Dentistry is an entrepreneurially oriented public interest profession that must maintain a balance between professional specificity and business sustainability. Communicating with patients is vital in a competitive system, and the dentist needs to use handy resources such as websites and social media. The aim of this research is (a) to examine whether websites and social networks are a digital entrepreneurship tool used in the dentistry profession in Oradea, a city in full economic development in Romania, to promote the profession nationally and internationally, (b) to compare the changes made using digital tools in the period between 2018–2021 for all licensed dentists in the mentioned city (between 430–450 people, depending on the stage of analysis) using the content analysis method and (c) to identify how the lockdown period imposed by the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic influenced not only the sustainability of the medical services provided to the population but also the communication practices of the dental offices. The results of examining the dentist’s online presence reveal that there is an interest among practitioners to grow their business sustainably through a digital presence that is increasingly relevant to them and their clients, but the potential remains under-exploited.

This paper aims to investigate the trend of human resource disclosure (HRD) quality based on publicly disclosed annual reports of 235 Malaysian listed companies. The data was collected through content analysis method using HRD index. The results reveal that there is an increasing trend of HRD quality from 2010 to 2014.  However the significant increase is only between 2012 and 2013. This study provides empirical support for Institutional theory’s coercive isomorphism, through its findings on quality of HRD. This is because, the related disclosure regulations and the Malaysian government policy through Malaysia Plan may have significantly influenced firms to increase HRD quality in their annual reports.

Social media has become an indispensable part of our lives in recent days, in which a new concept has emerged. This concept is Digital Literacy. We can define digital literacy as the ability to produce information using digital technologies. Digital literacy skills are among the most important skills that individuals should have in our age. Today, children are introduced to digital tools and started to use, before learning, to read and write. According to the researches, teachers and/or academics are not able to keep up with this digital progress of the new generation, but they fall behind. In this context, teachers and/or academics are expected to use digital tools effectively and have digital literacy skills in order to keep up with the digital transformation. The aim of this study is to apply the opinions of academicians about the concept of digital literacy which is rapidly entering our lives and to reveal the level of awareness about the related concept. Phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. Phenomenology is a research design that is used to reveal cases that we are aware of but we do not have in-depth knowledge of it. For research purposes, the sample of the research consists of 10 academicians working as lecturers in various departments with a Vocational School of Technical Sciences of a university in Turkey. As a data collection tool, Semi-Structured Interview Form on Digital Literacy developed by Kozan (2018) was used with the permission of the researcher. In the context of the conceptualisation of the collected data, the thematic content analysis method was used. At the end of the study, it was revealed that all of the academicians who are working in the study group are familiar with the concept of digital literacy and they are ready to participate in the training to be given to them by relevant institutions and organisations.   Keywords: Digital literacy, Academics, 0pinion, Phenomenology Study.

Abstract. This study aims to test the hypothesis that, as a public broadcasting institution that serves the public interest, non-commercial, and the majority of audiences are Muslim, the principle of qaulan sadidan has been widely adopted in TVRI news. Islam has provided a grand-theory for the study of communication and journalistic, namely qaulan sadidan. This principle was later recognized in the Western academic world as factuality, which is part of the news objectivity. By using the content analysis method on 146 news items from September 23, 2018 to March 29, 2019, this study found that the principle of qaulan sadidan has dominated the TVRI news although there are still news that do not yet contain elements of factuality. Many TVRI news articles are written containing 5W and 1H. This study also used interviews with senior journalist to confirm the data from the content analysis. The interviews found that management had not periodically socialized the relevance of Islamic values to journalistic practices, the element of the "when" was often not delivered in the news because of the editorial oversupply of news, not because of the lack of understanding on journalistic theory. This study offers some propositions that TVRI news includes factual and non-factual news, although it is dominated by factual news, experience as a journalist helps the adoption of qaulan sadidan values, and the completeness of the news is also determined by the news availability. This research is expected to contribute to the development of communication studies in an Islamic perspective.

This article employed a content analysis method utilizing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Clear Communication Index to evaluate the quality and reliability of 15 patient organization websites designed for patients to access information about COVID-19. The objective of this content analysis was to assess the clarity of online communication of information on COVID-19 by patient organizations by determining how well the websites score for clarity and identify ways to improve the websites. This study suggests that the patient organization websites that were analyzed are not adequately designed to communicate relevant information about COVID-19 in meaningful and effective ways. The findings from this study will help reveal major deficits in the communication of COVID-19 health information on patient organization websites, identify best practices and improvements that can be made to enhance communication, and build on existing literature regarding e-health literacy and clear communication on public health websites.

This study examines how the Romanian crowdfunding platform sprijina.ro is using social media, specifically Facebook, in order to create a dialogic context for consumers, as defined by the five dialogic principles issued by Kent and Taylor (1998). To determine if dialogic communica- tion was occurring between the organization and its followers, the content analysis method was applied to the Facebook page (posts, comments and reactions) of sprijina.ro crowdfunding platform over a 2 years span (2017– 2019). The study attempts to answer the question of whether Romanian crowdfunding platform sprijina.ro applies the principles of dialogic com- munication on their Facebook page. The results show that when applying the dialogic principles, the online audience become more engaged. Unfor- tunately, the majority of posts analyzed ask for money donation without taking into consideration public interest or trying to engage public in the online discussion. This type of communication reflects the lack of strategy in creating and maintaining a dialogic relationship with the online audi- ence through Facebook posts.
