Abstract The aim of this research was to find a correlation between the Persuasion Knowledge Model and Instagram Advertisements. Past research has primarily focused on this model on other forms of media such as television, radio, newspaper, etc. Additionally, the ages studied have been over the age of 30 as well as not focused within a certain geological demographic. For this study, participants were residents of Pennsylvania who vary in age between 18-25 years old. Using a survey, statistical analysis, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient Analysis test (PCC test), this study measured each of the 49 participants’ persuasion knowledge and correlated it to the advertisements chosen in the survey. The analyses found that those with lower persuasion knowledge were more likely to select an advertisement with less text variance and influential text. Further, a new understanding was found that showed a slightly negative correlation due to the PCC test, but the correlation was not statistically significant. Therefore, the findings of this research study refuted the initial hypothesis and other studies conducted in the field of persuasion knowledge.

The current study aims to analyze the relationship of selected kinematic variables to the technique of pull shot in cricket. For the purpose of the study the researcher purposively selected five male inter-university cricket players from lnipe, gwalior of 18 to 24 years., the technique of pull shot in batting performance of each selected subjects was recorded on the basis of certain criteria (point system). It was divided into 2 components; 1. placement of feet and 2. execution (contact) each consist of maximum 10 points. The angles at selected joints were recorded to the nearest degree. The c.g. was measured nearest to the 1/10th of the centimetre. On the basis of sequence photographs obtained from the videography, the scholar developed stick figures from which selected kinematic variables was calculated. The center of gravity of whole body was determined by kinovea software. To find the the relationship of selected kinematic variables to the technique of pull shot in cricket pearson product moment correlation coefficient was used by means of spss software. It was found that, in case of moment execution angle at left shoulder joint and angle at left elbow joint showed significant relationship with performance.

Many researches have shown the facts that the students’ skills in writing can be improved by having a good reading habit. It was convinced that the students reading habit has great impact on the improvement of students’ writing ability. The students who read extensively will acquire more vocabularies that lead them to have greater proficiency in writing. Therefore, this study was purposed to know whether reading habit of the eighth graders of SMPN 6 Kayuagung was significantly correlated to their writing skill. By means of Purposive sampling, 124 students of the whole number of the population were selected as the sample. A correlational study was applied. A questionnaire and written test were distributed to get the data. Twenty items of a ready-made questionnaire were used to know students’ habit in reading and a writing test was administered to measure students’ writing skill. The writing test was reliable because its reliability coefficient was 0.942. In data analysis, Pearson Product Moment Correlation coefficient on SPSS 20 was used. The findings revealed that r-obtained (0.685) was bigger than the value of r-table (0.176) at p-value which was less than 0.05. Thus, the formulated hypotheses were proved. In other words, there was a significant correlation between reading habit and writing skill of the eighth graders at SMPN 6 Kayuagung.

This thesis examines the estimates of pupils' performances in School Certificate made by teachers at Hutt Valley High School over a six year period. It aims to assess the degree of accuracy of teacher predictions, in particular at the pass/fail boundary, and to identify and evaluate the relative importance of some correlates of accurate prediction. The data for this study is taken from school records showing for each class the name of the teacher and the estimated and achieved marks of each pupil in School Certificate for the period 1973 to 1978. The statistical analyses include the calculation of the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient between the estimated and achieved marks of pupils in English, Mathematics, Science and French. Expectancy tables are provided to give greater detail of the accuracy of teacher's estimates at different points across the mark range. A multiple regression analysis is carried out in order to identify and evaluate the relative importance of some correlates of accurate prediction. The statistical section concludes with a summary analysis of the data from the subjects for the year following the major analysis. The results of the study show that the correlations between the estimated and achieved marks are greater in Mathematics and French than in English and Science, however, the estimated and achieved class means across subjects show greatest agreement in English and least agreement in Mathematics. Whilst variations across subjects and across years occur, in general teachers show a tendency to underestimate pupils at the upper end of the ability range and overestimate the marks of pupils at other points of the scale. A movement of approximately 16.5% across the pass/fail boundary was observed when comparing the estimated and achieved marks of pupils. The study also concludes that the only factor to reveal a substantial and systematic link with the quality of teachers' predictions was the ability level of the class under analysis - teachers were generally more able to predict the results of their pupils for higher ability than lower ability classes (English excepted).

This study examined the impact of government incentive policy on workers` productivity in Taraba State (a study of Takum L.G.A). Survey research design was adopted, while data were obtained through primary source. The population of the study was 300 and the sample size is 171 by using Taro Yamane statistical method, Data were presented in frequency tables and percentages were used to analyze the data. Formulated hypotheses on the other hand were tested using Pearson product moment correlation, aided by the statistical package for Social Sciences (SPSS)version 23.0. The findings revealed that good incentive polices motivate workers, in that motivated workers are happy workers and happy workers are productive workers. The study further revealed that a monetary incentive is essential in getting workers to perform better. Therefore, the study recommends that management of Takum L.G.A should Endeavour to improve the workers remuneration in order to motivate employees to put more effort in their services. In addition, it also recommends that the management of Takum L.G.A should identify a non-financial incentive scheme that will motivate workers to perform more tasks. Lastly, it recommends that, the government of Takum L.G.A should constantly review and introduce new incentive policy that will aid to motivate employees for higher productivity.
