This research was conducted to determine the relationship between the use of the story reading method of children's social behavior. After being given treatment in the form of the story reading storytelling method in the experimental group, it showed an increase in social behavior of children aged 4-5. In the experimental group the results of the pre-test observation (Y1) were 2407 and the results of the final observation (post test) showed higher data 2639. Based on the results of the experimental group pre-test and post-test data, there is a difference in the score between the post-test and pre-test with a difference of 200. So it can be concluded that there are differences in social behavior of children aged 4-5 years before being given treatment, namely the storytelling method. story reading after being given the story reading storytelling method treatment. After being given the treatment, the results of the final observation showed that the data score increased and showed that the story reading method can improve the social behavior of children aged 4-5 years.

An increasing body of research has revealed that social behavior shapes the animal gut microbiome community and leads to the similarity among the same social group. However, some additional factors (e.g., diet and habitat within each social group) may also contribute to this similarity within the social group and dissimilarity between social groups. Here, we investigated the potential correlation between social behavior and the gut microbiome community in 179 musk deer from four breeding regions in the Maerkang Captive Center, Sichuan. The dominant gut microbiome phyla in the musk deer in this study were Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, and Proteobacteria. We found significant effects on the alpha and beta diversity of the gut microbiome due to the breeding regions. The similarity within breeding regions was higher than that between the breeding regions. Due to their solitary lifestyle, captive musk deer are raised in single cages with no direct social contact most of the time. Deer in all of the breeding regions have the same diet and similar living conditions. However, during each mating season from November to January, in each region, one adult male and about six adult females will be put together into a large cage. Social behavior happens during cohabitation, including mating behavior, grooming within the same sex or between different sexes, and other social contact. Therefore, we speculated that high similarity within the breeding region might be associated with the social behavior during the mating season. This was a simple and straightforward example of the relationship between animal social behavior and the gut microbiome.

The historical present, the use of the present tense to refer to past events, is a feature of narrative which has long been recognized. The object of this analysis is the use of the historical present tense specifically in narratives which occur in everyday conversational interactions. This usage will be referred to as the conversational historical present to distinguish it from the use of this tense in other genres such as travelogues and jokes. In the analysis of the occurrence of the conversational historical present, it was found that features of the relationship between the speaker and the audience had a strong influence. This is true not because the use of the linguistic feature itself is socially stratified, but rather because it functions as one of a set of features which appear in a specific type of narrative and is therefore governed by norms of interaction which constrain the social behavior involved in the recounting of such narratives. The fact that the use of the conversational historical present is an interactional variable in this respect has had important theoretical and methodological implications for the analysis which is reported here. The basic theoretical point is that in the study of the conversational historical present one sees a perfect example of the relationship between linguistic structure and language use.

This research aims at finding out whether or not EGRA method can improve students mastery of passive voice in one of Public Senior High Schools in Kuningan. A quasi-experimental design was employed in this research to test the objective theories by examining the relationship between two variables. Pre-test, post-test, and questionnaire were used to collect the data. The data were then analyzed by using SPSS 20.0. Before conducting pre- and post-test, the tests were tried out to check its validity and reliability. From 60 items, it was found that 40 items were valid and reliable because the items correlation coefficient (rxy) were higher than rtable and their Cronbach Alpha were higher than 0.07, so the researcher used them as pretest and posttest instruments. The t-test result was 0.000 which means that it was lower than 0.05 (0.000<0.05) so that the null hypothesis is rejected and alternative hypothesis is accepted. Then, the mean score of pre-test and post-test in experimental group were significantly different (55.77 up to 81.79). To confirm the result of this research, questionnaires were used. From the questionnaire, it was found that in affective aspects, 58.9%, 64.1% and 53.8% of the students agreed with the use of EGRA method. In behavioral aspects, 33.3%, 56.4% and 43.5% of the students agreed with the use of EGRA method. While in cognitive aspects, 56.4%, 56.4%, 51.2% and 58.9% of the students agreed with the use of EGRA method. So, it can be concluded that EGRA method can improve students mastery of passive voice. Keywords: EGRA method, passive voice, students

