We present a set of technical means for creating a data collection system. We carried out the formalization of the processes of implementing the control functions of a technical object. The multifunctional data collection system consists of functionally complete devices that perform certain functions in the context of the system operation. This system, on the one hand, can be one of the nodes of a distributed data collection system, on the other hand, it can be used autonomously. We show the relevance of the system creation. The development is based on the RISC microcontroller STM32H743VIT6, ARM Cortex-M7 family, operating at a frequency of up to 400 MHz. The main modules of the system include: a 20-input voltage distributor; a power supply and settings module; a digital control module; a module for analyzing, storing and transmitting data to a control computer. We considered the composition and purpose of these modules. A chain of devices is responsible for data collection in the system under consideration: sensor - matching circuit - ADC - microcontroller. Since the system includes not only an ADC but also a DAC, an object management system can be implemented on its basis. The choice of sensors for taking information is due to the characteristics of the object of control. It is possible to manually measure the electrical parameters of the communication circuits, including checking the power supply of IDE and SATA devices. The presented data collection system is a tool that can be used to automate the processes of monitoring the condition of technical facilities

To do ethnography implies dealing with the agency of technical objectsi. The aim of this paper is to share a few ideas on how to tackle the one of vinyls in the particular activity that is the mix of a disc jockey. To do so, I first provide a general picture of the work of Xiao Deng, a Chinese disc jockey I observed in Beijing between 2003 and 2004. Then I present three observations of specific events that occured during that period which, I believe, bring into light not only some specificities of the agency of the technical object “vinyl” but also useful information about how one can take into account the agency of objects when doing ethnography.

Abstract. At present, environmental problems have become aggravated. The production process has a negative impact on the natural environment. It accumulates these harmful secondary effects. The degree of their harmful effects is increasing rapidly. The natural environment, taking into account its self-healing, undergoes dangerous, irreversible changes in its state. Now it is possible to talk only about slowing down this process. The ability to slow down and then stop the increase in the harmful impact on the natural environment is the essence of the nature conservation activities of humanity. It is necessary to move from a strategy of using the natural environment to a strategy of parity interaction with it. The problem was discussed at the Kyoto and Paris conferences of global importance. Among the branches of production, the most dangerous for the natural environment is energy. Its harmful effect is complex. Defending against it is a complex environmental issue. The adopted energy saving program actively contributes to solving the problem of saving the natural environment from degradation and death. The most environmentally aggressive element of power plants is solid fuel boiler plants. Reducing the intensity of their impact is the main direction of activities to protect the natural environment. The most difficult technical object is considered the power unit of a large thermal power plant. The most difficult part is the boiler plant. The most difficult element is the steam boiler. The level of environmental friendliness of the boiler is highly dependent on the degree of its wear. The problem of updating the fleet of boilers is of current importance. The general line of improving the environmental friendliness of production should be considered an increase in the level of environmental friendliness of power plants, especially those using fossil fuels, and a decrease in their emissions of carbon dioxide and heat. It is necessary to improve boiler installations, to increase their efficiency level, and the quality of their management. It is important to ensure the modernization of worn-out boiler installations based on their complete or partial renewal. In the formation of the power engineering of the future, the socio-psychological position of humanity must be radically changed.

The analysis of the reliability parameters of a technical object and the determination of the change in the reliability of the object over time, requires the knowledge of the functional characteristics and reliability parameters of the elements included in a system. On the basis of the failure data of the selected element of the object, in this case the vehicle, it is possible to determine the average working time to failure of the element and the appropriate form of distribution that characterizes the reliability and durability parameters of the tested element. The main purpose of the research presented in the article was to develop a method of assessing the reliability of an electronic component of a vehicle-a boot lid contactor. This paper also presents three possible methods of repairing the boot lid contactor (sealing the housing with adhesive with better way, replacing the element with a new one or the most time-consuming solution, changing the shape of the boot lid). The authors also decided to determine the reliability and cost parameters that will allow preventive replacement of this element. The tests were carried out on a fleet of 61 vehicles of the same model, but with different body structures. Contactor failures were reported in 41 cases, of which 29 were in the hatchback construction and 12 in the estate type. The analysis of the distribution selection for the tested part of the passenger car-the boot lid contactor-was performed using the Likelihood Value (LKV) test to determine the rank of distributions. Also the maximum likelihood (MLE) method was used to estimate the distribution parameters. The three-parameter Weibull distribution was the best-fitted distribution in both cases. It was clearly defined that one model of car with two different types of body have vastly different reliability characteristic. Based on the reliability characteristic and parameters, the appropriate preventive actions can be taken, minimizing the risk of damage, thus avoiding financial losses and guaranteeing an appropriate level of vehicle safety.

