Purpose: The purpose of the study was to assess the influence of transport and fleet rationalization on performance of state corporations Kenya. Methodology: Descriptive research design was adopted because it allowed an in-depth study of the subject. The target population was all the 187 state corporations in Kenya. Questionnaires were administered to collect qualitative and quantitative data from a sample of 127 heads of transport and logistics department among state corporations operating in Kenya, who were selected using simple random sampling, from the four strata. Questionnaires were used to collect data. The questionnaires were tested for validity and reliability using 10% of the total sample respondents. Data was analyzed through descriptive statistical methods such as means, standard deviation, frequencies and percentage. Inferential analyses were used in relation to correlation analysis and regression analysis to test the relationship between the four explanatory variables and the explained variable. Multiple regression models were used to show the relationship between the predicted variable and the predictor variables. The data generated was keyed in and analyzed by use of Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21 to generate information which was presented using charts, frequencies and percentages. Results and conclusion: The response rate of the study was 76%. R square value of 0.715 means that 71.5% of the corresponding variation in performance of state corporations in Kenya can be explained or predicted by (logistics information management, consignment management, distributor base management, transit management) which indicated that the model fitted the study data. The results of regression analysis revealed that there was a significant positive relationship between dependent variable and independent variable at (β = 0.715), p=0.000 <0.05). The findings of the study concluded that logistics information management, consignment management, distributor base management and transit management have a positive relationship with performance of state corporations in Kenya. Policy recommendation: The study recommended that state corporations should embrace transport and fleet rationalization aspects so as to improve performance and further researches should to be carried out in other firms to find out if the same results can be obtained.

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between religious orientation, emotion regulation, and resilience of first-year theological students. The total sample used in this study was 59 first-year theological students at a theological college in Indonesia. The results show a statistically significant positive relationship between religious orientation, emotion regulation, and resilience. The results also show that the effective contribution of emotion regulation is higher than the religious orientation towards resilience. These results indicate the importance of emotional regulation training and religious orientation education to develop resilience in the lives of first-year theological students.

This research aims to determine the relationship between balanced and the ability to dribble, the relationship between eye-foot coordination and the ability to dribble, and the relationship between balanced and eye-foot coordination on the ability todribble in futsal game Karsa Utama Putri Wajo’s club. The research was correlational research, with the independent variable was balanced and eye-foot coordination, while the dependent variable was the ability to dribble. The population of theresearch was Karsa Utama Putri Wajo's club players and the sampling technique used was total sampling technique with the total sample was 25 players. The analysis technique used was descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis. The results showed that 1)There was a significant relationship between balanced and the ability to dribble in Karsa Utama Putri Wajo's club players with a correlation value (r) = 0,738. 2) There was asignificant relationship between eye-foot coordination on the ability to dribble in Karsa Utama Putri Wajo's club players with a correlation value (r) = 0,553. 3) There was asignificant relationship between balanced and eye-foot coordination on the ability to dribble in Karsa Utama Putri Wajo's club player swith a correlation value (r)=0.823,and a coefficient of determination (R2) = 0.677 or equal to 67,7%. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between balanced and coordination of the ankle son the ability to dribble in futsal game of Karsa Utama Putri Wajo's club.

This research aims to determine the relationship between psychological and demographic factors, which are dispositional optimism, and self-efficacy are the psychological factors, meanwhile home, sex and ethnicity as the demographic factors of quality of life in the older adults. The major hypothesis of this research proposed that there are positive relationship from both psychological factors and demographic factors to the quality of life in older adults. This study involved 53 older adult peoples. The result of multiple regression analysis shows that there is a positive relationship from all five variables to the quality of life in older adults as big as 76,5% (Adjusted R2= 0,765). This result means that both the psychological and demographic factors do have effective contributions to the quality of life in older adult people. The results of t-tests are also discussed.

The objective of this study is to examine the relationship between changes of    performance and changes of compensation of board commissioners and board of directors. In contrast to previous research, this study compare the relationship on conventional banking  and Islamic banking in Indonesia. The samples of this research are conventional and Islamic banking between periode 2011-2015. Data in this study were obtained from financial statements. Regression analysis will be employed to answer the research questions. The result showed that there is a positive relationship between changes of performance and compensation. However, there is no difference the relationship of performance and compensation on the conventional and Islamic banking. This study supported the agency theory, but it does not support the stewardship theory.

Purpose: The study sought to establish the influence of contract management on performance of public hospitals in Nairobi City County, Kenya.Methodology: This study employed descriptive research design. The study reviewed both theoretical and empirical literature and then proposed the research methodology that addressed the gaps identified in literature as well as to validate the statistical hypotheses. The researcher preferred this method because it allows an in-depth study of the subject. The study population was all public hospitals in Kenya. To gather data, structured questionnaire was used to collect data from 76 staff in procurement, administration and finance departments from the four largest public hospitals in Nairobi County; Kenyatta National Hospital, Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital, Mbagathi District Hospital and Pumwani Maternity. The target population was all public hospitals in Nairobi City County. The target population was first stratified then using simple random sampling among the four strata, select the samples. The study combined two methods in its data collection that is, questionnaires and key informant interviews. After data collection, quantitative data was coded using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 20. Data was analyzed through descriptive statistical methods such as means, standard deviation, frequencies and percentage. Inferential analysis was used in relation to correlation analysis and regression analysis to test the relationship between the four explanatory variables and the explained variable.Findings: R square value of 0.647 means that 64.7% of the corresponding variation in performance of public hospitals in Kenya can be explained or predicted by (contract planning, monitoring and evaluation, contractor relationship management and dispute resolution) which indicated that the model fitted the study data. The results of regression analysis revealed that there was a significant positive relationship between dependent variable and independent variable at (β = 0.647), p=0.000 <0.05). The findings of the study concluded that contract planning, monitoring and evaluation, contractor relationship management, dispute resolution have a positive relationship with performance of public hospitals in Kenya.Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: The study recommended that public institutions should embrace contract management practices so as to improve performance and further researches should to be carried out in other public institutions to find out if the same results can be obtained.

