This study is aimed to investigate students’ perceptions towards the mDPBL approach as a multimedia-based learning approach. mDPBL approach is a combination of two different teaching approaches (i.e. DIA and PBL) with multimedia. Two departments were selected in this study (i.e. Informatics Engineering and Information System). The survey was divided into two phases, pre-survey and post-survey. 276 students participated in this study. The quasi-experiment method was used with two different ways teaching strategies (i.e. traditional and mDPBL approach). The study revealed that the majority of students have a positive impact on positive learning outcomes in the mDPBL approach. A significant increase in students' perceptions of the effectiveness of the mDPBL approach is proven by an increase in the average score of students' perceptions and perceived effectiveness of 2.67 points or 8.71%, respectively. Keyword- Multimedia, Traditional approach, mDPBL approach

Abstract The application of digital imaging to color measurement is more and more extensive, which also provides new ideas for gemology. In this paper, the single-factor experiment method and orthogonal experiment design are used to study the influence parameters of the digital imaging system (DIS) on gem color measurement. Among them, the illuminance has the most significant impact on the measurement results, followed by the exposure time, and the change of the measurement distance has an insignificant impact on the results; through range analysis and analysis of variance, the most suitable measurement parameters for red jadeite are 1600lx, 12500ms, 25cm.

Whether modified poplar can obtain a qualified or even excellent finishing effect on European and American furniture is worthy of deep study. To evaluate whether the conventional non-transparent coating process is suitable for modified poplar, a multi-level hybrid orthogonal experiment method was carried out to start research on how factors affect the paint film performance of the non-transparent coating process. The effect of experimental factors and levels on paint film performance is pointed out, and the optimal factors and levels are found. Parameter optimization of the polyurethane non-transparent finishing process based on modified poplar is carried out. An application basis was provided for the extensive use of modified poplar wood as a substrate in the European and American furniture markets. The conclusions are: (1) gloss of paint film can be improved by increasing the number of nitrocellulose (NC) lacquer transparent topcoats, (2) adhesion and thickness of paint film can be improved by polyurethane (PU) sealing primer, (3) the initial paint film’s abrasion is influenced efficiently by the coating process and coating sanding. PU sealing primer has an efficient influence on the later abrasion of paint film. The effect of modified poplar surface pretreatment on the mass loss of paint film tends to be stable.

The study purpose. This study aimed to observe the effect of virtual media-based obstacle run training on dribbling ability of women futsal players in the Women’s Futsal Student Activity Unit (UKM) during the Covid-19 pandemic by examining the effect of the treatment. Materials and methods. The research used a pre-experiment method using a quantitative descriptive approach with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. A total of 30 students who participated in the Women's Futsal UKM at the University of Suryakancana became the research population. These female futsal athletes are campus team amateur athletes below the professional level of the Indonesian Futsal League. Results. Based on research data, the average value before the obstacle run training treatment was 10.840 seconds and after the treatment was 9.600 seconds, which means that there was time, or in other words, the woman futsal player’s dribbling ability increased. The result of the test showed that the value of the interval training results before and after being given was 0.859. Conclusions. It is suggested that further research explore the use of different kinds of media in improving the dribbling skills of futsal athletes during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Background: According to Mexican growers of ‘Jalapeño’ peppers, its commercialization is the primary limitation. Thus, consumer knowledge is critical to develop added-value strategies. The objective of this study was to identify ‘Jalapeño’ quality attributes to determine consumer preferences and willingness to pay, based on socioeconomic characteristics. Methods: A nationwide face-to-face survey was carried out using the discrete choice experiment method. The survey included 1200 consumers stratified by gender, age and region. Results: Heterogeneity analysis using the probabilistic segmentation model revealed three types of consumers: A price-sensitive segment, non-demanding consumers without specific preferences and selective consumers with a preference shifted toward specific ‘Jalapeño’ characteristics. Thus, detail-oriented producers must compete through price strategies, based on the marketplace (markets on wheels, grocery stores, or supermarkets) and through some quality attributes preferred by selective consumers. Therefore, results suggest that farmers should grow the correct varieties with appropriate agronomic management to cope consumer preferences. Conclusions: This paper contributes to the growing body of the ‘Jalapeño’ literature by explicitly investigating consumer preferences and willingness to pay for them.

The design scheme and fabrication technology of the detonation control system for the high-speed deep penetration need to be tested for reliability and effectiveness through shooting range tests. However, the shooting range tests of the high-speed deep penetration are so demanding and expensive that it is difficult for the detonation control system to be tested many times. This paper focuses on penetration characteristics of the detonation control system to put forward a laboratory-scaled experiment method with the low impact velocity. Independent parameters of projectile and target affecting the penetration characteristics are effectively analyzed and extracted. A multi-parameter programming method of the scaled experiment for high-speed deep penetration is established. By adjusting the key parameters, the loading conditions of the scaled experiment can be obtained, which can get the comparable deceleration curve with those of the high-speed deep penetration. Finally, the extreme working environment for the detonation control system in the high-speed deep penetration is simulated through the scaled experiment in the laboratory. The scaled experiment method can get the comparable deceleration peak and time history. It is highly economical, and the experimental process is also repeatable, which can provide a reliable reference for the protection design into the projectile.

The application of traceability technology is an important way to solve food safety problems. Different traceability technologies bring different effects to consumers. Existing studies have not explored consumers’ preferences in regards to product traceability technology applications, and they have not analyzed their willingness to pay. Therefore, this study focused on organic rice, an ecological agricultural product. The study was based on a survey from Jiangxi Province, China. It used a selective experiment method in order to analyze consumer preferences and the willingness to pay for ecological agricultural product traceability technology. The results show that consumer preferences are as follows: blockchain technology application attributes, traditional traceability-technology-application attributes, high credit-supervision attributes, and international-certification attributes. In terms of willingness to pay, consumers have the highest willingness to pay for the application of blockchain technology, which they are willing to pay CNY 21.902 more per kg for this attribute. At the same time, consumers are also willing to make additional payments for traditional traceability-technology-application attributes, high credit-supervision attributes, and international-certification attributes. Their willingness to pay is CNY 20.426, CNY 17.115 yuan, and CNY 11.049, respectively.