To solve the problem of information support for the synthesis of new technical solutions, a method of extracting structured data from an array of Russian-language patents is presented. The key features of the invention, such as the structural elements of the technical object and the relationships between them, are considered as information support. The data source addresses the main claim of the invention in the device patent. The unit of extraction is the semantic structure Subject-Action-Object (SAO), which semantically describes the constructive elements. The extraction method is based on shallow parsing and claim segmentation, taking into account the specifics of writing patent texts. Often the excessive length of the claim sentence and the specificity of the patent language make it difficult to efficiently use off-the-shelf tools for data extracting. All processing steps include: segmentation of the claim sentences; extraction of primary SAO structures; construction of the graph of the construct elements f the invention; integration of the data into the domain ontology. This article deals with the first two stages. Segmentation is carried out according to a number of heuristic rules, and several natural language processing tools are used to reduce analysis errors. The primary SAO elements are extracted considering the valences of the predefined semantic group of verbs, as well as information about the type of processed segment. The result of the work is the organization of the domain ontology, which can be used to find alternative designs for nodes in a technical object. In the second part of the article, an algorithm for constructing a graph of structural elements of a separate technical object, an assessment of the effectiveness of the system, as well as ontology organization and the result are considered.

A key element of exploitation processes constitutes maintenance operations and tasks. While being conducted in the proper way, they have a crucial effect on achieving the assumed by aircraft designer and operator goals. Properly conducted maintenance operations allow to meet all the technical objects readiness requirements as well as to achieve desired acceptable risk level. Maintenance system effectiveness might be generally a crucial task for company or entity responsible for the maintenance. In this context, particularly relevant become technical object maintenance procedures and tasks developed by their manufacturers. Experience of the article authors quite early shows the need of the mainte-nance programmes modification. Aircraft manufacturers usually are not so eager to develop and implement mainte-nance programme modifications. Presented situation is very much the case in aviation transport. This was the reason why authors of this article decided to prepare and develop this elaboration which might constitute the assistance and supports complex technical objects users in maintenance decision. The main purpose of this article is to present maintenance decisions’ supporting method for the aircraft operators. This article provides guidelines which include a description of risk in the context of aviation maintenance and introduction of some methodologies, tools and criteria that support identification, analysis and evaluation of risk. Authors included idea, how the aircraft preventive maintenance could be used to mitigate aircraft failure risk during flight operations. It also shows how to adopt and develop effective maintenance program using tools for adequate risk analysis, optimal interval assignments, and selection of the most effective maintenance task. Authors presented methodology and de-scribed steps of the logic diagram analysis for the aircraft systems and their components, in order to manage and adopt aircraft maintenance program to fulfil aircraft airworthiness requirements and operational availability. The whole methodology was described on the basis of the F 16 aircraft maintenance system and with reference to the maintenance data. This article might also constitute an introduction to the aircraft maintenance programme development method.

One of the most important features of the proper operation of technical objects is monitoring the vibrations of their mechanical components. The currently significant proportion of the research methods in this regard includes a group of research methods based on the conversion of vibrations using sensors providing data from individual locations. In parallel with the continuous improvement of these tools, new methods for acquiring information on the condition of the object have emerged due to the rapid development of visual systems. Their actual effectiveness determined the switch from research laboratories to actual industrial installations. In many cases, the application of the visualization methods can supplement the conventional methods applied and, under particular conditions, can effectively replace them. The decisive factor is their non-contact nature and the possibility for simultaneous observation of multiple points of the selected area. Visual motion magnification (MM) is an image processing method that involves the conscious and deliberate deformation of input images to the form that enables the visual observation of vibration processes which are not visible in their natural form. The first part of the article refers to the basic terms in the field of expressing motion in an image (based on the Lagrangian and Eulerian approaches), the formulation of the term of optical flow (OF), and the interpretation of an image in time and space. The following part of the article reviews the main processing algorithms in the aspect of computational complexity and visual quality and their modification for applications under specific conditions. The comparison of the MM methods presented in the paper and recommendations for their applications across a wide variety of fields were supported with examples originating from recent publications. The effectiveness of visual methods based on motion magnification in machine diagnosis and the identification of malfunctions are illustrated with selected examples of the implementation derived from authors’ workshop practice under industrial conditions.

