The authors of this chapter present an e-mail based mobile communication system for interactive lecture support. This system consists of: attendance management subsystem, attendance history management subsystem, short examination management subsystem, questionnaire subsystem, and assignment delivery subsystem. Both students and teachers mainly use only e-mail functions and it can access the server. This system can be used regardless of terminal models only if mails can be sent and received through the Internet. In this chapter, the outline of this system is described, and the functions and effects are discussed.

The mobile phone industry has experienced an explosive growth in recent years. The emerging markets such as China, India, and Brazil contribute this growth. In China, the number of mobile subscribers has already surpassed the number of fixed landline phone subscribers. In Korea and Japan, there is an explosion of mobile and wireless services. The United States are joining too and there were 207.9 million subscribers in 2005 (CTIA, 2006). Mobile e-commerce (m-commerce) makes business mobility a reality; mobile users could access the Internet at any time, from anywhere with handheld devices or laptop. A 3G enabled smart phone enables you to access a wide range of services anywhere and anytime. For example, you can send and receive e-mail, make cinema and restaurant reservations and pay for them, check real train time, look at digital maps, download music and games, and also browse the Internet. Mobile and wireless services are ranging from mobile communication networks to wireless local area networks. The service provided by mobile communication systems has achieved huge success as mobile and wireless communication technologies are converging at fast speed. We will study mobile and wireless communication in relation to mobile phones. Hence, m-commerce is defined as electronic commerce carried out in handheld devices such as smart phone through mobile and wireless communication network.

With the rapid development of mobile Internet and Internet of Things business, the 5G mobile communication process has been accelerated. This article summarizes the Internet technology under 5G mobile communication, analyses the connotation of Internet of Things, and studies the integration of 5G mobile communications and Internet of Things technology. Through the analysis and discussion of the new possibilities in the Internet of Things era under 5G mobile communication technology, the research shows that the simulation analysis combined with the cell breathing technology and the base station dormancy technology aims to decrease the energy consumption of the base station under the premise of ensuring the communication quality, thereby improving the network energy efficiency. Research shows that in the dense and uniform user distribution scenario, the power consumption has a small decrease due to the increase of power consumption, but the system capacity is significantly improved and the communication quality is improved. It can ensure the user’s fairness and system capacity to achieve, and meet the rate requirements of different users. The analog results verify the accuracy of the theoretical analysis.

In the context of the increased use of high-quality camera phones, along with the growth in distribution services via social and locative media, we are witnessing new forms of visuality emerging. These new types of ‘co-present’ visuality overlay and interweave online and offline cartographies in different ways – maps that require a revision of ethnography. In this article, we frame this phenomenon as a shift from networked visuality to emplaced visuality and sociality. That is, we reflect upon previous models deployed in mobile communication and depart from them to consider how a phenomenological approach – rooted in visual and multisensorial ethnography – might help provide insight into this dynamic media cartography and the socialities associated with it.