Building on previous research relating to entrepreneurship, empowerment and self-employment, this article investigates the relationship between entrepreneurial empowerment, entrepreneurial self-efficacy and self-employment. These constructs are formulated into distinct factors and a sample of undergraduate students (N = 112) early in their careers surveyed to establish the structure formed by these factors. These instruments are tested and shown to provide robust scales able to ensure construct validity and reliability. Multiple correlational and multiple regression analysis are then conducted to test the relationships between the specified variables, with results indicating almost unequivocal support for the hypothesised associations between entrepreneurial empowerment and reasons for business start-up. In particular the “risk-taking” factor is found to have great predictive power on various reasons provided for business start-up is analysed. Several practical and theoretical implications are drawn from the empirical results and integrated with established conceptual findings.

Purpose This paper aims to examine whether employability activities are driven by employee learning motives and their perception of learning opportunities. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected using a closed questionnaire survey from three different profit organizations (N = 405). Hypotheses were tested through hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Findings Hierarchical regressions showed that the learning motive “personal development” had a positive relationship with “perceived learning opportunities” and “employability activities,” as hypothesized. “Perceived learning opportunities” did not mediate the relationship between the learning motive “personal development” and “employability activities.” No relationships were found among the learning motives “social pressure,” “perceived learning opportunities” and “employability activities”. Originality Value This study is among the first to investigate the motives that employees must engage in individual learning paths. It attempts to predict their self-reported employability activities based on these motives and on the learning opportunities that employees perceive.

The study investigated the influence of learners’ participation in athletic activitieson academic performance of students in secondary school Uasin Gishu County. The study was grounded on Astin’s theory of involvement, whichasserts that students learn more when they are involved in both academic and social aspects of the collegiate experience. The study employed both quantitative and qualitative research process with a target population being students and teachers of Uasin Gishu County. Sample of 378 was calculated with aid Krecie &amp; Morgan sample table and sample was arrived at through stratified sampling on secondary schools and simple random sampling on selected secondary schools whose students were picked without bias. Tools for data collection included questionnaire, in-depth interview and review of literature. The tools were calibrated on validity and reliability through expert check and Chronbach’s Alpha Coefficient, which was 0.76, which was fair enough for utility of the questionnaires.The achieved data was analyzed based on confidence level of 95%and person correlation coefficient and using descriptive statisticsthat included frequencies, standard deviation and mean. The analysis was carried out with help of SPSS program. The finding indicated that participation in athletic activities has potential to positively influence students’ academic performance (R=0.632; p&lt;0.05). Athletics participationstimulates fine and gross motor growth, learner concentration and cognitive development. The finding suggests that schools need to create a conducive environment for participation in athletics and encourage the students to participate in order to enhance their performance.

This study aimed to determine the Correlation and the regression equation between body measurements and body weight of Brahman Cross (BX) Cow in KPT Maju Sejahtera Trimulyo village, Tanjung Bintang District, Lampung Selatan Regency. This research was conducted in July 2020. The data obtained were analyzed using simple and multiple regression analysis using the help of the Excel program. The material used in this study were 32 Brahman Cross (BX) Cow aged 2-3 years. The results of this study indicated that the average of Body Weight (BW), Chest Circumference (CC), Body Length (BL), and Shoulder height (SH) were 472.66 � 53.59 kg, 179.95 � 7, 95 cm, 132.49 � 6.39 cm, 127.95 � 3.08 cm, respectively. The correlation value between CC, BL, SH with BB were 0.764, 0.448, and 0.551, respectively. These results indicated that CC, BL, SH, have a positive relationship with BW. The regression equation resulting from the relationship between body weight and body size CC, BL, SH to BW with the value of determination (R2) and significance (P?0.05) was 0.607 (60.7%) with the regression equation BW = -674.003 + 4.314 CC + 1.247 BL + 1.602 SH. Background: One of the efforts that have been carried out by the Ministry of Health in supporting the acceleration of MMR reduction is optimizing PONED. Apart from being poned, the use of the MCH Handbook is one way of maintaining health and obtaining quality maternal and child health services. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of training on the optimization of the use of the MCH book on the attitudes of the PONED midwives in completing the MCH booklet filling by village midwives in the working area of ​​the Paser District Health Center.  Methods: A Quantitative research method uses Quasy Experiment nonequivalent control group design. By involving 1 control group and 1 treatment group with a total sample size of 43 midwives in each group, using simple random sampling. Data analysis using Wilcoxon. Instrument that use can measure attitudes of midwives with good validity and reliability. Results: The results showed that there were significant differences in attitudes before and after treatment with a p-value of 0,000, but the mean value of attitudes before and after showed that training could not change the attitudes of midwives. The training held is not sufficient to change the attitude of midwives in compliance with the filling of the MCH handbook. Conclusion: It needs further and intense training for all PONED and non-PONED midwives and further identification is needed about things that can motivate the attitudes of midwives to improve poned midwives towards the implementation of optimization MCH books.
