ABSTRACT Here we report the complete genome sequence of Streptococcus agalactiae strain 874391. This serotype III isolate is a member of the hypervirulent sequence type 17 (ST-17) lineage that causes a disproportionate number of cases of invasive disease in humans and mammals. A brief historical context of the strain is discussed.

Here, the complete genome sequence of sponge-associated Tenacibaculum mesophilum DSM 13764T is presented. T. mesophilum is a close relative of the fish pathogen T. maritimum, which causes significant fish disease outbreaks in aquaculture facilities. The T. mesophilum genome sequence will serve as an important resource for comparative genomics approaches.

We report a complete genome sequence of a Finnish isolate of the fish pathogen Flavobacterium columnare. Using PacBio RS II sequencing technology, the complete circular genome of F. columnare strain B185 with 3,261,404 bp was obtained.

Streptococcus agalactiae is an important causal pathogen of neonatal and obstetric sepsis, and it may be involved in invasive infection in immunocompromised and elderly individuals. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Streptococcus agalactiae serotype III strain HU-GS5823, which was isolated from a patient in Japan with an invasive infection.

ABSTRACTThis work describes a whole-genome sequence ofStreptococcus agalactiaestrain GD201008-001, a pathogen causing meningoencephalitis in cultural tilapia in China. The genome sequence provides opportunities to understand the piscine GBS pathogenicity and its genetic basis associated with host tropism.

Streptococcus agalactiae (group B Streptococcus ) is a common commensal strain in the human gastrointestinal tract that can also cause invasive disease in humans and other animals. We report here the complete genome sequence of S. agalactiae SG-M1, a serotype III, multilocus sequence type 283 strain, isolated from a Singaporean patient suffering from meningitis.

ABSTRACT Here, we report the complete genome of piscine Streptococcus agalactiae 01173 serotype Ia, which was generated using long-read sequencing technology. The bacteria were isolated from wild fish displaying signs of streptococcosis, from a fish kill incident in Kuwait.
