This article proposes some potential contributions of contemporary art to industrial and technological heritage discussions. The paper analyses the relations among art, industrial ruins, technological trash, heritage, and society from an archaeological perspective, although this standpoint is compared to and complemented with those of art and art history. First, the text presents how industrial sites and technological artefacts from the recent past are transformed for/by the artists. In doing so, it offers a preliminary basic typology of art-obsolescence relations illustrated with cases from Europe, Asia and the Americas. Four major kinds of interactions are introduced: the conversion of abandoned industrial buildings into art galleries and museums; the transformation of larger obsolete industrial/technological areas into creative hubs; the intervention of artists in industrial ruins; and the creative recycling of technological waste. Second, the text infers from the examples provided in the typology three possible functions of art regarding heritage: revelation/addition of value; mediation between the public and dark heritages; and recognition in technological and industrial history. In the end, the paper defends the role of art in the making of industrial and technological heritages, as well as in reconnecting them to society.

In the literature of mathematical inequalities, convex functions of different kinds are used for the extension of classical Hadamard inequality. Fractional integral versions of the Hadamard inequality are also studied extensively by applying Riemann–Liouville fractional integrals. In this article, we define (α,h−m)-convex function with respect to a strictly monotone function that unifies several types of convexities defined in recent past. We establish fractional integral inequalities for this generalized convexity via Riemann–Liouville fractional integrals. The outcomes of this work contain compact formulas for fractional integral inequalities which generate results for different kinds of convex functions.

The present study aims to develop a conceptual framework of the scope and challenges of Tier 2 Business Schools in India. Management education has seen a drastic change in the recent past with a huge inflow of students, and this gave management institutes an edge to grow. Besides taking this opportunity, some institutes have compromised on various parameters which is degrading quality education. In this study, strategic analysis has been done by using the past review. For strategic analysis on challenges and future scope of Tier 2 Business Schools (T2BS) in India, challenges-scope matrix has been carefully developed and evaluated. Research procedure adopted in this study is professionally framed, and systematic review of literature has been done before concluding the study.

AbstractA reaction against the death of the author provided one context in which autofiction started to develop in the 1970s. The rebuttal of the death of the author has been prominent among postcolonial writers, who, because their voices were historically marginalized until the recent past, are unlikely to accept the tacit silencing that theories of the death of the author might imply. Through a discussion of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s depiction of Nigeria’s Biafran War of 1967–1970 in Half of a Yellow Sun (2006) and Justin Cartwright’s reflection on the massacre of Zulus by Boers in 1838 in Up Against the Night (2015), this chapter shows how they use techniques associated with autofiction to contribute to new forms of memory culture in post-conflict societies.

Objective: To determine the frequency of Pregnancy-related acute kidney injury in the Pakistani population and its effect on maternal health. Study Design: Cross-sectional study. Place and Duration of the Study: Department of Nephrology and Obstetrics and Gynecology, Combined Military Hospital Kharian, from Jan 2018 to Dec 2020. Methodology: All pregnant women with normal renal functions at the time of enrolment in the study and no previous history of any kidney disease or renal procedure in the recent past (at least 3 months) before conception were included in our study at Combined Military Hospital Kharian. All participants had serum creatinine tested at enrolment and were inquired specifically about any history of renal disease or any renal procedure in the recent past (at least 3 months old). Results: Mean maternal age in the study was 29 ± 7.67 years however it ranged from 16-41 years. Around a quarter of acute kidney injury cases occurred in the first and second trimesters combined, with 26 (12%) and 24 (11%) cases in the first and second trimesters, respectively. Thirty percent of acute kidney injury cases were diagnosed in the third trimester. A substantial number 58 (27%) of cases developed azotemia which persisted beyond three months and developed chronic kidney disease of various stages. Regarding maternal outcomes, 166 (77%) mothers recovered completely. However, 43 (20%) patients had some degree pf azotemia, a few cases required permanent renal replacement therapy. Conclusion: Acute kidney injury is a common problem in our community leading to suboptimal maternal outcomes..............

Nifedipine is chemically dimethyl 2,6-dimethyl-4-(2-nitrophenyl)-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate, a dihydropyridine derivative used frequently as anti-hypertensive. It is a L- type calcium channel blocker (CCB). Few analogical discrepancies were found between Nifedipine’s clinical output report and chemical analysis of solubility. The ambition of this research is to conduct a re-check and proper quantification of partition co-efficient (logP) of Nifedipine and clarify the discrepancy and rectify if any mistake has been done in recent past. The method used is the “gold standard” shake-flask method followed by analysis through UV-scpectrophotmetry.

29 chervnia v m. Talnomu, 1917 – 29 chervnia v m. The article examines reception of the online documentary "Kolyma — the birthplace of our fear" (produced by journalist Yuri Dud in 2019) in social networks. In their comments, internet users regard other topics along with the Soviet repressions, to which the film is dedicated. They discuss the traumatic experience of the recent past, namely the late Soviet period, the collapse of the USSR, the 1990s, and contemporary problems. As a result of analysis of YouTube comments, we identify two trauma narratives. The first narrative is based on the idea of violation of civil human rights, the second focuses on the violation of socio-economic rights. Different topics appear in comments and posts on social media depending on which rights viewers consider key and which they pay more attention to when watching the documentary. In the case of civil rights, these include contemporary political repressions in Russia, names of famous political prisoners, references to recent protests. In the case of socio-economic rights, these topics include privatization, oligarchs, economic reforms, inequality. Those users who comment about the violation of socio-economic rights generally express a positive attitude towards the USSR and a critical attitude towards capitalism. Topics such as corruption or the problems of the penitentiary system in Russia are “inbetween” — they are important symbols in both narratives. The study clarifies how the cultural trauma narrative of the recent past and present-day events is formed. We also demonstrate how this process takes place on social media, and how social media enables participation of ordinary users and not only public figures.

A brief overview of the main historical events that accompanied the formation and establishment of the Laboratory of Oceanology in the Academy of Sciences in 1941 is given. Then, a few years later, the Laboratory was transformed into the Institute of Oceanology, the director of which was appointed the Minister of the Merchant Fleet of the USSR, Academician P. P. Shirshov. By his initiative in 1949, the Institute became the owner of its first large research vessel "Vityaz". It is shown that the entire history of the institute and its research team was primarily based on the development and generalization of the results of regular sea and ocean expeditions. The article provides general information about the results obtained in the recent past, and their development and deepening in the works of the institute at present.
