transmission of diffusion with in the edges, thus balances the inter-channel data in the diffusion procedure. Experimental results validate the better performance of the proposed algorithm over some of the existing anisotropic diffusion-based methods. The proposed method is independent of the measure of fog in the images, thus images with different amount of fog can be enhanced.

The use of laser engraving equipment for marking on certain products the expiry date, the bar code as well as customizing them, represents an efficient and non-polluting method. This method is very challenging from the technological point of view and with a lot of process variables that demand research. The current paper tackles the quality of the laser engraved glass in CO2 environment, as a function of the following parameters: the lasers power and the lasers pulse length. Based on the experimental results a quality system is being proposed which relies on the visual examination of the craters, of the top area of the crater and the quantity of excess material surrounding them. The research method used in the current paper is the experiment and the comparative analysis of the experimental results.

The tight competition in the business world requires every business actor to develop business with various kinds of competition in all fields, one of which is by processing human resources, because the quality of human resources greatly affects the quality of production. The production process is usually associated with productivity, if productivity increases it will also be followed by an increase in the performance of the company. Human Resources is one of the keys to the success of the company in order to increase competition and improve product quality. The method used in this study is a descriptive type of qualitative approach. The data collection technique was through observation, interviews and documentation, the data source being from UD Slamet Situbondo. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of human resources on improving product quality. The results of the study indicate that the existence of quality possessed by human resources is very decisive for improving product quality in the future. For measuring product quality, it can be known through customer satisfaction, free from damage, the size of the durability of the product, product accuracy, and easy to operate and maintain. Meanwhile, from a marketing point of view, product quality is measured in terms of the buyer's perception of the quality of the product

Topic distillation is the process of finding representative pages relevant to a given query. Well-known topic distillation approaches such as the HITS algorithm have shown to be useful for topic distillation. Many succeeding researchers focus on augmenting HITS with further content analysis to alleviate the steady deterioration of distillation quality suffered by HITS. In this paper, we attempt to revisit the behavior of HITS from a different point of view. Namely, a similarity-based analysis model is applied to observing the distillation procedure. By defining a generalized similarity, an algorithm is proposed, which can improve the quality of distillation only using the information of hyperlinks. The experimental results reveal that the new algorithm improves distillation quality without utilizing any content information of pages.

In the conditions of market regulation of the relations of the manufacturer and the consumer, one of the central issues is the quality of the preparedness of university graduates from the point of view of demand. This is due to the fact that the modern consumer is becoming more critical. The need for services in the field of FC (as, however, in any other industry) is inextricably linked with the way the proposal of these services and the offering and their personality. Product quality in the field of FC should be considered as a measure of customer satisfaction and expectations. Thus, the quality of services, and consequently, and the demand for them depend on the level of professional and personal qualities of graduates of universities and faculties of physical culture.

The article considers topical issues regarding the impact of products (goods) quality on the formation of a sufficient level of competitiveness of enterprise. Views on the conceptual and categorical apparatus related to "competitiveness", "product competitiveness" and "quality" are generalized, including foreign experience. The purpose of this article is consideration and analysis of the impact of product quality on the formation of the competitiveness of enterprise and the achievement of its appropriate level in modern market economy. The essence of the concept of "product quality" from the point of view of the manufacturer is highlighted. The interdependence between product quality and ensuring the appropriate level of enterprise competitiveness is shown. The main advantages of improving product quality as a factor of competitiveness of products and the enterprise as a whole are given. The main attention is paid to quality as a factor in the formation of consumer confidence, technology "word of mouth", the importance of aesthetic indicators of products (goods). It is determined that the high quality of products (goods) provides greater return on investment and insufficient level of quality at the initial stage is a positive factor in the development of an enterprise. The main ways to improve product quality and product competitiveness are proposed. It is determined that the quality of products (goods) is influenced by a number of different factors, both internal and external (production technology, pricing policy, efficiency of product quality management system, the level of competition in the market, consumer requirements, etc.). Product competitiveness and enterprise competitiveness are correlated as part and whole. The main measures to improve the quality of products (goods), we see: the formation of consumer confidence and communication, the use of technology "word of mouth", the importance of aesthetic indicators in product or goods development, and development of competitive strategy based on marketing research of competitors, consumers, and the market as a whole.

This study is a quantitative study that aims to determine and analyze whether 3 quality perspectives namely product quality, service quality and delivery quality affect consumer perceptions in rating online stores. The purpose of this study is to find out how consumers rate online stores from three points of view, namely the point of view of product quality, delivery quality, and from the point of view of service quality. This study is located in Surabaya and took a sample of 70 respondents with the provisions of doing online shopping as much as 5 times in the last 1 month. After fulfilling the validity and reliability test, then doing hypothesis testing using the F test and t-test. The results showed that 3 quality perspectives, namely product quality, service quality, and delivery quality either partially or simultaneously had a significant effect on consumer perceptions in determining online store ratings. In addition to building a store image, giving a high rating from consumers will also increase sales turnover which will have an impact on increasing online store profits.

The category of “quality” is multifaceted, has social, technical, economic legal and other aspects. In the framework of this work, the category of “quality” is considered in relation to the product and only from the standpoint of civil law. Issues of product quality are always relevant, since low-quality goods can not only and not so much infringe on the interests of the person purchasing and / or using the goods, but also the interests of third parties and even the state. Poorquality goods may be unsafe, pose a threat to the life and health of people, their property. Based on the data of philosophical and economic sciences, the authors analyze the components of the concept of “quality of goods”. The authors conclude that, from the point of view of civil law, these include the name of the product, its usefulness for a particular consumer, the ability of the product to be consumed, the presence of the product's consumer properties / readiness of the product for circulation. These components are also considered from the standpoint of objective and subjective qualities.

This chapter reviews game audio from a Quality of Experience point of view. It describes cross-modal interaction of auditory and visual stimuli, re-introduces the concept of plausibility, and discusses issues of interactivity and attention as the basis for the qualitative, high-level salience model being suggested here. The model is substantiated by experimental results indicating that interaction or task located in the audio domain clearly influences the perceived audio quality. Cross-modal influence, with interaction or task located in a different (for example, visual) domain, is possible, but is significantly harder to predict and evaluate.

The partitioning a set of professional programmers into a set of teams when a programming project specifies requirements to the competency in various programming technologies and tools is a hard combinatorial problem. The paper proposes a genetic algorithm, which is capable of finding competitive and high-quality partitioning solutions in acceptable runtime. The algorithm introduces chromosomes in such a way as to assign each programmer to a team, define the team staff and easily reconstruct the teams during optimization process. A fitness function characterizes each chromosome with respect to the quality of the programmers partitioning. It accounts for the average qualification of teams and the qualification of team best representatives on each of the technologies. The function recognizes the teams that meet all constraints on the project and are workable from this point of view. It is also capable of recognizing the teams that do not meet the constraints and are unworkable. The algorithm defines the genetic operations of selection, crossing and mutation in such a way as to move programmers from unworkable to workable teams, to increase the number of workable teams, to ex-change programmers among workable teams, to increase the competency of every workable team, and thus to maximize the teams overall qualification. Experimental results obtained on a set of programmers graduated from Belarus universities show the capability of the genetic algorithm to find good partitioning solutions, maximize the teams’ competency and minimize the number of unemployed programmers.
