The tertiary education institutions in Malaysia are facing increasing demands from employers and stakeholders to ensure the graduates to be equipped with relevant skillset needed to secure a placement in the industry. The question arises, what are the skillsets required by employers contribute to the research gap which led to a comprehensive understanding on the expectation of employers towards the graduate’s employability. This study determined the employers' perspective skills by referring to five (5) field of employment consist of Developer, Contractor, Consultant, Supplier and Entrepreneur which consume of 57 (38%) respondents from 150 questionnaires distributed both on-site and on-line survey using random sampling technique. The content was referred on the program offered by Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). An exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was conducted using six (6) main categories of courses on hard skill to achieve the objective one and seven (7) soft skills to accomplish objective two. The finding indicates Project Management, Measurement and Estimating and Legal Study knowledge of hard skill critically required, whilst, interpersonal and communication soft skill is crucially needed. Those skills reveal as the fundamental knowledge in handling a construction works. In summary, this study able to facilitate the gap between graduates’ skills and employers’ expectation by providing a sufficient guidance platform referring to the respective field of employment as well as provides a significance implication to the educational institutions to align the program outcome toward the needs of the industry.Keywords: employability, forecast, graduates, employer

AbstractThis article examined sanitation behaviour among students’ of tertiary education institutions in southwest Nigeria. The study surveyed the behaviour of the students in the residential hostels across gender differences. A total of 125 students were selected for the survey using a systematic sampling technique. The study revealed that the majority 194 (96.8%) were below 28 years of age. Findings revealed that the number of occupants in a student room was higher than the number of students allocated to the room. Due to overpopulation in rooms within the hostels, the available sanitary installations are overstretched. The study found that the average per capita use of toilets and bathrooms in male and female hostels was 27 and 21 students respectively. The study reports on poor sanitation behaviour among the students in terms of washing of hands after defecation, hand cleaning materials used by the student after using the toilet, flushing the toilet after use, sanitary alternatives when the toilet is in a bad condition and cleaning of students’ rooms. It recommends a mind-set reorientation for the students about adequate sanitary behaviour through effective sanitation education and provision of adequate sanitary amenities to cater for the students residing in the hostels. The findings of this study will have implications for effective policy making on sanitation behaviour among students in tertiary education institutions with a similar background.

There are a large number of problems that girl student’s face for developing their career potential. Some of the serious problems are as Follows: -Problems related to Home, Educational Institutions, Society, Economic problems, Educational problems. Rural girls belong to disable as per the data, Girl dropout ratio has increase with the enhanced pattern of gender inequality in access to education, which seems to be attainment and from urban to rural and to disadvantaged group in the society.Gender equality and the empowerment of women are gaining ground worldwide. There are more women Heads of state (or) Government then ever and the highest proportion of women serving as government ministers women are excursing ever-greater influence in business. More girls are going to school, and are growing up healthier and better equipped to realize their potential. Girl student’s suffer in many case, both form discrimination and from inequality treatment. It is easy to imagine that the difficulties encountered by rural girl students in obtaining higher education. Providing access to local relevant high-qualities education and training opportunities in critical to retaining rural girl students in Higher Educational Institutions.

AbstractEmbracing tertiary education system represents the beginning of a transition and adjustment period for several students. Most of these have just finished high school where the environment is strictly defined, controlled, stable and attendance is mandatory. Higher Education changes the role of students’ responsibility and this can cause stress and difficulty in the transition to self-directed learning and autonomy promotion. The purpose of this paper is to present an Erasmus+ project that brought together six Higher Education Institutions from different European countries and to describe its current stage. This project aims to develop a shared understanding of engineering mathematics at an early stage of tertiary education and to raise awareness of cultural, professional and educational issues. The initial focus of the work is on the partners’ mutual interest in active learning, particularly the application of Information and Communication Technology in the field of engineering education. When finalised, the project hopes to provide students with a new authentic engineering mathematics subject which meets their needs. This is also the core reason why the on-line course will be composed using innovative pedagogics and ICT tools, as appropriate pedagogics supports students’ procedural, conceptual and application understanding in mathematics and enhances digital competencies, literacy and skills.

