Lanjut usia adalah populasi global yang jumlahnya setiap tahun mengalami peningkatan sehingga mengakibatkan tingginya risiko kejadian depresi di komunitas dengan prevalensi terendah 15%. Angka kejadian depresi pada lansia di Dinas Kesehatan Kota Kendari cukup tinggi namun hanya beberapa Puskesmas yang memiliki data khusus depresi. Keluarga dengan lansia yang mengalami depresi mempunyai kualitas hidup rendah dan beban perawatan yang tinggi. Keluarga sebagai care giver mengalami gangguan mental selama merawat lansia. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman keluarga dalam merawat lansia dengan depresi di wilayah kerja dinas kesehatan Kota Kendari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. dengan depresi.  Penelitian ini menghasilkan 3 tema yakni perasaan terkejut dan khawatir tentang kesehatan jiwa lansia yang berubah secara mendadak, setia merawat lansia tanpa bantuan orang lain, perasaan sedih dan iba terhadap kondisi lansia dengan depresi, Kondisi lansia dengan depresi menyebabkan penurunan kualitas hidup keluarga yang merawat lansia baik dari segi fisik, psikologi, sosial maupun finansial. Namun hal ini tetap dijalani dan diterima oleh keluarga sebagai bentuk dukungan biopsikososial demi kesembuhan lansia dengan depresi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini ialah didapatkan 1 tema inti yaitu partisipan menerima kondisi lansia dengan depresi, dengan harapan bahwa kondisi kesehatan jiwa lansia dengan depresi dapat membaik dan tingkat ketergantungan lansia kepada keluarga berkurang.

Usia lansia akan membuat individu mengalami kemunduran terutama di bidang kemampuan fisik, yang dapat mengakibatkan penurunan pada peran sosialnya. Selain itu dampak yang ditimbulkan untuk keluarga terutama care giver juga menjadi lebih besar. Care giver harus merawat lansia secara maksimal. Hal ini yang dapat menimbulkan berbagai macam persepsi yang berbeda pada masing-masing care giver. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengalaman Keluarga (Care Giver) Dalam Merawat Lansia Dengan Ketergantungan Pada Activity Daily Living. Desain penelitian ini adalah kualitatif yang mengunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Populasi dan partisipan adalah 3 orang care giver yang merawat lansia dengan ketergantungan activity daily living. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling. Analisa data menggunakan Analisis data pada pendekatan fenomenologi menggunakan metode analisis Collaizi. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa care giver masih merasa bertanggung jawab terhadap kesehatan lansia yang dirawatnya. Lansia yang mengalami ketergantungan akan lebih membutuhkan perhatian yang lebih baik dari segi tenaga, waktu dan biaya. Timbulnya persepsi dan keyakinan merawat lansia adalah tugas dan tanggung jawab seorang anak, meskipun terkadang merasa lelah fisik dan psikis.

Introduction: The role of nurses as caregivers given during the emergency room will continue to interact between nurses and patients. So that the relationship and interaction between nurse and patient will greatly determine the level of patient satisfaction. Methods: This study used a descriptive analytic method using a correlation research study with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were priority patients in emergency room RSAL Dr. Mintohardjo is based on the average monthly patient rate in 2019, namely 915 priority patients in the emergency room. The sampling technique in this study was carried out using the purposive sampling method. The sample needed is 90 respondents. Results: Based on the results of statistical tests with a value of P = 0.024, it means P <0.05 Discussion: There is a relationship between the role of the nurse as a care giver and the length of stay with the priority patient's family satisfaction in IGD RSAL Dr. Mintohardjo

La disabilità delinea uno spazio semantico dai confini labili, privo di definizione univoca e universale. Nell'essere socialmente costruita rimanda alle tre dimensioni del potere proposte da Arendt: privato, politico e sociale. Questo lavoro si focalizza sulla dimensione privata del-la costruzione della disabilità all'interno delle interazioni tra care giver/familiari ed educato-ri. L'analisi riguarda un progetto nazionale per la promozione di percorsi di autonomia di cinquantadue persone con disabilità all'interno di tredici organizzazioni, in dodici regioni italiane. La discourse analyis è applicata ai dati raccolti in un focus group realizzato tra i rappresentanti delle organizzazioni coinvolte nei processi di autonomia. Lo studio mette in luce la presenza di una violenza epistemica da parte sia dei familiari/care giver che degli educatori nei confronti delle persone disabile caratterizzata da processi di infantilizzazione. Il tema della costruzione a livello privato della disabilità necessita però di essere messo in rela-zione con la dimensione del contesto istituzionale delle politiche di welfare familistico. Pone infine l'attenzione sul diritto delle persone disabili a superare il silenzio al quale la violenza epistemica li relega, generata da una ignoranza perniciosa che ne definisce la subalternità.

Providing care to the sick is not an obligation but a duty that is bound with human connectedness to each other. Palliative care picks up the strings along with curative treatment to try and provide a comfortable death. Palliative care is provided after a complete assessment is done on the symptoms and the stage of the disease and the condition of the patient. This discipline works not in isolation but with the patient’s family or care giver. The family becomes a part of providing treatment to the patient and they are also given emotional and mental support.

The present study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the current Early Childhood Education (ECE) Program regarding the facilities provided in Public Schools of Punjab. The study was quantitative in nature. Eleven districts out of fourteen districts of central Punjab were selected randomly. A self-developed checklist was deployed to collect data from public ECE schools of Punjab through a convenient sampling technique. The reliability of the checklist was measured through the pilot study with the Cronbach alpha value of 0.78.  Quantitative data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. Results of this study indicated that there was a shortage of separate allocated ECE rooms, trained ECE teachers, Care-giver, ECE kits, learning corners, the teacher-made toys, portfolios, and furnished playgrounds. The results of this study further revealed that on average the enrollment and retention rate of katchi in the year 2018 is higher than the enrollment and retention rate in katchi of the year 2013. This study was a comprehensive report about the ECE program in Punjab which will be very useful and informative for policymakers, administration of the Quaid-Azam academy for education development, Punjab to modify the program according to the need for achieving goals as well as researchers.

Intellectually challenged children needs lot of effort to put things together and builds meaning in order to operate well in the environment. Low cognitive abilities becomes restrictive and thus develops either dependency on the care giver or negative behaviors among children. The current study aims to evaluate the fact that whether an effective structured teaching method, based on the components of TEACCH programme for Autism Spectrum Disorder can bring the same sense of independence and positive behaviors, as with children with other intellectually challenged children or not. For this a sample of 23 intellectually challenged children with different intellectual level and diagnoses other than ASD were evaluated on few standard structured components based on TEACCH methodology, on tasks which they have already mastered when presented in practice area i.e. independent work station. The present study indicates that previously students were becoming prompt dependent but after the introduction of structured teaching, they can function well independently. Some other aspects were also being noticed which can open areas of further research.
