Explaining, Cultural, Educational and Social Needs of Faculty Members of Farhangiyan University - According to the Predetermined Goals of Education’s Fundamental Transformation Document

The present work is an applied and descriptive analysis survey method. Mixed techniques were applied. The Sample population in the qualitative section of the research consists of 19 thinkers; they were selected by purposeful sampling. The sample population was constituted by 181 faculty members of Farhangiyan Universities in six provinces. 150 of them were randomly selected. Research data was gathered by semi-structured interview and the researcher made the needed questionnaire. The most significant educational needs are:religious needs with emphasis on Islamic training and ethical, cultural and social needs which are discussed in four sub - categories:Cultural, Social, Ethical, Political. Quantitative results indicated that the need of such teachings is higher than intermediate level stated below. The most important need of faculty members in the cultural field is “being aware of the role of the university teachers about preserving, transferring, correcting and recreating culture”and their most important need as regards religious teaching is “the ability to use educational methods obtained from the Qoran and Nahjolbalaghe”( book of religious teachings).

The graduates of Jazan University (Saudi Arabia), like anywhere else in EFL or ESL settings, require effective oral communication skills in English language for a highly competitive and expanding market economy of the country, and the worldwide too. The study was taken to evaluate the students’ perceptions about the need of speaking skills and the urgency to participate in language enhancement activities keeping in view the generally unsatisfactory position of the Saudi students in speaking English language. The sample population for this research was taken from three colleges, i.e. the first grade students from Engineering, Business and Computer Science of this university. A survey method technique was adopted in which data was obtained using a structured questionnaire about students’ responses on multiple items indicating their understanding of the importance of speaking skills, their existing level of oral communication and the need to participate in the extra coaching programs offered by the university. The quantitative data were analyzed by using SPSS 17. The data shows the participants’ understanding of the importance of communication skills for social needs, personality development, attaining and survival in the job market, and their needs for attending extra language training sessions other than their normal routine courses.

<p class="apa">The aim of this research is to analyze opinions of teachers who work in preschool education institutions concerning precautions that should be taken for indoor and outdoor security. Study group of this research is determined by criterion sampling from purposeful sampling techniques. The study group of this research is consist of eight preschool teachers who work in four private and four public schools in Kocaeli İzmit district in the fall semester of 2013-2014 Academic Year. For the purpose of the research, data are collected with semi-structured interview technique. During the research, the interviews are recorded with tape recorder and the interviews are put down on paper then analyzed. After the recorded data are submitted to approval of participants, the analysis of the data has started. Date are analyzed with descriptive analysis method and coded then interpreted. In order to ensure validity of the research, the data are tried to be analyzed with direct quotes of the participants. Research findings show that the most important risk factors are caused by defective design of schools. Research results also show that schools have not only indoor security problems such as stairs and door but also external security problems such as garden and playgrounds.</p>

While much has been written on the concept and development of learner autonomy, limited studies have investigated the perceptions and classroom practices of teachers in fostering learner autonomy. This paper sets out to examine what teachers think about learner autonomy as well as the strategies they use to develop autonomous learners in a university setting using a qualitative approach. Five English teachers were selected using purposive sampling and a semi-structured interview was conducted with each of them to obtain in-depth data on their perceptions and teaching practices revolving around autonomous learning. The findings revealed that although university teachers possessed a fair understanding of what learner autonomy involves, there was a lack of focus in terms of developing learner autonomy in the classroom due to a number of challenges such as lack of teacher readiness, passive student attitude as well as the relevance and timing of English courses within the university curriculum.Keywords: Learner autonomy, Teacher perception, Teaching practices, English classrooms

Tourism plays a vital role in getting to know and understand each other. In this regard, the main purpose of this research chapter is to understand the relationship between tourism and attitude change and the factors affecting this relationship. Firstly, the role of tourism in changing attitudes is discussed within the framework of Allport's Contact Hypothesis, and then qualitative research results are given. The phenomenology research design was used in the research, and the interview method was preferred in obtaining data. Six open-ended questions were asked to 12 tourists, who came to Şırnak, determined by the purposeful sampling method, with a semi-structured interview form. The answers given by the participants were determined by the descriptive analysis method. The research reveals that tourism is critical in eliminating problems between societies, opening social communication channels, reducing prejudices, and making existing attitudes more positive.

