The light high-speed transmission systems with minimum dimensions and weights may show a wide spectrum of properties extending from the regular - periodic solutions to irregular ones of chaotic character. The method of transformation of differential boundary value problems to equivalent nonlinear integro-differential equations with solving kernels of Green’s type and the method of successive approximations are applied for analytical analysis of dynamic phenomena. The paper contains the concise summary of the long-term studies in the given area of basic research.

Palabras clave: Apareamiento, Panthera onca, videofilmación, Yucatán Abstract: In november 2006, using a prototype of video camera, we obtained the shooting of a pair of jaguars in mating attitude. This was done in the El Zapotal private reserve, in the northeastern portion of the Yucatan Peninsula, and represents one of the first experiences of its type, also providing unique information about the mating behavior and the date of occurrence. The latter is consistent with some results derived from wide spectrum, long term studies about jaguar populations in South America. Key words: Mating, Panthera onca, videoshooting, Yucatan

From the behavioural economy point of view, the image of a region becomes more and more important. Image has strong influence on forming the demographic situation, at the level of investment attractiveness and some other aspects of competitiveness of a region. Image is mostly important for tourist business development.Throughout the last fifteen years we have developed methods that enable measuring the emotional essence of images with high objectivity and accuracy. First of all, the given methods are intended for studying the most widespread forms of image – verbal and visual ones. Both techniques exist in the form of computer programmes which provide high speed and enable analysing big amounts of initial data. The emotional spectrum of statements of Kraków visitors (on the materials of English language tourist blogs) contains a relatively high share of emotions of grief, fear and anger. It is possible to assume that for tourists from Central and Western Europe, visiting Kraków is emotionally somehow close to visiting Siberia, both are thought of as “East” for them.On the contrary, the emotional essence of advertising materials is strongly shifted towards emotions of interest and pride. The advertising materials devoted to many other tourist magnets of Europe, America or Asia have similar spectrums. As a result, the image of Kraków is deprived of individuality. Uniqueness of the city is not reflected. The narrow and monotonous emotional spectrum of advertising can push away a potential tourist. The emotional maintenance of advertising materials forms quite certain expectations of a potential buyer (tourist). Discrepancy between the emotions promised by advertising and the real experience leaves an impression of deceit, not justified expectations. In a long-term prospect, such advertising inevitably reduces tourist appeal and competitiveness of the region.

Abstract— A cyclically symmetric umbrella antenna is considered, the frame of which consists of flexible inextensible radial rods connected in nodes along parallels by tensile cables. In the initial transport position, the multilink rods are packed in packages oriented in the direction of the system axis. After the packing ties are removed, the rods are deployed in radial planes under the action of elastic springs connecting the links, and are fixed in rectilinear positions at a given angle with respect to the axis, at which all cables connecting the same type of rod nodes take the form of regular polygons, while remaining loose. Further, under the action of the force of a damping hydraulic cylinder with pre-compressed springs, the root parts of all rods are slowly turned to the stops. In the final position, the radial rods, connected at the nodes by tensioned cables, take a curved shape. The tensile stiffnesses of the cables are determined so that the radial and axial coordinates of the nodes of the curved rods coincide with the coordinates of the points of the given surface of revolution. A model of strong bending of a flexible inextensible rod is constructed taking into account the unknown radial reactions of tensioned cables acting on it at the nodes. The links of the rod are considered as “cantilever” elements connected in series at the nodes in local coordinate systems, which can make large displacements and turns. The bending of each element is described by two specified functions, the shrinkage of the element due to bending is taken into account in a quadratic approximation. The obtained nonlinear deformation equations of the system, taking into account the geometric connections at the nodes, are solved by the method of successive approximations with respect to the unknown reactions of the cables. The obtained values of the reactions are then used to determine the required tensile stiffness of the cables at the given coordinates of the nodes. As an example of the calculation, a parabolic antenna is considered for various numbers of radial rods and components of links. The estimates of the accuracy of the proposed computational model of the antenna shaping are carried out.

The deployment of new radio access technologies always provides a good opportunity and timing to optimize the existing mobile front- and backhaul (commonly called “anyhaul”). The legacy systems (Long-Term Evolution (LTE), High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA), third-generation mobile (3G), second-generation mobile (2G)) already extensively utilize the transmission and transport capacities of the mobile anyhaul. With the current launch of 5G (fifth-generation mobile) and recent LTE-A (Advanced Long-Term Evolution), additional new transmission capacities are required again. Depending on the traffic and network topology, additional cell sites are built, and even more locations are connected with fiber optics. The existing microwave and millimeter-wave links are rotated toward those aggregation points that already have optical-fiber access. Due to the increased cell-site density, the average distance of the radio access links can be reduced by network and topology optimization. The reduced hop lengths combined with adaptive modulation and automatic power control bring an opportunity for capacity increase in shortened radio links. Links newly deployed for 5G find a wide spectrum in the millimetric V, E, W, and D frequency bands. This paper discusses the availability and hop-length targets of the anyhaul links that should be carefully kept by proper planning and monitoring.

SummaryBackground: Compression stockings are widely used in patients with varicose veins. Methods: Based on published literature three main points are discussed: 1. the rationale of compression therapy in primary varicose veins, 2. the prescription of compression stockings in daily practice, 3. studies required in the future. Results: The main objective of prescribing compression stockings for patients with varicose veins is to improve subjective leg complaints and to prevent swelling after sitting and standing. No convincing data are available concerning prevention of progression or of complications. In daily practice varicose veins are the most common indication to prescribe compression stockings. The compliance depends on the severity of the disorder and is rather poor in less severe stages. Long-term studies are needed to proof the cost-effectiveness of compression stockings concerning subjective symptoms and objective signs of varicose veins adjusted to their clinical severity. Conclusion: Compression stockings in primary varicose veins are able to improve leg complaints and to prevent swelling.

Abstract Tourist services represent a category of services in which the inseparability of production and consumption, the inability to be storable, the immateriality, and last but not least non-durability, induces in tourism management a number of peculiarities and difficulties. Under these circumstances the development of medium-term strategies involves long-term studies regarding on the one hand the developments and characteristics of the demand, and on the other hand the tourist potential analysis at regional and local level. Although in the past 20 years there has been tremendous growth of on-line booking made by household users, the tour operators agencies as well as those with sales activity continue to offer the specific services for a large number of tourists, that number, in the case of domestic tourism, increased by 1.6 times in case of the tour operators and by 4.44 times in case of the agencies with sales activity. At the same time, there have been changes in the preferences of tourists regarding their holiday destinations in Romania. Started on these considerations, paper based on a logistic model, examines the evolution of the probabilities and scores corresponding to the way the Romanian tourists spend their holidays on the types of tourism agencies, actions and tourist areas in Romania.