O boom da internet nos últimos anos levou a sociedade a utilizar novas formas de comunicação. Seus usuários passaram de meros espectadores a produtores de conteúdo. Esta produção de conteúdo leva a uma evolução lógica dos métodos tradicionais de pesquisa, tanto no âmbito empresarial como nas instituições de ensino. Neste cenário, surge o método netnográfico ou, Netnografia. Esta nova ferramenta, focada na pesquisa online, e que favorece a coleta de informações on-line. This study investigated the leadership styles of principals in public Colleges of Education (CoEs) in Ghana based on the setting, zone and location of the colleges. The quantitative method of the cross-sectional survey design was adopted for the study. The census sampling technique was employed to obtain 38 principals for the study. The Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) by Bass and Avolio (2004) was adapted to collect data from the principals. Means, standard deviation, t-test and ANOVA were utilised in analysing the data. The descriptive analysis established that generally, principals of public CoEs in Ghana mostly used transformational leadership style as compared to transactional and laissez-faire leadership styles. The inferential analyses also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in the leadership styles of the principals based on setting, zone and location of the colleges. Among the recommendations is that the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), formerly known as the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), should consider competence when selecting and appointing principals and not the setting, zone and location of public CoEs because generally, these variables did not statistically significantly determine the leadership styles adopted by the principals.

Website management is one of the new task in Public Relations On The Net era. Public Relations in educational institutions also do website management activities one of them is Public Relations of SMAN 31 Jakarta. In this research discusses about website www.sman31jakarta.sch.id management. This website management got complaints from students of SMAN 31 Jakarta about lack of academic activities information on website. So, the author want to see how the website management in educational institutions about lack of academic activities information on website www.sman31jakarta.sch.id? In this research, the author use the concept of Public Relations On The Net with variable website management. This variable has six dimensions such as the links must be online, available contact information, arrangement of information placement, coloring, easy to use and aims. This research use quantitative approach with descriptive research type and use survey method. The research held at SMAN 31 Jakarta. Author use a questionnaire with interval scales. Populations in this research are 1.067 students, and the samples are 234 students of SMAN 31 Jakarta obtained from the formula slovin. The sampling technique is stratified sampling and central tendency is mean. Validity test use KMO-MSA (Kaiser mayer olkin-measure of sampling adequany) and Barlett Test. Reliability test use Chronbach’s Alpha. In this research, there is a dimension with the highest mean which is coloring (use of color). The dimensions are obtained the lowest mean value is every link offered must be online (no dead links). Indicator with the highest mean value is using colors that facilitate the content of messages in the website screen easy to read. Indicator with the lowest mean value is does not disappointed the user This is because of the website visitors do not get complete information on the website www.sman31jakarta.sch.id. Based on the results of this research can be known website www.sman31jakarta.sch.id have been well in color selection which make it easier for website visitors. However, the website www.sman31jakarta.sch.id has not been maximized in providing information especially information about academic activities.

Abstract The objective of the study was to translate, adapt and validate the Urdu version of Adult Temperament scale (ATS). In the current study the cross sectional study design was used. The study was conducted at both private and government educational institutions, residential, and occupational settings of district of different cities like Gujranwala, Gujrat, Jhelum, Sialkot, Rawalpindi and Wazirabad. The data was collected from adults using convenient sampling technique. Firstly, the translation of Adult Temperament scale was conducted in International language. The forward-backward translation method was used for translation which was followed by expert panel evaluation, linguistic and conceptual verification of measure and then a final translated version was finalized. Further, test-retest administration was used for field administration of these items over 250 adults by self-administration of questionnaires. For measuring psychometric properties, the scale was again administered on a sample of 300 participants. Moreover, for validation sample of 150 adults were selected by convenient sampling technique. The data was analysed with correlation, confirmatory factor analysis and reliability test. The results showed the correlation of test-retest administration in between .310 to .865 of the 26 items. The model fit summary of CFA showed a CFI of .905 p-value of .00 that is less than .05 so it confirmed the structure of the questions and their relations to the subscales were confirmed. The reliability of the subscales: choleric .970, sanguine .943, phlegmatic .744, and melancholic .766 and divergent validity was also confirmed using BFI-10. Finally, the translated English version of scale with 26 items was found reliable and valid at the end of analysis.

Education tourism, despite being existed for several hundred years, has only recently been recognised as an independent sector worth studying. In today's globalisation era, knowledge is increasingly a commodity that moves between countries. Korean society adapts the globalization era, which is gradually narrowing the interval between countries around the world. The current study was aimed to explore factors that attracts students from Korea to Malaysian universities. Data were obtained from nine private educational institutions in March-August 2019. In the current study, 300 questionnaires were distributed by applying the unbiased sample and the non-probability convenience sampling technique. The results of the study confirm that higher quality education program, affordable tuition fees, and a higher standard environment are the key motivational factors attracting Korean students to study in Malaysia. This study proposes important implications for policymakers, institutional staffs, and other relevant stakeholders in prioritising action to position themselves in the market effectively.