In information technology, it is expedient to determine the sustainability of information, that is, the ability to receive accurate information in changing conditions. In such circumstances, input processes are described by non-stationary random processes. The article proposes a model and a method for the numerical determination of the sustainability of information (sustainability index) under conditions of nonstationarity of input processes, as well as information technology that allows you to visually obtain information about the constancy of specific information depending on the decision on the state of a technical object. For example, a bridge structure was chosen as such an object, and the information is formed on the basis of signals describing the deflections of the lower part of the structure. In the article the probability densities of stationary and non-stationary processes of deflection of bridge structures for various types of loads were analyzed. The dependence of the sustainability of information on the root-mean-square value of the deflection of bridge structures was found, as well as the dependence of the sustainability of information on the root-mean-square value of the deflection at large fluctuations of stationary deflections.A graphical user interface was developed, which allows you to see the graph of the distribution of the probability density of deflection at a certain point of the bridge structure visually, as well as to numerically determine the index of information sustainability, which, by definition, can vary from 0 to 1. The presence of a minimum value of the index can be interpreted as the lack of sustainability of information and the maximum value of the sustainability index can be interpreted as the presence of information sustainability. It is concluded that this method is universal and can be used for various technical objects under non-stationary conditions. After analyzing the graphs of the dependence of the sustainability index and the root-mean-square deflection, it was found that with an increase of the root-mean-square value of the deflection for a non-stationary process at small fluctuations of stationary deflections, the sustainability of information significantly decreases.

The processes of exploitation of military objects are usually characterised by the specificity of the operation and the complexity of both the process itself and the object. This specificity may relate both to the type of tasks that these objects carry out and to the environment in which these processes take place. Complexity is usually reflected in the very structure of an object (for example, a ship, an aircraft or a helicopter) and, consequently, in its operation/maintenance system. The above mentioned features, as well as the limited access to data, naturally limits the set of publications available on this subject. In this article, the authors have presented a method of assessing the readiness of military helicopters operated by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland. The readiness of technical objects used in military exploitation systems is a basic indicator of equipment preparation for executing tasks. In exploitation process research, the mathematical models are usually discrete in states and continuous in time stochastic processes, in the set of which Markov models are included. The paper presents an example of using Markov processes with discrete time and with continuous time to assess the readiness of a technical object performing tasks appearing in random moments of time. At the same time, the aim of the examined system to achieve a state of balance is presented.

Machine learning (ML) is applied in various logistic processes utilizing innovative techniques (e.g., the use of drones for automated delivery in e-commerce). Early challenges showed the insufficient drones’ steering capacity and cognitive gap related to the lack of theoretical foundation for controlling algorithms. The aim of this paper is to present a game-based algorithm of controlling behaviours in the relation between an operator (OP) and a technical object (TO), based on the assumption that the game is logistics-oriented and the algorithm is to support ML applied in e-commerce optimization management. Algebraic methods, including matrices, Lagrange functions, systems of differential equations, and set-theoretic notation, have been used as the main tools. The outcome is a model of a game-based optimization process in a two-element logistics system and an algorithm applied to find optimal steering strategies. The algorithm has been initially verified with the use of simulation based on a Bayesian network (BN) and a structured set of possible strategies (OP/TO) calculated with the use of QGeNie Modeller, finally prepared for Python. It has been proved the algorithm at this stage has no deadlocks and unforeseen loops and is ready to be challenged with the original big set of learning data from a drone-operating company (as the next stage of the planned research).