The study aimed to measure the degree of organizational loyalty among faculty members at Kuwait University. The study used analytical descriptive survey method, and developed a questionnaire comprising (20) items which was administered to a sample comprising (183) faculty members. The study revealed that the degree of organizational loyalty is medium with a mean (3.01). Also, the study revealed no statistically significant differences among the respondents due to the study variables: gender, nationality, age, years of experience, type of college, and academic rank. In the light of these results, the study provided a number of practical recommendations and suggestions for further studies, i.e. instilling the spirit of teamwork and responsibility towards the university and nation, evaluating the performance of faculty members, promoting organizational loyalty by holding training courses, deepening religious awareness, paying more attention to factors that regulate work environment, conducting similar studies in other institutions, and other studies to reveal the relationship of organizational loyalty with personal characteristics, job satisfaction, and organizational justice.

This study aimed to evaluate modern teaching methods applied by the staff at the University of Hail during the COVID-19 pandemic to identify the most important causes, needs, and barriers from their perspective. Also, the study aimed to reveal individual differences (gender, academic rank, or experience) of statistical significance in the staff’s degree of use. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used descriptive analysis on a sample of 164 faculty members. The researcher designed a five-axis questionnaire. The results indicated the importance of e-training when using modern teaching methods. Also, it was clear that the research sample uses MTM to some extent, and the use of modern teaching strategies was found to be moderate. Gender, academic rank, years of experience in the field of university education, and academic specialization did not affect training needs. In addition, the results showed that the most important reason for using MTM during the COVID-19 pandemic was “Mastery of how to use it.”

The aim of the research is to empirical evaluate the effect of organizational formal control and workgroup norms on the deviant workplace behavior of the university faculty members of Pakistan. It further investigates the moderating effect of self-regularity efficacy. The study is primary in nature and used survey method to collect the responses from the teaching faculty of Pakistan. A total of 168 suitable responses were analyzed by using SMART PLS version 3 (Licensed). A PLS-SEM was used for analysis of the collected data. The result showed that when employees find themselves in under the influence of reference others, self-regulatory efficacy help them to attain compliance with significant organizational norms and doing that keep them away from involving in deviant workplace behaviors. Additionally, the results suggest that self-regularity efficacy have a significant part in regulating behaviors and observance   to   right   self-sanctions   for flawed behavior.

Teachers’ belief, attitude and experience of peer observation considerably affect their willingness to observe their colleagues or be observed by other faculty members. Peer observation is regarded as a sensitive practice in many higher educational institutions due to its overshadowed values and teachers’ intimidation of being judged by their colleagues. This study reveals how peer observation is perceived and employed by university teachers examining their attitude towards the process. Data was collected based on a quantitative method; a survey questionnaire was distributed among 230 teachers of local and international universities in Uzbekistan. The findings show that most teachers treat peer observation as a compulsory part of the annual workload (appraisal). Based on the results, the researchers provide recommendations for educators to benefit from this vital tool to improve their teaching skills.

This research determines the role of the Organizational Environment in reducing the effects of the Techno-Stress on Work Behavior of the University Teachers. The quantitative research method was followed whereas descriptive research design for being the most befitting in these kinds of investigations was opted for reaching certain findings and drawing the conclusions. The study was conducted on 394 university teachers appointed in various public sector Universities situated in the province of Punjab. A scheduled questionnaire built on a five-point Likert scale was used for gathering required data, whereas, in addition to descriptive analysis, inferential analysis of the collected data was done using t-test, correlation, and regression. Results of the study revealed that a significant correlation among the organizational environment and techno-stress prevails, whereas the analyzed data affirmed a significant effect of the techno-stress on the work behavior of the University Teachers.

The submitted paper deals with the issue of CLIL implementation at the Technical University in Zvolen, Slovakia, specifically with the CLIL teacher profile and the preparedness of the university teachers to apply CLIL into their teaching practice. The topic was selected due to the ever-increasing importance of English in everyday communication and for professional, academic, and scientific purposes. The nature of the research is qualitative; therefore, the SWOT analysis was used for analyzing the current state of teacher preparedness for CLIL implementation. The study was conducted using a sample of 15 university teachers teaching disciplinary subjects via a structured interview. The interviews were subsequently analyzed, considering three aspects of CLIL teacher profile: professional background and expertise, methodological preparedness, and language preparedness. Individual strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of implementing CLIL were established in the analysis. The results indicated a general lack of language and methodological preparedness of teachers. On the other hand, all interviewed teachers were eager to improve in the specific areas to teach using the CLIL methodology since they all acknowledged the importance of language knowledge. Nevertheless, students' insufficient level of language preparedness could be a threat to implementing the CLIL methodology, which could eventually discourage them from attending lectures and seminars where CLIL elements are applied.