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the smart egg puzzle game on the social behavior of early childhood. This research was conducted in TK intan Berlian Lamongan with a total sample of 35 children. This study uses a quantitative approach. The research design in this study uses a quasi-experimental research design, where this design has a control group but does not fully function to control external variables that affect the implementation of the experiment. In this study, a nonequivalent control group design was used, where the experimental group and the control group were not chosen randomly. The indicators of this research are being cooperative, expressing emotions according to existing conditions and sharing with others. The results showed that the smart egg puzzle game had a significant effect on understanding the concept of geometry and social behavior in children aged 5-6 years at Intan Berlian Kindergarten. The t-test proves that the value of sig. Levene's Test for Equality of Variances is 0.221, greater than 0.05, it means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the short-term impact of a smoking curriculum for children in grades 4 and 6, the age just prior to which many children begin to smoke. Students in four grade 4 and four grade 6 classrooms were pre-tested concerning their knowledge about the relationship between cigarette smoking and health, their attitudes toward smoking and their current smoking behavior. Half of the classrooms from each grade were subsequently exposed to a smoking awareness program by the teacher. The remaining students were not systematically exposed to smoking education material. All children were then post-tested, using the same questionnaire that had been used in the pre-test. Grade 4 children were less likely to have tried cigarettes than grade 6 children. Although all children had negative attitudes toward smoking, grade 4 children were significantly more negative than grade 6 children. The attitudes of the experimental group tended to become less negative while the control group's attitude remained constant. The experimental group improved more in knowledge than the control group with grade 6 children making a greater gain from pre- to post-test than did the grade 4 children. The absolute gains in knowledge scores were, however, relatively small, indicating the need for further modifications in the curriculum material.

In this chapter the impact of using a leaning management system (LMS) to manage homework assignments on students' achievement in a letter writing course was investigated. Additionally, the relationship between students' attitudes toward the online system and their motivated strategies for learning was investigated. Two groups of students participated in the course. The experimental group used the LMS as the homework assistance to submit their homework for one semester. The control group did and delivered their homework using paper-and-pencil approach. The result of the data analysis revealed that the experimental group outperformed the control group in the writing post-test. Further, the students were found to have positive attitudes toward using technology to manage their homework and this attitude was found to be related to their motivated strategies for learning. The motivated strategies were found to be related to achievement in writing, while attitudes towards the system were not.

A system for the assessment of traits characterizing the social interaction of patients in the family setting has been briefly described. This system attempts to measure the relationship between the patient and the relaive who is being interviewed concerning the patient's behavior. Using a method of coding to evaluate the respondent's answers to various open-ended questions, we are able to delineate those characteristics of the patient's behavior which are most salient to the relative and most indicative of the relationship between the relative and the patient. This system is presently being used to study the behavior of schizophrenic outpatients in a clinic setting in which the primary method of treatment is ataractic therapy. It is assumed that for psychiatric outpatients changes in their social relationships at home are as important as changes in their mental status. The social traits are being used both as predictors of change in the patient's behavior and as indices measuring the effects of treatment on social behavior. At present, we are gathering data which indicates that the social traits are reliable and valid scales, and that they are useful in the study of schizophrenic outpatients.

The study investigated the relationship between reading and writing with Grade Five learners.  The objective of the study was to investigate whether extensive reading and practice in writing enhance learners’ reading and writing skills. The sample for the study consisted of eighty Grade Five learners at a school in an informal settlement in Windhoek. The methods used were questionnaire and case study surveys, and a quasi-experiment. A questionnaire survey and a pre-test administered to both groups were followed by intervention. Qualitative data were gathered means of a case study, while quantitative data were gathered by means of the pre-rest post-test experiment. Analysis of the post-test results indicated that the sessions of pleasure reading and practice in writing improved reading and writing scores for the experimental group.  Also, the survey data gained from the experimental group indicated an increase in enjoyment of, interest in, and a positive attitude towards reading.

In the current empirical research, the researchers aimed to prepare a scale and program on rapid reading and its impact on understanding and increasing the number of words as it went (Tony Buzan, 2011 - 2018). The program was based on a sample consisting of (14) equal female students in terms of age, sex, social status and level of education, as one experimental group of students of the internal section (18) at the University of Salahaddin - Erbil. The importance of the current empirical research is that reading fast teaches students to learn new ways of reading and understanding and increasing the number of words, and left the previous misconceptions in reading and understanding, which we learned from childhood in schools, where it was an obstacle to reading fast and understanding and increase the number of words and benefit from the effort and time as well. The accuracy of the visual reliability and the stability of the method test and re-test were verified. The apparent of the visual reliability was 100% and the stability coefficient was 91%. The pre-test was carried out on the experimental group and the program was applied to them and then the post-test was performed on them. Statistical analysis of the social sciences (Spss) showed the results: 1. Prepare a rapid reading program 2. There is a statistically significant difference between the arithmetic mean value of the pre- test and the post-test, in favor for the post-test in degree of freedom (26) at the level of statistical significance (0.001) This means that the independent variable (Quick Reading Program) has an effective effect on the dependent variables (understanding and increasing the number of words). In the light of the results, the researchers presented some recommendations and suggestions.
