ABSTRACTWe are presenting two cases of congenital urethrocutaneous fistula on ventral penile shaft. Congenital urethral fistula is an extremely rare, but easily manageable anomaly that may be confused with hypospadias. Awareness of the entity will avoid complications. This condition may be associated with other anomalies like congenital hernias and anorectal malformations. Treatment of this entity is individualized according to site of fistula, associated anomalies and condition of the distal urethra. All the principles of hypospadias surgery should be strictly followed.

Poland’s syndrome is the association of congenital thoracic abnormalities with ipsilateral syndactyly along with various other associated anomalies. A variant of Poland’s syndrome without syndactyly along with review of literature is presented here. Various associated anomalies of the syndrome is summarized. Syndactyly believed to be constant features in Poland’s Syndrome in earlier reports, may not be present.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3126/njr.v1i1.6328 Nepalese Journal of Radiology Vol.1(1): 65-69

Anterior congenital urethrocutaneous fistula is a rare anomaly that may present in an isolated fashion or in association with other anomalies of the genital urinary tract or anorectal malformations. A case of congenital anterior urethrocutaneous fistula nonassociated with other congenital anomalies in a 3-year-old male whose mother has been exposed to Chernobyl's nuclear fallout is described. The patient was successfully operated with no recurrence. We report a review of the literature about etiology and surgical strategy including the role of ionizing radiations. The congenital anterior urethrocutaneous fistula represents a rare malformation. The etiopathogenesis is unknown.

An 8-month-old male child presented with the complaint of two separate urinary streams from the penis. The child had no complaints of incontinence or recurrent UTI (urinary tract infection). Initial diagnosis of urethrocutaneous fistula was made and proceeded to micturating cystourethrography (MCU) and found to be having a urethral duplication. The duplicated urethra was excised and accessory urethra closed. Postoperatively, the child was followed up for 1 year and had no complaints of recurrence or incontinence. Through this case report, we learn about different classification systems and types of urethral duplication and their associated anomalies, and mode of management, which is mainly surgical. Further, management should be individualised to each patient based on their complaints and intraoperative findings.
